A group of 15 of us went out for an after training wind down. Chose this place because some locals said it was fun and laid-back. Rather than getting dinners, the group ordered a variety of appetizers (and drinks). We shared the appetizers. They were so filling that they left no room for dinner. But that kind of was the plan. Here's our appetizer list. Chips and salsa, plus guacamole, bacon, wrapped jalapeños, Mexican street corn, quesadillas, and oh wait, there's more, blackened chicken fingers. From the fresh and salty/pepper chips to the salsa, guacamole, and everything else, the group overall was satisfied. My favorite were the blackened chicken fingers. A twist on chicken, but different good. If the weather was nicer, we would've gone out on the deck and enjoyed the water view. Next time.

I didn't expect to like it here as much as I did. They have their own private parking lot. The ambiance is just as awesome overlooking the river as Docksides and Duke's, but there's not as much outdoor seating. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick. The nachos were awesome and filled us up so much we didn't have room for our entree. The food was so flavorful, and we were able to get 2 additional dinners out of them. If you're a tequila buff, they have a lot of different options. We recommend!

we ate at Tequila Willie's when it first opened and it was not great, Year later ate there the other day for a friend's bday. Much better experience. menu is still way over complicated. This is not Cheesecake Factory where one gets a huge spiral bound menu. the menu is way to big, small print, weird color. portions for appetizers are way to big and entrees are small portions

    bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers

amazing drinks, orange crush and orange margarita were great. bartenders were awesome as always. Me and my dad frequently go and we always have fun there.

The food at Tequila Willie's is very good Mexican food! The prices and service really fit in with the place. The waitress was very nice, and I would go again. The environment is very nice, there is outdoor seating, too. I vote go here instead of Dockside Willies or Dukes. I do a lot of reviews, and this one I really acknowledge.

Stopped in for a nice birthday dinner for my daughter's 17th birthday,.. and Mannnn WHAT A PARTY FOUL ON MY PART!! To start off,... I ordered the guacamole dip to start us off with but an additional bowl of guacamole but she brings out two full plates of chips and side plates.... Smh how did you get that from an additional bowl of guacamole?? Followed by the server COMPLETELY FORGETTING MY PARTNERS BEVERAGE ALL TOGETHER!!! following by my daughters entire plate including the rice and beans being COLD! My burger first came with plain fries when I asked for seasoned, after once taken back and returned my burger had mayonnaise on it and not mustard and IM HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO MAYONNAISE!!! My partners wings were tasting like pine sol !! SOOO ALL IN ALL... THE LORAX SPEAKS FOR THE TREES, and I SPEAK FOR TEQUILA WILLIES.... THIS SHIT SUCKSSSSSS!!!!

We started dinner with Chips & Salsa. Which are made fresh the salsa has a distinct lime cilantro taste very good. For dinner I ordered the Jalapeño Burger 1/2 Lb of Black Angus Burger topped with hand breaded Jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, onion straws, lettuce & their bistro sauce on a fresh baked roll I mistakenly ordered a side of fries wow they were huge hot and fresh. This Burger is huge and delicious it's not spicy but it has a great flavor. My wife had the Blackened Shrimp Stax Bowl Spanish Rice, Smoked black beans, Corn, Willies Salsa, fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, fresh avocado, cotija cheese & Lime Crema makes for a large dinner. McKayla our server went above and beyond considering they were a bit busy but she had no problems keeping up and checking up on us! Very pleasant and very efficient! She was an 11 on the 1-10 scale. Tequila Willie's was redone inside and out and was given a southwestern vibe it's booths are very comfortable there is a large bar and plenty of seating they share a parking lot with Dicksude Willie's & Dukes! No room for anything else

Parking was easy to pull into. You can park in front. There is additional parking across from restaurant. When I walked in, dining area was spacious. The set up looked like it had three parts to it. One area looked like it could hold larger parties of people. I liked the rustic look. I was ready to converse and eat good food with my husband. Happy and comfortable. My nachos delicious with white cheese sauce and steak. The cilantro really gave it a good taste. Margarita was on point! The price of my meal was a fair price. Service was good. I enjoyed the meal and the ambience Tequila Willies is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am-11:00 pm. Friday and Saturday 11:00am-12:00 am. Sunday 11:00 am-11:00pm. It's a fairly new restaurant adjacent to Dockside Willies.

The restaurant itself had a few tables, a frozen ice cream box, video chance games, a huge rack of phone cards and several pictures decorating the walls. Most of the pictures depicted scenes from mexico, such as poncho villa, zapata, rural life, cows, etc... one of the walls was covered in mirrors and had a sombrero hanging on it. They have standard tacos at 2.50 apiece, chicken, beef or pork. We tried several of them. There was also a Torta for 8.50 that was pretty decent. There was some type of hot sauce (Valentina brand) here that that we put on it made it significantly better. The helado de fresa or strawberry ice cream ($1.50) balanced it out. We also had the Bistek Ranchero: it came with 6 yellow corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, beans, rice & lots of beef, mixed with red pepper. That cost 14.00 pretty decent if you ask me. What makes this place stand out in my opinion is the " tostada ceviche de camaron " or lime marinaded seafood salad on a deep fried corn tortilla. This item is occasionally also available at competitors but not nearly as good. 5 Stars, incredible food!

