Normally this situation would be handled maturely by both sides (maybe even with a laugh), but instead she spat back 'you asked for 3 of each, loud and clear', so I felt a bit unwelcome. Customer service of even the mediocre variety would've been 'Oh, I heard / thought you said __' and maybe even a 'sorry', even if I *had* in fact uttered that. The New Jersey Cookie reminds you that Jersey has always had an understandable inferiority complex, boasting excellence it never delivers. This and the Chocolate Oatmeal cookie (half the diameter and twice the thickness- TWSS - and really dense in a not-good way) diluted the Robicelli name. The discounts mentioned by others could've lightened the blow, but still wouldn't justify a return visit sans Offer - there are just too many cafes these days.** Judging by the logo, they're apparently affiliated with Iconic Printing ***Robicelli Cookie $2.30 x 2 $5.01 Yes, a truly annoying penny extra - wonder if they do this if you pay cash, too... *They were out of their macarons and cupcakes as well as some other things on the very long menu atop the display but the counter was still packed, with sweets of all sorts scattered - don't look for more than a split-second or risk elicited askance glances) **Owners and friends/family of owners and fans of Iconic, keep your 'you really need to try the coffee' remarks to yourself. ***My visit coincided with PayPal's Android v5.5 bug, and when I tried to rectify it with the business on site, I basically got a 'GTFO, bud' despite there being no one in line. They sternly and dismissively deferred to PayPal (as a new business and given how bad PayPal is, I understand, but at least show some hint that you care) The owner did extensively reply to my email to both parties to explain why he couldn't resolve the situation and sort of apologize, which I appreciated, hence the 3, but the rest of the experience was a 1.5 a new offer and another issue - maybe due to the awkward penny 'correction'? Robicellis Blondie - ah, so that's what these are supposed to taste and feel like $2.98 Croissant - not worth it $2.30 Correction $0.01 $5.75 Almond/choco croissant - much friendlier staffers, mispronouncing apple mille feuille with me (and entering it into the POS after I left apparently) - not bad warmed up but nothing spectacular $3.45 -$3.00 Total $0.76 PB pretzel bar $4 - not bad

The orange is kind of bitter to my liking but still pretty unique to try it out! Today I saw they got a new type of Ito En Oi Ocha lemon green tea for sale! There was only one bottle left in the fridge and I got it to try it out! It said 0 grams of added sugar and when I tried it, the green tea was not even sweet at all. It did not really taste like your average lemon tea like Brisk Iced tea. The lemon was so subtle that you could barely even taste any lemon. I mostly tasted the green tea instead. It had a weird taste in my opinion. I thought I tried it out but I don't think I would be getting this in the future. I will just stick to the green tea, jasmine tea, oolong tea, and cold brew matcha tea from Ito En! The best thing about Teso Mini is that it sells the Ito En green tea bottles for $1.99 each! Other places cost more than that so I'm very thankful Teso Mini has Ito En at a cheaper price!

Sadly, we dropped by Ten Ichi Mart at least 30 minutes after the discount began, so there wasn't much variety left -- just a few onigiris and some trays of maki rolls. I figured an onigiri would be a great breakfast option for the following day. My favorite is usually mentaiko or salmon, and fortunately, they had one salmon left. At this hour, it was only $2 for one onigiri! I took it out of the fridge the next morning and found that the rice was still soft and lightly sticky rather than brittle and dry. However, I thought there wasn't a lot of salmon or seasoning, which was a bit disappointing. At $2, I didn't mind, but would be a tough sell for me at full price. Overall, it seemed like my friends enjoyed what they got too, as everyone swarmed the fridge to see what they could find. I make an effort to stop by a Japanese mart later at night for their discounted food each time I'm in the city.

So it's 4am on a Thursday, those are critical facts to remember about this story. I am waiting in front of Sheen Brothers for my girlfriend to buy some snack foods, or something along those lines. Prior to this we were out partying, which we normally don't do so late on a weeknight, but screw it, sometimes you gotta cut loose. As I lean against the wall I start to hear what seems like a transistor radio in the distance. The sound grows heavier as it approaches. Soon it starts to sound like a heavy metal guitar track. I turn to look at the source of this Metallica-esque ballad and before my eyes I see something that to this day might be one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Keep in mind it's 4AM ON THURSDAY! I glance towards the street and there is a man dressed in a clown suit, you know, the one piece kind that have those huge ruffled collars. He has a cowboy hat on and is wearing aviator sunglasses, but has no clown make up on. Strapped to his side is a portable guitar amp which is blasting the Slayer inspired tunes that he is playing from a guitar that's hanging over his shoulders. Finally to drive this all home, he's not walking down the street. No, he's on roller blades! Just cruising on down the street at 4am playing heavy metal in a clown suit! What in the hell. I wish I had a video camera, I would have made a documentary. In regards to Sheen Brothers...I figured I could have talked about how nice the Chinese lady that works there is, or how it's a good convenient store, but I figured this was a much better story.
