I found Tendenza while walking around NYC over 15 years ago, and it immediately felt special. From the moment you walk in, the energy is warm, welcoming, and magical. Z and her team treat every customer with genuine kindness and care, taking the time to help you find the perfect piece, never rushed, always personal. I only purchase from Tendenza because the quality is unmatched; the pieces I bought over a decade ago are still flawless, and I wear them every day. The craftsmanship here is incredible and every visit feels like a treat, and trust me, you will come back for more. read more

Okay now I'm actually pissed off. Please view the photo below to see that a diamond fell out of this ring. The ring cost $750 (!!!) and is worth virtually nothing, and all of the diamonds couldn't even stay in the thing. If you want to waste your money on jewelry that is overpriced and will fall apart, please go to Tendenza. Enjoy. read more

After becoming acquainted with Tendenza via Instagram, I decided to reach out to discuss a few custom pieces I wanted to create. Having lost both of my parents in recent years, I wanted pieces that would honor their memory and which could become heirlooms for my own children, one day. Zee was exactly whom I had hoped to find, to help me preserve precious pieces and memories. We had several phone calls and text conversations to brainstorm and what began as a jeweler - client relationship, became a genuine friendship. Zee took my ideas and turned them into precious pieces that have not only lasted through never-take-them-off, daily wear, but which have resulted in my having referred dozens of people to her shop on Spring Street. Likewise, when I had her reset a stone from a ring into a gorgeous pendant, I decided to fly to NYC from Kansas City to finally meet her, in person. Her wit, creativity and integrity were all I had expected, and more. From starting the creative process to finished product, working with Zee at Tendenza has been a personalized, easy, enjoyable experience, every single time. After years of working with and knowing her, I would not hesitate to recommend this gem to anyone wanting to create a special piece that will be a treasure for generations. read more

Extremely Rude!!! I live in Soho and I like to help local stores if I can, but definitely not this one!!!!!! I bought few pieces at Tendenza and the onwer told me she would repair if anything goes wrong. So I did, after one diamond fell off I return and asked for a repair. She treated me really bad, like it was my fault that the diamond fell... "you probably used to much.. she said. Well, yesss I bought and I used it. She charged $60 to repair and when I went to pick it up one of the diamond was out of place. When I told her she gave the worst attitude, was super rude and said if I'm not happy I don't need to come back. Her husband told me to not bring the piece back, to find somewhere else ... Oh yay... believe me, I will never go back there. Honestly I was never treated like this. Extremely rude!!!!! read more

Tendenza is known for their donut ring and engraving but they also have a great selection of daintier rings. Have had this one for about 6 months now and absolutely love it! The color in the emeralds is super bright and it hasn't shown any sign of wear. read more

I don't write reviews often but have to disagree w. The earlierReviewer. Z is amazing. I bought a few pieces over the years and one of my leather wrap bracelets broke a few times and she always fixes for me. She welcomes me like old family and I feel like she always goes the extra mile. Her pieces are unique and I highly recommend. read more

Go here! After visiting 7 or 8 other jewelers with no success, my partner and I instantly fell in love with two of Z's wedding bands. My ring is unlike the typical bands everyone seems to have these days, yet has a traditional feel that highlights each beautiful diamond. While the jewelry is unique and timeless, Z's manner makes the experience truly enjoyable. She seems to pick up on your taste, and suggests pieces that match your sense of style. An additional important note - the prices and turn around time were incredibly reasonable. In fact we were being told by other jewelers that we'd have to wait anywhere from 4-8 weeks for our rings, whereas Z had ours ready in 2 weeks. I also texted with her during that time to clarify some details. read more

