Terrible is the only word to describe this place. When they first opened the place was good, sadly not anymore. Ordered a steak medium rare, served well done. My wife ordered chicken fajitas, how can you mess that up? Easy enough apparently, way over seasoned and the chicken was as dry as cardboard with the same consistency. Spoke with a manager whose only recourse was a dessert on them. Hard pass! Tye only reason for 1 star, the wait staff was good. read more

Went for an early dinner tonight after work. Ordered the chicken enchiladas off of the specials menu and they were FANTASTIC! Our server, Kandice (sp?) was equally as amazing! Will definitely come again. read more

A "meh" place at best. The food is okay, the decor is okay, but it's one of those "40 pages" restaurants where you can find stuff you like, but none of it is something you'd go back for. It's mainly a place to drink beer, have mediocre food and look at the river. The service is great and the people are nice, but you'll need pepper and salt and hot sauce for flavor. read more

While visiting Harrisburg PA on Columbus Day, we stopped at Tequila Willie's. Very ornate design and great parking. The restaurant was clean and friendly. However, I ordered a hamburger with veggies (red pepper and avocado) It was gross. My companion had a fried meal and it was fine. The cook put soggy sliced red peppers in the sandwich. The waitress pointed out they should have been grilled! But, she charged me full price and did not offer to replace the sandwich. Great place to have a drink, but, I would never eat there again and feel jipped in my wallet. I still left the waitress a tip. The problem was not her service. read more

Huge portions. Lovely Susquehanna River view. Happy Hour from 5-6pm every day. Our waitress was awesome and would definitely visit this restaurant again! read more

service was slow, took about 20 minutes to bring out our drinks, took about 50 minutes to bring out food. fries were not cooked, atleast 3 workers blatantly ignored us when we asked for napkins and a refill. read more

I was very disappointed being there. I went on Friday this past week for the first time with 3 others. First there was no hostess for 5+ minutes when we walked in. I guess there's a reason it wasn't busy. When we were sat, the server came to help us immediately and took our drink orders but when they came back with our drinks only half of us were ready to order. We gave our order and we assumed she'd come back in a few minutes to get the rest of our orders in but she didn't come back until our food was already done (25 minutes later). Then we decided to not get anymore food since it wouldn't be ready until half of us already finished our meal. After that we weren't helped until bringing back with our checks. Make no effort to bring drink refills, utensils, or napkins. We had to flag them down and the server was irritated we were interrupting her from talking with her coworkers for past the 20 minutes. And when we were able to get her attention to ask from napkins she came and left as fast as she could. We weren't able to ask for anything else so we had to flag her down again for refills. We could see our server sitting at a booth out of earshot talking with all her coworkers not doing anything to help any of her other tables either. Not sure if she was new but everyone else was working with purpose except her. read more

We had an amazing time ! Dallas was our bartender/server. She was the so much fun and really made us laugh . The place was empty being a Tuesday at 10 pm . The food was absolutely amazing. We had Birria tacos . A mahi bowl and some shrimp over Spanish rice and black beans . Will definitely be back ! And the guacamole was phenomenal. read more

The wings were outstanding!‍ Some of the best wings I've ever had I got 6 hot mango flavored ones. And I also had a stack bowl with Cajun Mahi . It was so much food I couldn't finish. The bartender Dallas was super nice and patient and the view and atmosphere were amazing as well! It's a must stop in Harrisburg! read more

Dinner with girls on a Saturday night. Was busy but not crowded. Service was great and food was delicious. Enjoyed a classic marg with upgrade of tequila. It was yummy. Watermelon margs were really good also. Pineapple marg was good but very sweet (too much to my liking). Will come here again for a dinner and drinks. read more

Their food is amazing. I had the nachos with chicken as an appetizer and everything was fresh. Diced tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. The tortilla chips are addictive. I also had the apple chicken salad. Again, no complaints. I wish I've taken a picture. The service, however, was a bit lacking. Our server came to our table twice and a bit rude on our way out. read more

This is a great location, however our server had no interest in serving us. We simply ordered nachos and a couple of beers to relax. Asked for extra sides and we had to ask twice. The nachos were so so at best, hardly any toppings! Been here before with no complaints, I hope this experience isn't a new thing here...... read more

