We saw a "no phone rule" on the door and liked the idea and everyone inside took it seriously which created tons of new friendships and interesting conversations with people of all ages and backgrounds. Apparently it is more touristy during the day, but at night it's all the locals. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly to me and my 3 American friends who walked in. We loved it so much we stayed until the very end. Jolene was the most friendly bartender I've ever had and everyone at the bar took turns choosing a song to play which enhanced the community feel. Best of all, Mr Clancy himself regaled us with tales of the history of Bruff and the pub, all of which were thoroughly delightful! As American tourists, we couldn't have asked for a better "taste of Ireland".