I had the most incredible experience in getting 3 donut rings made from long distance. Zi is an amazing person. She has incredible knowledge and is very passionate about about making jewelry. Her designs are reasonably priced so everyone can participate. I was nervous at first to send my diamonds via fed ex but Zi made me very comfortable. What a wonderful experience, I love my donut rings! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I would give it Zero stars if I could... but that's not an option.... Honestly, I am surprised by the other yelp reviews on this one... I bought a ring for my girlfriend... what i thought was a cool trendy ring with little diamonds and sapphires in it. In less than one week, a diamond fell out and I was completely embarrassed. I went with her back to the store and asked to return the ring and process a refund. One of the owners (Zi) refused to refund the ring. She said that there is a 'no returns no exchanges' policy. Strange that was never communicated nor posted anywhere in the store... The owner proceeded to be extremely rude and said, "who cares, it's one little diamond that fell out... they fall out all the time." She proceeded to show us her ring w/ a diamond that had fallen out and said that it is normal for diamonds to fall out. (Really?? after one week?) She insisted that we exchange the ring for another and refused to process a refund and told me that she was really doing us a favor by going against their 'return policy'. She said that all of her receipts are pre printed with their no returns policy and I should have seen it when I signed the receipt. It wasn't worth losing more time of my life arguing with this woman so I accepted to exchange the ring... knowing I would proceed to write a yelp review.... I did exchange the ring for 2 less expensive, sturdier rings and I had to pay $50 extra. THEN... after I was FINISHED paying with my credit card and signed the receipt, she stamped the reciept w/ her "no refunds" stamp and didn't even say anything. She did this AFTER she received the money and after I signed. A customer needs to have notice. This is NOT legal... I was totally disgusted, and when I called her out on itshe lied and said that these were not her normal receipts... blah blah blah...I am aghast with her deceitful behavior. This is no way to do business. I tell everyone to never enter this store. I found an amazing jeweler in the diamond district, and he was shocked to hear about the customer service at Tendenza. My experience with this other store was wonderful... Feel free contact me if you are even CONSIDERING shopping at Tendenza. read more

SERIOUSLY. Do not shop here. I received terrible customer service when I met with the owner regarding a diamond that fell out of my ring (in less than one week of purchase). I went in with my boyfriend - who had bought the ring for me - and spoke with Zi. She said to my face, "it's not a big deal, diamonds fall out all the time." Her ring had a missing diamond and she said, "see... with these small diamonds, it happens". She then told Andres and I that we could not refund the ring; instead, we HAD to use the money towards something else in the store. She stamps the NO-RETURN policy on the receipt AFTER purchase - so beware. I saw this with my own eyes, when we finally decided to just get another ring that was about $700 and after Andres gave her an extra $50 and paid (signed and everything), Zi then stamped the no-refund stamp. There was no notice - this is evident of shady business practices. I'm shocked that Yelp allows second-hand reviews of people (read below) who have not actually shopped at Tendenza. I believe that is against their policy. The few reviews are most likely friends of the owners. read more

My sister and I walked by this little gem in Nolita a few years ago and discovered it by chance! I got her a gold necklace pendant with an engraved A for her birthday. It was a bit more pricey than I had anticipated to spend, but it's well-worth it! She still has this til this day and gets compliments all the time. It's not like the cheap stuff that's gold dipped or gold plated. Every design is so delicate with just enough subtle yet intentional detail. They only work with quality so you don't have to second guess what you are buying. They custom design too! Today I walked in with my fiancee who just designed a beautiful gold necklace with our engraved initials along with our wedding date. We received such personal service and the owner knew exactly what my style was. It's my favorite jewelry store in NYC! read more

I first stumbled upon Tendenza when walking around with visiting friends and I have made many trips back to the store since. The owners, Zichrini and Oren make you feel so welcome, as does the fact that everything in the store is one of a kind and customizable. The very first time we stepped inside, I fell in love with the leather wrap bracelets. They have many in the shop, but they also will do custom engraving on any of the available colors of gold (rose, green oxidized, yellow, white...) and are happy to mix and match the leather strap with your favorite plate shape. I bought one immediately and still wear it, refusing to get the leather replaced (for free) quite yet. My friend K was immediately drawn to the engrave-able pendants and quickly created a necklace as we all stood around playing with different combinations of colors, chains, and charms. I have since been back to pick up a few rings and the last time I was there over the summer, I decided that I absolutely can't live without the shark tooth pendant that they had just created. Z and Oren are amazing and their care and devotion to creating beautiful and unique jewelry is evident in every piece. Make sure to start a conversation with them if you go. read more

A wonderful, petit jewlery store in SoHo filled with dainty jewelery for the classic, sophisticated woman who is interested in quality materials and a little something sparkly. Personally I love their small diamond pendants and the rings with the small rows of diamonds. You might even spot a celeb here.... the owner hinted at it last time I was in the store :) read more

