I explained to him that I wanted black appliances and he begins to tell me that they are out of style. Can you imagine the look on my face when he said that! I was not even able to get out black stainless and he tells me out of style. Fast forward, I do all the leg work and and find what we want. He orders it and says four to six weeks at best. Never heard from him again. Called him and said a phone call with a follow up would have been nice. Said he would, still no follow up. I had to call myself and find out when will we receive the rest of our order. Another 4 weeks. So in total 10 weeks and counting.......nothing. Now I have to wait till middle of July. He's not the repairman. Alex came for the repair. He was right on time. That was the good part of the experience. He did not want to hear my observation of the dishwasher problem. He did not run the dishwasher. He disconnected the discharge hose, cleared a bit of crud from it (yes, there was some, but it was not blocked), reconnected, ran the discharge cycle to ensure it was emptying and not leaking from the reconnection, and left. Would not even consider my request to check for other problem. Told me "all appliances have standing water in them. Even your washing machine." "Not three inches," I said. "I know what I'm doing. This is the twelfth one of these I've done today," he said. And left. Well, he did NOT fix the drainage problem. At all. Luckily I got a recommendation of N.Z. Systems Appliance Service. Booked a service call with a very nice woman on the phone. Bernie came on time (early, actually). Ran the dishwasher first to hear what it was doing. Checked the discharge hose, then checked spigot side of hose connection and pulled out two, folded over, 1/2" rubber feet (no, I don't know what the previous homeowners were washing). Ran the cycle three times to check it -- sounded completely different, of course. Bernie was totally efficient but also nice about telling me when he was doing and why. And he fixed the dishwasher completely. Ive run it twice since he came and it drains completely. No, three-plus inches of water leftover for weeks is not normal. Good news? I have a trustworthy service company to call now.

Jeremy, the sales person, was incredibly friendly and helpful as we browsed their store. We were able to find a stove and got it installed a few weeks later. They even hauled the old one away! It had a minor issue, and they were able to come back and service it with no problems!

I asked for a morning delivery and on the morning of the delivery I received a call from them at 7:30am to see if they could start heading to my cottage which was great. The pair of delivery guys (unfortunately didn't get their names) showed up just before 8am removed the old hood and range and installed the new ones in less than an hour. Completely professional and I couldn't be happier. I don't need a new refrigerator right now but I know where I am going to buy it. 100% satisfied.

Again... they cancelled out of the blue. Finally we found Groves Tv and Appliances in Clinton. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They not only assured us they would have it to us in a few days, but in seeing the delivery truck arrive today, I was amazed. One person in the delivery truck and up behind pulled a work van with the second person. They obviously care about their staff! They then unboxed the freezer for us and put in inside the door, which is a blessing for the elderly. Finally, the freezer was sprayed so we would not be exposed to anything coming in here. Again, totally amazing. I will in future take all of my business to Groves. Such care and consideration for not only their staff, but also the customer is something not often seen. Extremely Disappointed -- Poor Damage Handling & Inadequate Compensation…read more I spent over $27,000 on appliances from Big George's--refrigerator, oven, stove, and speed oven. What should have been a straightforward delivery turned into a frustrating, year-long ordeal that ended in small claims court. During delivery in March 2024, their team dropped a nearly 500-pound refrigerator off our porch while it was still on a dolly, damaging the concrete at our entryway. The entire incident was recorded on our doorbell camera. Despite admitting fault, Big George's initially offered only $200 or a patch repair--solutions that multiple independent contractors deemed unacceptable due to weather exposure, color mismatch, and long-term durability. Four contractors--including Midwest Construction, Dexter Concrete, Santoro Tile and Masonry, and Michigan Rose Construction--recommended full replacement of the damaged section, with bids ranging from $3,500 to $5,350. One wrote: "Patching is a temporary fix in this climate and will not blend with the existing concrete. Full replacement is necessary for structural and aesthetic reasons." Even Big George's own operations manager acknowledged liability. Still, the company refused to restore the damage properly. It wasn't until a small claims judgment--over a year later--that I received a mere $235.86. For a company that claims to be customer-focused and reputable, this experience was anything but caring. Their handling of the situation was dismissive, slow, and grossly inadequate--especially considering the scale of my purchase and their clear responsibility. If you're considering Big George's, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may be left to deal with the consequences on your own.
