Worst business and salesman to deal with. Went to Tepperman's to buy kitchen appliances. Walked in and our sales person Dennis asked us what we needed. I explained to him that I wanted black appliances and he begins to tell me that they are out of style. Can you imagine the look on my face when he said that! I was not even able to get out black stainless and he tells me out of style. Fast forward, I do all the leg work and and find what we want. He orders it and says four to six weeks at best. Never heard from him again. Called him and said a phone call with a follow up would have been nice. Said he would, still no follow up. I had to call myself and find out when will we receive the rest of our order. Another 4 weeks. So in total 10 weeks and counting.......nothing. Now I have to wait till middle of July. Worst furniture I've ever purchased! Spent over 20,000 in the past few years to Find out everything I bought is junk. kitchen set is pealing , chairs foam is completly compressed, sectional couch is saging so bad it literally dislocates the users back. Tepperman's really does care about their customers, they provide water and popcorn which is amazing being a bigger individual. Lots of payment options which is always fantastic, great selection. Yesterday we visited the Sarnia store. We have dealt with Tepperman's for many years now and have purchased a wide range of appliances as well as furniture. Salesperson was Reg McGory excellent ... we had been shopping around at all Sarnia furniture stores and returned to this store cause it was the best mattress and price .. Worst customer service. My mom bought a sofa bed sofa from them but the cushions will not stay in place, they slide out constantly and must be pushed back into the sofa on a daily basis, annoying. So I called the store for some help, not to be bitchy, not for money, just asking for help. Yeah no, don't expect anything from their so called "customer service" department because the woman had no desire to help. Just to go to Lowe's & get Velcro. Ok, what kind? How to put it on? Order quite a large arrange of items (sofas to appliances to beds) almost all of the items where delivered and installed in great shape, the few items were replaced with no issues or concerns - very great experience with the Sarnia retail only issue was with the London (group that arranged delivery) the items were supposed to be delivered on two dates; however, they changed the delivery date without notifying me or the sarnia location. I purchased an Ashley chairside table on-sale from sales person Char Atkins and was told I had 30 days to return the table if I didn't like how it fit my decor. I did not have the opportunity to assemble the table immediately as I was traveling the following day. Upon assembling the table some 14 days later I discovered a manufacturer's defect in the trim of the drawer front. I called Tepperman's and was informed damage must be reported within 24 hours and they would not accept the return after 7 days. I was transferred to customer service in Windsor and was treated rudely by the agent who refused to give me her name. Customers should be aware of the deceptive sales practices at this store and their poor customer service. read more

We purchased a sectional sofa from Tuppermans in Sarnia about 3 years ago. At the time I purchased the sofa, I also got an extended warranty. We have had nothing but issues with this sofa, the staff and the extended warranty for the last 1-2 years I would say. It first started out when we noticed the spring holding up the middle part of the sofa was broken. Completely detached. It was even scraping and damaging our floors. I called Tuppermans as soon as we noticed the issue. I was told that it was probably not covered under warranty, but they would send someone out to take a look at it and see what could be done. This was after about 3 phone calls with me asking why did we purchase an extended warranty if nothing is covered. The tech came out and thankfully he said that it was covered under warranty and he would be able to fix the springs. And he did a couple weeks later. Now fast forward to a couple weeks ago and we had noticed that one of the cushions had a very large rip in it under the seat cover itself. Called Tuppermans again and was told that fabric issue like that were not covered even though our extended warranty was for the fabric of the sofa. The woman who I spoke with basically told me that I could "accidentally" stab the couch with a knife or keys that had been left in my pocket when I sat down and that would be covered, but the issue we are having with the seams coming apart was not. Again, they said they would send someone out to take a look at it. Same tech came out and said that the issue was from the defective springs again becoming detached and that it would be under warranty since it was a pre-existing issue. A few days later I get a call back from the store who tells me that no, it is not covered and it would be between 300-400 dollars for the couch to be fixed. What is the point in an extended warranty? What is the point in a tech coming out and telling us that in his opinion this is covered because it is a pre-existing condition that he has already repaired once before? Your values say "When a person walks away feeling that they have been treated fairly and given the respect that is due they feel good" Well I most defiantly DO NOT feel good!! read more

I bought all my furniture from this store, the staff was very helpful in store, HOWEVER every piece of furniture other than my table and chairs fell apart. I purchased bunkbeds,3 dressers,couch set (they broke the first set in 2 during delivery) a master bedroom suite,3 mattresses and box springs and a fridge. My fridge stop working after 6 months and they would not even warranty it, all the bed frames fell apart and my son went to get clothes from his dresser and the drawer busted right out on top of him. Then after all was said and done I paid and paid and found out they renewed 2 contacts at full price without asking me to do the payout option of the remainder going from 1700 to a huge bill of 3800. And after requesting and the beginning of it all to remove and life or property insurance they accused me of no such!I dont suggest you buy anything from here the quality is not good and the confusion customer service is horrible. read more

My wife and I purchased brand new HE Whirlpool washer and dryer and they haven't worked right since they were a month and half old. They have had them repaired and are planning to resell the lemons in there own terms in their bargain annex. The dryer motor failed, the wiring harness was all cut up and the heating element had welded itself to the case. The repair people almost caught my house on fire by taking apart my breaker panel and incorrectly putting it back together and they didn't need to take apart and also weren't authorized to take it apart. I have dealt with them for ten years now and they are hanging me out to dry. Well at least that will dry my clothes. The salesman quoted me a price and I agreed to it for a new pair by Samsung and then I had to go back another day to sign for it after they told it was all taken care of and then they jacked the price up by another 25 percent above quoted. Salesman said it was his fault and then I was told to bad we aren't going to honour the quoted price by the salesman. read more
