It has a gravel walking path and there is a canal on one side. Unfortunately there was not much shade for walking. I needed an umbrella to block the sun. But the path stated that it's a quarter mile, which I liked for informational purposes and It was in the open, so I felt safe. I didn't see any restroom facilities. So all in all, a nice little park, that's quiet, with a nice gravel road for walking. I would come here again, just not in the middle of the summer!

To get to the park you need to pull into the parking lot for the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church next door. Go all the way down and you will see the entrance to the park on the left hand side. At first the park didn't look like much. It has a gravel exercise pathway, open space, outdoor exercise equipment, a picnic table and a bench. The park lies along a creek that feeds into the North Fork Middle River. After walking around a bit I really began to like the park. The park is filled with iguanas. They are everywhere in the trees and on the ground. If you have an aversion to iguanas you might want to stay way. I saw a mama duck and her ducklings sailing down the creek. A tree near the water was swarming with the sweetest Atala butterflies. As I was leaving the park I saw someone filming an exercise video. There is beauty and nature all around. Sometimes it is nice to stop for a moment and take it in.

This review is based solely off the new playground called Princess Meadow's playground…read more Opened on Jan 4th 2020, this playground was redone in honor of Meadow Jade Pollock, an 18 year old slain during the MSD shooting. Her parents dedicated this playground to her so she can be remembered for the positivee/radiant way she lived as opposed to a gravesite with flowers. The playground is a blast for kids of All ages. It has multiple slides, swings, musical instruments and ways for kids to explore their senses.. it has become my favorite park in Coral Springs. It has plenty of shade, seating and best of all, it is completely enclosed with only two exit/entrances. I highly recommend this playground for those with kiddies. Such a beautiful and honorable way to remember this young soul, her name will forever live on with the laughter and joy this park brings!

It's a basic play area with picnic tables but what makes the it unique is the fact that the playground is at the base of a large hill. There are three hills to be exact that are 40 to 50 feet high. That might not seem like such a big deal to anyone who has lived up north but it is a pretty unusual sight to Floridians who are used to the terrain being as flat as a pancake. It is believed the hills were created when when the C-14 canal which runs along the park's southern edge was dredged and the land was deposited here. That is how the nearby Three Friends Park that also has a hill was created. Apparently the view is supposed to be pretty nice from the top of the hills but I never found out because withing five minutes of being in this public park the police were called on me by residents living in the community across the street. It seems they feel that people are not allowed to use a public park. I explained what I was doing there and the officer left quickly but It left a bad taste in my mouth and I just decided to leave. If you would like to enjoy a hill park in Coral Springs I would recommend Three Friends. Although it does not have a playground the walk to the top of the hill is paved and the park is lovely. Even better the nearby residents don't call the police on you for attempting to use a public park.

There is a small parking lot but it looks like most of the people walk in from the surrounding neighborhood. At the entrance to the park is the Gaylan "Sam" Bode Memorial playground. There is a slide, swings, and a few other play structures. The real reason to come to Lakeview Park is for the paved exercise path that runs the perimeter of the park. I saw a few people walking, jogging, and roller blading. This is a really safe place to take kids biking. Along the back of the park is a lake where there was an anhinga drying its wings and ducks. This was the perfect place to watch the sun set. In the middle of the park is a large open play area. Cypress Park is a much larger park only a half mile away. It has basket ball courts, ball fields, and exercise stations. This park may not have all of the amenities of the larger parks but it is peaceful and quiet. When you don't want to deal with the crowds and noise, this is the perfect place to exercise. Sunny and I enjoyed our early evening walk.

From the street entrance, I did not get a feel for how large and ample this park was....it's a good size green space. An elevated walkway takes you through the wetland areas of the Middle River and leads to the back of the park. There are restrooms, a dog play area, asphalt walking trail, outdoor fitness zone and a pavilion with picnic tables. ​​The renovated Dog Park at Colohatchee requires a dog park permit and key fob for entry. The outdoor gym is great. You can just get on the equipment and exercise to your heart's content....really nice, and being under the pavilion, it makes it easy and cool for those who don't want to workout under the sun. From the website, looks like the park hours are from 8:00a.m. to Dusk, Thursday - Monday. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The tiny park is located just south of the United States Post Office on Hiatus Rd. The vision for the park was to sustain a Wildflower Meadow which serves as a bee and butterfly pollinator habitat. Absolutely no legal parking for vehicles causes me to scratch my head, with direct access only from the Hiatus Road Greenway by bike lanes or walking paths. Dogs are welcome and waste disposal stations are offered. My EXPERIENCE today with my puppy in the park was OK. The pressed black rubber path was cool for my puppy's paws during his walk. Great park to relax while peering at the tropical landscape or take a brisk short walk but not really a place to burn alot of calories.

Hard to get to but worth to visit once if you enjoy nature.

This is where pioneers who came to the area first settled before the railroad came. The park is also known as Huber Park. There are just a few parking spaces. The park is very small at only .2 acres. The City of Pompano Beach lists it as a small urban space. The only park amenities are lights and 2 benches. Unlike a lot of these small waterfront parks in Pompano you can't fish here. There isn't very much here at all but a lovely view and maybe a place for people in the neighborhood to walk their dogs.

Great spot to also go for a hike/walk, bike the dirt roads, and enjoy nature with occasional croc sitings and evens Everglades deers. Enjoy a boat passing by or even an airboat. Nice outdoor trail that you must experience and hike at least once. Easily assessable, peaceful, picturesque views, amazing sunsets, and an abundance of nature all sure won't disappoint.