I recently got engaged (YAY!), and my fiancé worked with the lovely people at Tendenza to create my custom ring. Z and Owen did an amazing job making me a beautiful, unique piece that I have not stopped getting compliments on. I couldn't have created a more perfect-for-me ring. My fiancé wanted me to be somewhat involved in the process towards the end. Z and Owen listened to every word we said and understood exactly what we envisioned. They also worked super fast and the ring was on my hand before I knew it. They're both beyond friendly, empathetic and extremely talented which made this exciting time in our lives that much more meaningful. Tendenza is a wonderful place that I would recommend to all of my family and friends. I will definitely be going back there for any other jewelry needs that may arise :) read more

Z created our custom wedding bands this past summer and we love them. She has the amazing ability to take what you have in your mind's eye and make it real. The experience of working with her was an absolute pleasure. I found her prices to be very reasonable for the amount of creativity and design put into each piece. I liked working with her so much that I bought all of my bridesmaids necklaces from her, which they all loved. Every single one was unique. I love every one of her pieces and look forward to the next time I step into her incredible shop. read more

Wonderful place with amazing jewelry! Best part of the store is the owners, Z and Orin. Wonderful people all around! Helpful, fun and warm. Every time I go back, I buy more...great place for gifts. I can see myself going back for gifts for loved ones and building my jewelry collection! The aesthetic of all the jewelry is classy, tasteful and beautifully crafted. Quality!!! Every encounter w Z is positive and we spend time chatting and laughing. To shop with Zi and Oren at Tendenza is like spending time with beloved family members or a very best friend. The store overflows with good vibes and truly beautiful things. I discovered Tendenza 4 years ago when strolling through Nolita with a friend. We bought the most beautiful jewelry then and I continue to shop loyally with Tendenza now. From the beautiful, delicate necklaces and pendants to the sparkly pave diamond pieces, everything in Tendenza is of the best quality and crafted with LOVE! Tendenza is also excellent for custom work - Zi and Oren will work with you to create anything you dream up and the prices are the best in town for truly A+ quality. Every piece I wear from Tendenza brings loads of compliments. This is one of NYC's best boutiques, owned by the kindest people and is not to be missed! read more

A few disclaimers... I have not actually purchased anything from this store (my girlfriend has). I do not actually wear much in the arena of jewelry, nor do I frequent jewelry stores. Initially, it may not make very much sense why I've decided to post a review of this store, but I do so with good intentions for those out there who, like myself, may not be so adept at shopping for jewelry, especially for a significant other. After a walk through SOHO on one of the first nice Spring days of the year, we came upon this store front which caught the lady's eye, let's call her Eve. So there I was, confronted with the choice to be left to my own devices on the sidewalk while Eve was shopping or to accompany her in. I chose well in the latter. We were greeted by Oren, one of the owners. Charming guy who clearly does what he does because he has an appreciation for his craft, not a spec of pretentiousness one might expect in this district. There were no gimmicks or sales pitching, rather, we had a nice back and forth so he could get an idea of what Eve was interested in. He based his recommendations on some really stylish bracelets Eve was inquiring about and didn't make any attempt to push anything else. He took her comments into consideration and ultimately paired her with a few different options that all really meshed with the look she was going for along with staying in her price range. And although my eye for jewelry may be no better than my ability to determine when a woman has cut her hair, I thought the stuff they had was really simple and elegant. For the bracelets that Eve ended up purchasing, Oren mentioned that whenever the leather started to deteriorate, she could come back and get them replaced for free. No determined time frame, just whenever. Maybe a small gesture, but they're building long term customer relationships... what a concept. You'll be in good hands if you decide to make your way to Tendenza. read more