Much anticipated to try this new riverfront venue and sister property of Dockside Willies and Dukes, while the drinks were excellent ($1 off from 5-6pm) the food left a-lot to be desired. Chips and salsa, supposed to be house made chips, not many on the plate and sure looked like store bought to me, salsa was ok, spicy...$6.95 The chicken bowl also over spicy and carne tacos (2) not great, lots of black beans and Spanish rice on the plate, just ok. Total boll for that and 2 drinks was $69+tip We like the other 2 places way better. Won't be back, too many other great Mexican options close by. read more

First off, improper practice of having a customer provide an ID for alcohol. Noticed multiple times in my 30 minutes of being here. Shittiest quesadilla ever made in my honest opinion. The cheese to meat ratio was trash. I had a whole bell pepper in a slice of my quesadilla with no meat whatsoever. lol this place is a joke. Terrible service don't eat here. Also asked for a Dos Equis Amber with a LIME and salt and received a lemon. How can you not tell the difference between a lime and lemon? read more

The food was great. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate us. You can't beat the view of the river. Margarita was fantastic pre-warning it was one of the most spicy things I've ever had so you might want to ask to go light on the Habanero's. read more

Really love the atmosphere. They did a beautiful job with the art work and decor. Of course the views of the river are amazing. The service was very prompt and friendly. We showed up at an off peak time and were sat right away. It did get crowded, but our server was always attentive. The Baja fish tacos were spicy and delicious. Very flavorful. Portion size was just right. The blackened mahi tacos were also great. We had the churro Sunday for dessert, which was great to share and delicious. Will definitely come back! Rough time getting seated. Food was fine. I have had better cocktails. Enjoyed the view.

Looking for a date out or just a quick bite to eat? Go here after 5pm. The table service is better along with the food. I got the Shrimp Po Boy and the Boneless Wing...only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they don't have garlic parmesan. They accommodated me with shake cheese read more

Ordered the brisket burger and the brisket was all fat and unedible. Fries were cold and stiff. The steak quesidilla was soggy with over cooked steak. There was something missing flavor wise. Not impressed with this restaurant. read more

I had the shrimp stax bowl and all I can say is "wow"! It was deeelicious! We also loved sitting on the deck overlooking the Susquehanna. Our server was very nice too. This would have easily been a 5 star review but I have to dock a point because of the the dark, depressing violent lyrics of two songs we had to listen to were a bit of a mood damper. If they switch to more upbeat music this place is a home run! read more

Yikes! Skip this place unless you just want a place to drink. The food is likely among the worst I've had in some time. While the server, Tania, who was outstanding, could not overcome how disappointing the food was. Ordered the recommended mahi-mahi tacos, which were really overcooked and filled with so much corn that it was close to untenable. Unfortunately, the same was true for even the chips and salsa. The other person in my party ordered chicken tacos and they weren't much better. The sides were dried out and lukewarm. Overall, very disappointing experience after such high expectations. read more

The bar serves out 6 oz of red wine but they short you on white wine. Food was delivered cold to the table.

They could not give me a price list for drinks. Waitress had to be reminded of everything we didn't get silverware or plates or water without asking and waiting while our food got cold read more

Today I went to Tequila Willie's for lunch, along with two coworkers. TW has been open now for one week and I was curious to check it out. My coworkers ordered the Triple Decker Quesadilla and said it was good and both asked for to-go containers for their leftovers. I decided to try something different from my normal fare and ordered the Korean Steak Tacos with a side of Spanish rice and smoked black beans. The steak pieces were a little chewy, but I liked the marriage of the Korean slaw and mango salsa with a touch of sriracha aioli. Very tasty and I would consider getting this again. Afterwards, I was the only one who ordered dessert, Lemon Berry Marscarpone Cake. I ate a few delicious bites and took the rest home. Our server was very prompt and efficient and we loved the funky vibes of the new decor. I plan to return to check out their other menu offerings. read more

I unfortunately thought I took pictures and did not. I went with four others and everyone but one person liked their tacos. I did try the birra tacos and they were okay, the sauce was on the spicy side and the birra tacos weren't nice and crispy, they were very soft. I had the blackened Mahi taco with a side of fresh cut fries and my taco was pretty good. We all agreed for $16 the portion size was good and you get two very nice size tacos. Their ranch is also homemade and amazing!! The waitress was also very nice. I want to try their quesadilla and churro sundae next time. read more

great service but the street corn appetizer was cold (should have been hot) and we found plastic/paper wrap in our spanish rice - they said was onion skin but NOT. We will NOT return. read more

