Delivery review In…read moreshort Multiple deliveries in this review, actually. These folks deliver amazing bar snacks that you crave so much it turns into a meal. In long Corn dogs are one of those nostalgic delights that's somewhere between being fun for all ages and more of a guilty pleasure for grownups. What SD does is so much more varied and interesting that you forget you're eating little-kid food. The menu is the best way to explain how different they are--yeah, this is a breaded hot dog on a stick, but it comes so many different ways. If you ever loved a corn dog, anything that sounds good on this menu WILL be good. Beef, pork, cheese, whichever. More than once I ordered these while out having a few beers and immediately other people nearby would order some, too. It's a fun and infectious way to have a meal while you're watching a ballgame or whatever. Quite often, next time I'd see the same people, they'd be having more dogs from SD. This place is addictive!

It was my first time ever trying them and they weren't my favorite. I love corn dogs and thirsts what they tasted and looked like. You can order them half cheese half sausage or all cheese all sausage and they have different dipping sauces.

The…read moreavocado mayo spread was a strange consistency that looked like food dye and my chicken breast was cut across. It didn't seem like a full chicken breast and felt that I was being shortchanged compared to other fast food places. The onion rings were delicious and the hot dog was very meaty. I ordered a kids burger to try and the amount of ketchup that out on this hot dog was equivalent to 3 packets. The ketchup was extra sweet and pretty intense. The cook was excellent and seemed very detail oriented with each other. The customer service at the front counter was a little abrupt. I made a mistake with an order while using a kiosk and I had to purchase another hot dog. Compared to the Cali Burger at Westlake mall, this locations service was very sub par. I think for a chain there are other local burger spots that stand out for food quality, customer service, and flavor.

So why the one star review? Sit down, this might take a minute. I HATE writing bad reviews, but sorry, but this one is well earned. The employee there was very friendly, but there was a bit of a language barrier. She struggled to understand what I was asking and I had to ask questions several times. I do speak some Spanish, so I was happy to help bridge the gap. I asked how much more it was (in Spanish) for the combo, but she didn't seem to know. I finally figured it out on the menu board, which she confirmed on the screen. Also the customer interface was confusing, apparently you have to tap the screen to pay? Not sure what the purpose of this confusing interface is, but we got it done I suppose... Third thing was that I also needed to use the restroom, like fairly urgently, but it was occupied. For like 15 minutes. Apparently the male employee was in there smoking pot. Thanks that I was forced to smell that while I was using the bathroom. As we were leaving, my friend went to get water at the fountain drinks and it got stuck open and he wasn't able to stop the flow. They said it was okay, it happens all the time. SMH... Finally, and least importantly, as I was leaving, there was a standing table in front of the shop that had been outside for a LOOONG time. It was made of formica and plywood. The plywood layers were completely separating and the top was cracked like crazy. It's too bad. I won't be coming back here, despite the decent food. Management needs to get their act together....

You will want to check in first. The insides look nice and comfortable, what you would expect for a tavern. Service was outstanding. They have some good beers on tap, so we order a pitcher of a Wit Beer and a hummus plate. The hummus was great and we loved the peppers than came with it. For my meal, I had the Rodeo burger. This came with bacon, cheddar cheese, an onion ring and BBQ sauce and was absolutely delicious. Every burger should come with an onion ring and I am surprised they do not sell them as a side (although the fries were really good also. We will absolutely be back.

Yes, we were a fairly large group, but there was never an issue in the past, so imagine our surprise when the manager or shift lead greeted us in a condescending manner because we hadn't called ahead. Again, more than a year of eating here and it was never an issue. If we could not be accommodated, or had to wait this could have been communicated to us as proper adults, not in the way this was handled. Several members of our party walked out and I think the rest of us have decided that as good as the food is, it's not good enough for us to come back after this experience.
