Today I checked out post. The location offered ample spaces for parking across the street as well as next to the facility. I really enjoyed looking at all the Detroit themed merchandise from various artists. Their café menu is not super expansive and they don't have any vegan pastries on the menu. They did offer some milk alternatives for those looking for milk alternatives. I do wish there was some vegan pastries on the menu. However, I did enjoy the space for its abundance of Room to study. If you are a dog lover, this place will definitely fascinate you as there were three pups roaming around during my time there.

Just a small taste of the selection at Post!

This store is so incredibly magical and such a hidden gem. It's located right on the border of Detroit and Grosse Point Park and is just a home goods mecca that everyone needs to check out! Everything here is BEAUTIFUL and so thoughtfully curated, with so much of their inventory being things I have genuinely never seen anywhere else before, but now must have it all inside my own home! Post is bright, colorful, and just boasts adding so much personality into your own home and the homes of others! They have a whole selection of reclaimed picture frames that are painted in the most gorgeous ways and can also be made custom. Things are pricey here, so it was definitely an internal battle for me of all the things I wanted to buy, while also keeping in mind my bank account and holding myself back from shelling out all my life savings! The people who work here are so friendly as well and the day we came here, they were doing a felt wreath making workshop in the back half of their store. The front half is the storefront with all the goods laid out, and the back half behind the checkout counter looks to be a series of tables and a workplace. The entire space is open, as this building used to be a post office (hence the name Post!), so imagine that wide, open kind of space you see every time you go into one of those bigger post office hubs. Post also has a bus that pops up at different places throughout Detroit and metro Detroit, so anytime you see the Post bus at a fair or event near you, definitely make sure to stop by and check it out too! They'll carry a smaller selection of their goods, but it'll sure be a great way to get a sense of all that they have and will probably easily convince you to make the trip out to their actual storefront afterwards! This is definitely going to be a go-to place for me whenever I'm planning to gift things to my loved ones, especially when it comes to more unique gifts for housewarming, birthdays, holidays, and any and all celebrations! Love Post!

We went for an exchange program field trip, entrepreneur requirement for the program. The POST was not in a great area but we went during the daylight hours. It is an old US Post Office that has been re-purposed. There isn't one business inside but rather four other businesses working to create wonderful products. Mutual Adoration: The one thing I liked was the furniture they have created from recycled wood products from Detroit and the surrounding areas. I have been looking for a kitchen table and I do believe I found the one I like. You know that paint you have sitting in your garage from when you painted the bedroom and are not sure what to do with. I, mean you can throw it in the garbage, no need to do that Mutual Adoration will except the paint and reuse it.

Terrarium. Cool interior.

This is a great small store with all handmade pieces of artwork / pottery / jewelry / housewares / woodwork and even toys. Everything was beautiful and so well made. The space is very interesting because it's an old post office - thus the name. The store doubles as studio space for the artists and you can see them working on their craft while shopping. The person running the space the day I stopped in could not have been friendlier and was helpful no matter what question I asked or what item I asked to look at. The quality of everything was outstanding and the prices while a little high reflect the fact that these are hand made items, some made with reclaimed or repurposed materials, with lot's of TLC and hard work put into them. Go buy something and support a local artist! I did!

A great addition to Detroit! This little shop has all kinds of cute trinkets, jewelry and home essentials that locally crafted at an extremely fair price. They also have beautiful woodwork pieces that are made by artists in the studio. I recently stumbled upon this place after being invited by a friend to a Screen Printing Class. The teacher Clare(?) and Melissa were fantastic and hospitable. There was also a very friendly gentleman who cheered all of the designs on. I hope they host many more classes like this because I'll be looking forward to them in the meantime. I mean, we all walked out with 12 cards, new friends and full bellies of champagne, cheese and crackers for only $35!

One of the most magical spots in Detroit to find community, take classes, and shop local artists and makers!

I really love this place but I had to dock stars for the customer service. I laughed and simply acknowledged what she said. She then commented that while I was in the store she would enlist my help to move the table. No asking, just assuming I would help move this table for her. Mind you the table was ON TOP of another table. When I responded that I may not be in there long enough to assist she got very clearly irritated and had some rude remarks about me not wanting to move the table. Ultimately I left with empty hands because I no longer felt comfortable shopping there considering I had no intention of moving the table. I have never been requested, as a paying (or potentially paying) customer, to do "work" for someone employed there. And if I was, I would expect an understanding if I didn't feel comfortable doing it. It may be in the owners interest to speak with this employee about what is and is not good customer service because what I experienced today would NOT fit the bill of it. I now know that if I see a little dog in the door, not to go in because the person working there may not allow me to simply enjoy shopping.

I am an understanding person (or stupid) so when Jason gave me a good deal and finally put my Christmas lights up until Dec 15, I believed all his lies. He even said he would do my lights for free in 2024. In 2024 I received an email for only 1000.00 and he said he was putting up new lights so I paid the 500.00 deposit, my husband did ask what happened to free, again understanding or stupid. Later in the year Lisa sent me a text saying 15% off my balance if I paid now and the lights will be up by Thanksgiving. So I paid. Jason came to my house the end of October and turned off my sprinkler system for free because "I'm such an understanding customer". He said he would see me in a few weeks with the lights. After SEVERAL texts and phone calls and promises from Lisa He never showed up and now all numbers are disconnected. I wish I would have read reviews before I went with this company! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