Nice, clean, and quiet restaurant (at the time I went). Quick service. Food menu was average. Drink menu was pretty impressive. I had a frozen smoked pineapple margarita... highly recommend if you don't mind a Smokey taste. I enjoyed my meal... the Stax Bowl- chicken. Not spicy but the sauce does have pack a punch! I look forward to returning for more drinks and the try other items in the food menu read more

We had dinner here tonight around 6:30, the restaurant wasn't slammed. The first red flag was when our waiter took 15 minutes to come take our drink order. We ordered an appetizer of nachos that came out with our dinner and also had 1 small scoop of toppings over an entire plate of chips. The mahi tacos I ordered were so dry and bland. The rice and beans had been sitting in a warming container - I am assuming because they were also dry and lumped together. The drinks are not worth the price. Our waiter checked on us 1 time which was not impressive. Not shocked that this restaurant is a flop - the other 2 are just as bad. read more

Great new restaurant. The meats are amazing. Our service was outstanding. Very cool atmosphere

One star is too generous. First and foremost, the server was not even knowledgeable of the menu and was granting our request for 'refried beans' instead of black beans when they weren't even on the menu. Then, the food arrives, and I could not tell if they were corn tortillas (flour allergy). We waited 12 minutes for the waitress to return at what point the food was cold. She came back and said they did not look like flour. As she picked them up, I told her there is a flour allergy and then gave me attitude that "already told me she was taking them back." They were remade and brought back out as if it was our fault they were made wrong in the first place. Dave, the manager, was a complete joke as well. Again, insinuating it was our fault. Poor poor service. Do not recommend. read more

The food was outstanding. I want the recipe for their salsa. The birria tacos were great.

Wife and I hit up this restaurant on Saturday afternoon. She has fish tacos and I had steak tacos.she said hers was good. Mine were ok. The rice and beans were not fresh and looked like they were sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours. All the food in our plates was Luke warm at best. The food tasted ok but needed to be a lot warmer. Our server had a great personality and made us feel welcomed.we will try tequila Willie's again. If it doesn't rate 4 stars or more we will not return. I have to say that the wait staff drops the bomb A LOT. we really did not appreciate listening to the wait staff complain about everything. One guy with a green shirt on really had a foul mouth and thought he was comedian. I'm sure he lives in mom's basement and plays video games in his spare time. read more

If you're expecting super authentic- this probably isn't it. But delish options and a bit of a variety and some familiar things from the dukes/dockside menus. Hubby and I came here right about the time they opened, and we did not have a positive experience. I had fajitas and the shells were so hard they actually broke when you folded them. I was told that they "haven't figured out how to warm and hold the tortillas yet." Well, then you shouldn't be serving them until you do. But, I want to be fair, so we went last night because our daughter wanted to go there for her birthday dinner. She had the half rack of ribs that she loved. Son had the chicken sandwich that he thought was "ok." Hubby and I had fajitas. He had shrimp, I had steak. The fajitas come with literally 3 pounds of onions and peppers, which, honestly, is completely unnecessary. I'd ask for a bigger portion of protein instead but he stated his were "just eh," while the steak fajitas were just about inedible. The meat was so well done, tough, and chewy that instead of getting a bite of beef, a whole chunk would come out of the fajita. It's literally a choking hazard. On the plus side, they did figure out how to warm and hold the tortillas. Service was excellent (thank you!!!!) and very much appreciated! read more

Went there on a Saturday night with a group of 10. They were more than accommodating getting the table set up and seating us. That's where it all ended. 4 of us received our drinks right away and the other 6 had to wait 45 minutes! Some of our group went to the bar to do a shot and was served right away. An hour after ordering the food came out. I think it would have been good if it wasn't lukewarm. An appetizer, 4 drinks and 2 entrees cost us $90. Food was reasonable prices but $15 for a regular margarita might be a little much. Overall not a good experience. read more

Service - average. I asked if they had anything that was cilantro free and was basically told to dine elsewhere. I love Mexican food and most restaurants do what they can to give me cil free food. Food. I just got a burger. it was fine. read more

Extremely disappointed. There was so much anticipation for this restaurant opening up in the area. Food came out cold, our waitress was constantly MIA, and not worth it at all for the price. This is not even close to Mexican food. There's no enchiladas or a lot of other Mexican staples. Pretty much just tacos or burrito bowls. Almost a copy paste of the other restaurants in the franchise, but wait, there's tequila and tacos. We won't be back if we are wanting Mexican food - we will go elsewhere. This is a flop. read more
