I bought a leather couch and loveseat from Tepperman's a few years ago. The salesperson encouraged me to buy a leather protection guarantee in case anything should happen to the couch or loveseat. The guarantee stated that if a stain occurred and it could not be removed from the couch, the couch would be replaced. It sounded good at the time. A few years later I noticed a four inch stain on the middle back cushion of the couch. I called Tepperman's. They sent out their tech stain cleaner person to remove the stain. After half an hour of trying to remove the stain from the leather he gave up and told me to contact the store so that they could honour the protection guarantee. I called the customer service and entered a new world. For many years, each week I had received ads from Tepperman's telling me what a great and special customer I was. The customer service rep changed my mind about that in a few seconds. She told me that Tepperman's really wasn't guaranteeing my leather couch - it was some other company that had gone out of business a few years ago. So basically I was out of luck. I suggested to the customer service rep that if indeed that was the case why would Tepperman's send their tech cleaner person out to my house and why wouldn't they notify me that the guarantee was not valid and why wouldn't they return the money for this non existent guarantee. After all I was a special, preferred customer in good standing at Tepperman's. Evidently her role was not to answer my questions but to tell me what she thought. Basically that Tepperman's feels no responsibility to honour the guarantee. I suggested that Tepperman's mails out flyers every week to my house. Wouldn't it have made sense to let me know as a courtesy about the failure of the guarantee. (I was hoping my house and car insurance was being handled a lot better than this.) Her response was "If you don't ask, we don't feel obliged to tell." That was comforting. After a few more minutes of discussion she finally and very reluctantly offered to refund the money for the guarantee which really didn't seem to exist. I told her that I had a similar guarantee for the loveseat and would like a refund for that non existent guarantee also. She gave me lots of reasons why I could not get a refund for the loveseat also but none of her logic made the least bit of sense. The words honesty, integrity, and basically treating a customer like a customer came to mind,- you know like someone you would like to come back to your store in the future and buy more furniture and tell their friends to do the same. After wandering around in her world of "customer service" she finally and most reluctantly agreed to refund the money paid for the guarantee but not honour the guarantee. How convenient for Tepperman's. Every time I see that stain on my leather couch it reminds me not to buy another stick of furniture from people I cannot trust. Teppermans have terrible customer serice. We purchased a couch and were upsold on an extended warranty. We had an issue with the electrical parts on both sides. We opened a warranty ticket. When speaking to the warranty company, ******, they agreed it was covered, sent a technician to our home who said ****** would order parts. They sent an email a few days later confirming. A month later, they emailed us saying they decided it wasn't covered after all. We pushed back on this & they again changed their minds & said it was covered and parts would be ordered. That was April 2023. We still hadn't received any word from ****** in August so we contacted Teppermans who have sent a number of emails saying parts are on order. At this point (November 22, 2023), I contacted Teppermans asking to speak to a manager as this is far too long of a wait time. One of their "customer care reps" got in touch saying I'd have to follow up with ****** as it's out of their hands. I wanted to speak about this situation with Teppermans directly as they are the company that sold me the warranty product and do have some responsibility in ensuring that their customers are being treated fairly by their partners. I had to ask the customer care rep three times to have a manager contact me to which they become highly unprofessional and said the manager would just tell me the same thing & that "they've told me that three times". This is unacceptable. A manager did phone me, however, I was unavailable when they called. In their voice mail they stated that they had followed up with ****** & the parts were scheduled for delivery on December 14. Why did it take three times for me to request a manager to phone me? This is their job and it's unacceptable for the customer care rep to be so petty as to say that they provided information to me three times. That is not the point. I bought a fridge from teppermans with the extended warranty 2018 the fridge broke down had to go to the extended warranty it was the worst experience i every had .IT TOOK MANY MANY CALLS ,EMAILES EXPLAINING OVER&OVER&OVER AGAIN. that my fridge doesn't work at all. after months waiting they closed my claim they said don't know why had to redo again they sent a repair person they would look at it order parts waited weeks again to find out that part did nothing they came over 8 times every time order part didn't fix we took time off work this went on for almost 16 months yes months the final repair person said this fridge cant be repair i have called teppermans threw this ordeal they said cant do anything then now after 17 months gave me a fridge but i have to buy again the warranty not a chance if this fridge dies i will not put myself threw that again and tepperman charge me 79.00 del charge you think after all i went threw they would of did something for me but no. customer service seems to lack this company its all about the money NO LOSE TO YOU YOU ARE GETTING MONEY FOR THE FRIDGE plus del charge from me dlukow read more

Terrible customer service. Sold me a 5 year warranty on a brand new sectional I bought not even 2 years ago and the thing started falling apart at the seams after the first year. I thought I could live with it, but it got worse and so I called to have my sectional warrantied with the extended 5 year warranty I purchased. The woman on the line made me feel like I was stupid. She explained to me that the warranties purchased on couches are for upholstery ONLY, and so therefore the only thing they could fix under the warranty was a ripped cushion. Unfortunately the wood is splitting all around this thing and it's sharp and dangerous. I'm very disgusted that I paid for a warranty under false pretences and I plan to launch a Better Business Bureau complaint against this company. I will also never buy any kind of furniture from this place again as they are straight-up liars and crooks. YOU SHOULDN'T BE SELLING WARRANTIES YOU CANNOT HONOUR! Review: Tepperman's Windsor Most of the staff at Tepperman's Windsor are helpful, but unfortunately, a few are quite rude and unprofessional. I had a particularly disappointing experience with an employee named Sam. When I asked him a question and requested assistance with a device I was struggling to use, he abruptly responded, "My time is very valuable, and I've noticed you've been here for half an hour. Are you planning to make a purchase today?" I was shocked by his response, and upon researching online, I discovered that many other customers have had similar negative experiences with him. Several months after my purchase, I checked the bill and noticed they have charged me for an optional coverage. They had highlighting the signature area and implying it is mandatory for me to sign to finance my purchase. I contacted their store couple of times and asked for reversing the process and cancel charging my account due to their unprofessional and misconduct act but they refused. Finally, I was successful to cancel this option but ended up with 500$ extra charge and they refused to void charges. read more

March 13 2014, After many calls I gave up and purchased a matress elseware. They delivered for free. Paid a friend $20. to take the old one to the transfer station and throw it away since it was garbage. Family to Family I think not. read more