I first stumbled upon Tendenza in the original spring street location many years ago and bought a beautiful pendant necklace inscribed Infinite Possibilities. A year or so later, I went back with my mother who purchased the same necklace. The owner, Z, is a fantastic woman who I've enjoyed speaking with since my first visit. She is passionate about her work and knows her customers. Because of this, when I was ready to purchase my first pair of diamond earrings last year, I visited the store and came away with diamonds that are beautiful and fit my style perfectly. I came across this lovely shop unexpectedly during my last visit to NYC and what a great find. I purchased two rings that needed to be altered to my size. Without a doubt my favorite store in NYC. Zi and Oren are amazing to work with-- I have many necklaces from them, as well as my engagement ring and wedding bands. I've also given many of their necklaces as gifts, as they are so beautiful and delicate, they work well for most women. I was in twice this week for gifts, and the fabulous Debra Messing was also in shopping both times-- she loves that place! I found this store while walking to grab a bite to eat. Small enough to miss it, Tendenza has a small street-facing display, with only a few of their many custom made necklaces and rings showing. That was all it took to get me to drop in. As someone who has difficulty shopping for jewelry for loved ones, I expected the owners of Tendenza to be very pushy like the attendants in other stores in Manhattan. To my delight and surprise, this was not the case. As I browsed choice of jewelry, I settled on a case of necklaces. Having only a vague idea of what I was looking for, Oren asked some style and taste questions and was able to narrow down exactly what I had in mind but hadn't been able to describe. Zi gave a woman's opinion, and I was very pleased with my choice. Overall a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back here in the future. read more

My girlfriend, who admittedly is more fashion savvy than I am, frequents this jewelry store nestled away in Nolita often. One of their branded turquoise bags makes an appearance in our place almost weekly. Now, I know my girlfriend well, but finding a gift for our anniversary seemed like an extremely daunting task as she has very refined tastes. I had always been curious about the mythical Tendenza until I took a stroll down Spring St. The store itself is warm and trendy. Everything about it seems to be meticulously designed. The owners Z and Oren are personable and truly one of a kind. They greeted me and we chatted for awhile. When I told them about my girlfriend, Z immediately knew who she was and what she likes. They made a number of suggestions and i ended up taking home a necklace. I ended up also putting in an order for a leather bracelet in gold with a hand engraving for myself which is not a usual thing for me but I had not seen anything like it before. The owners have a clear devotion to only the highest quality materials and their artistic integrity shines through their designs. They were extremely courteous and willing to make any customizations I wanted. Considering the craftsmanship, the price is more than reasonable. In a place like Manhattan, having something unique is a rarity. What will bring me back here? The service. The attention to detail. The fact that everything is unique and elegant. read more

I work around the corner at an antique jewelry shop and also work in antique restoration, repair, and sales on my own. I just finally stopped into Tendenza after admiring a customer's earring who had come into our shop with one of their diamond bar earrings. I am not sure how, but I was quickly, very rudely and wrongly sized-up as a jewelry designer trying to copy a design from their store. The man there, possibly the owner, was uncomfortably starring at me like I was a thief or something. He was peppering me with questions he acted he knew the answers to... it was upsetting to say the least. The most unfortunate thing is the fact that I do business down the street- I recommend our customers who may want something different to Love Adorned or The Clay Pot all the time.. people in the neighborhood who deserve the business and offer quality pieces and service. I thought I was discovering not only a new beautiful piece but a new neighbor. And now I cannot recommend to anyone- I am still so shocked. How are people like this in business.. big mistake.. HUGE. read more

*DISCLAIMER- This review is in regards to engraving only. Not jewelry design or purchasing* Its hard for me to write this, because she seemed nice (the jeweler). I brought in a gold plated, brass bracelet for engraving. A 30th birthday present for my girlfriend. So a big deal gift, and not a cheap piece based on my limited income (I paid $200 for it). The engraving text came out with a huge, ugly mistake. In addition, I wanted a roman numeral for "30" in a separate location on the piece, which she didnt even attempt. Probably because of the mistake on the text engraving. So I arrive to pick it up a whole week after I dropped it off. This was on the day before I was to fly out to see my girlfriend and give her the gift (she's on tour). The jeweler knew this was the case because when I dropped it off she was grateful for the long lead time saying most people didnt give her that much time to work, and that i'd have it right before her birthday. So I basically show up to receive a ruined gold bracelet without any time to fix it. She did refund all my money, and offered to try and fix it for free when my girlfriend gets back from tour (which is why I gave 2 stars, instead of just 1), but im so sad about how this experience went that I'll never come back here. It really sucks that I need to give my girlfriend her 30th birthday present wrapped in an apology. My plan is to take it somewhere else entirely to have some other engraver (hopefully) salvage the piece. So if engraving is what you're after, beware. read more