The chips come out PIPING HOT and are fresh fried, as they should be, but seems to be rare for Mexican restaurants in the area these days... the salsa is incredibly good. It is a touch spicy with a little sweetness, but we loved the flavor. The first basket is free (also not always the norm around here) and a second basket is only $1.50 more - that's amazing! We also got a queso con chorizo to share and the small size was PLENTY. We both decided on taco platters and that was a great choice - we got to try a bunch of meats that way. The al pastor was amazing, as was the carne asada, carnitas, and shrimp taco. The tacos were topped with an amazing guacamole sauce. I got corn tortilla tacos and they were perfectly griddled and warm. My husband enjoyed his flour tortilla tacos. The rice and beans were fresh and hot and delicious too. Food came out quick and exactly as we ordered, even with some modifications! We didn't love the additional red sauce in the squirt bottle that you can add to your food, but the salsa verde in the squirt bottle was good. I ordered an extra salsa to add to my tacos instead. For drinks, there's agua frescas and an extensive soda selection in a case to choose from. My husband was happy to see Mexican Coke. Service was great! Overall, we had two taco platters, queso, two drinks, plus an extra chips and salsa for less than $40. You can't beat it. We will be back!!

Décor was the typical Mexican, with over-the-top paint colors. The dining area was spacious. The waitress greeted us with big smiles. We sat ourselves by the window. Immediately we were offered a complimentary serving of chips and salsa. The chips were well made and the salsa was tangy and very appetizing. I made my order almost in no time for the Mole Poblano; my wife ordered Pechuga en Crema con Champiñones. The food came out in about 10 minutes; both dishes came with 4-5 tortillas. Now, the long-awaited mole sauce -- thick, dark, and complex. I watched a YouTube video on how it's typically made, so I had a level of respect and appreciation for it. It tasted like the popular five-spice bean curd jerky Asian snack -- bold and strong. I liked it very much. My wife's cream chicken, while moist, was bland in comparison. If you're like me, you'd be a bit confused when the bill came. The amounts were different from what the menu showed. Basically, the figures on the bill were the inflated prices that included surcharges for paying with a credit card. If you pay cash, you pay the menu prices instead.

Despite the chaos, Mid St8 was cranking out tacos in a really timely and efficient way, which we appreciated right away. We were also super lucky to snag a table nearby, because Mid St8 only has a handful of seats, and they fill up fast. We ordered two breakfast tacos -- egg, potato, and chorizo -- for $11.66, and they were absolutely worth it. First pleasant surprise: real eggs (you can taste the difference). We wouldn't have minded a little more chorizo, but overall the balance still worked. We also loved the double tortilla, and these tacos were STUFFED -- no skimping here. There were lots of onions and lots of lime crema already on the tacos, which we greatly appreciated. The crema was a clutch move and kept the double-tortilla noms from getting too dry. Good call, Mid St8 Taco. Flavor-wise, they really delivered. Super tasty, filling, and exactly what we wanted on a busy, chilly December morning. One of our favorite parts of the experience was the self-service condiment bar. Instead of being put on the spot to choose toppings, you get to customize your tacos with crema, pico de gallo, fire-roasted jalapeños, pickled onions, limes, pickled jalapeños, salsa picosa, and salsa verde. It was great being able to sample a few without committing to a giant scoop of anything we might not love. (Spoiler alert: the lime crema and pickled onions were our winners.) These breakfast tacos really hit the spot, and despite the crowds, the experience was smooth and satisfying. We will happily be back for more.

Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. Don't waste a trip just to find locked doors and shattered BBQ dreams. This place is hot right now--and very much worth the visit if there's still smoked meat left to be had!

I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I hope they do coconut pie at some point. My only critique is the burger (all sandwiches) should come with potato chips. Or fries but I am thinking they don't have a fryer there. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this place. I look forward to eating there again.

Verdadero Sabor replaced another Mexican restaurant in December of 2019, so I'm glad it's survived so far despite a short grand opening prior to the COVID pandemic. Dine in was available on this day with every other table open for seating. I hate the double doors which you have to pull open on your way in but fortunately they do provide hand sanitizer at the register. Both staff behind the counter wore masks which I appreciate. The menu items are very affordable, just about everything is under $10. We ordered Chicken and Steak Fajitas to go. They were ready in about 10 minutes. The fajitas were just OK. They weren't very tasty and the meat was on the dry side, but the salsa saved the day. I wish I had double amount of salsa because it was so good. Overall an OK first outing. The bibimbap and pork mandu I didn't try, but my cousin did enjoy it, the seafood jeon was delicious--seafood wasn't over cooked and it was not salty. The japchae noodles seemed a little over cooked, they didn't have the springiness I expect when I chew. Thr Yangnyum chicken was .. well, a little too breaded and fried and not what I expected at all. The sauce was a mix of sour and sweet salty spicy but not like a traditional Korean sweet and sour--I did not care for it at all (seemed Americanized?)--hard pass. The pork belly and cheese was amazing, imagine pork belly and chewy rice kicks in the most amazing not-too-spicy sauce paired with ooey gooey cheese. This alone was worth the trip! Soooo good. I just wished the baby was more cooperative during our dine in so we could have eaten more while it was piping hot. The amazingness of a few of these dishes really still makes this place five stars, especially with the awesomeness of a wonderful server/hostess/owner!
