I came into the Bait Box for lunch with a friend before the season really launched, in late April…read more My friend and I had drinks and food at the bar. Firstly, I love the location, I get that it's a stopping point for boaters but I really enjoy the SJ back road drive out there and will have to do it again on a warm summer day. My friend and I both had smash burgers. We split a Bavarian pretzel and my friend had a cup of seafood chowder. The burgers were just okay, it was much fatter than a smash burger lol. And not very flavorful. The Bavarian pretzel was very yummy but could use another sauce, maybe a sweet sauce. And my friend and I agreed that the seafood chowder was also just okay. Food wise, the pretzel was the highlight for us both. Again though, this place was just getting started for the season and thus I believe they were trying out some new menu items. I had a Guinness to drink, which always pleases me. My friend ordered two different beers that they didn't have in stock, finally he settled on a Budweiser. I think again, they were likely just in the process of stocking up for the season. I'll need to return here when they're in full swing and reassess. But I do love the location and atmosphere alone, being a SJ girl that grew up on boats. Our bartender did just fine and obviously knows all the locals.

They have a nice rotation of beers from local breweries and some not so local. The staff are friendly and don't take any shit. Finally, the food is always good. As simple as fried pickles are, they take up a notch. 10/10 would drink here again.

At that moment my eyes lit up just thinking of the idea of chicken fajitas made my mouth water! I immediately agreed but first we had to get our drinks. I ordered a Coke and when it got to me I couldn't believe my eyes. It was in a tall beer mug. It was beautiful it was like the feeling of being strong like an adult but having the whimsicalness of a child! When my food got to the table I swear I saw Heavenly light and trumpets beckoning me. This food oh my God! it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It had the taste of happiness in the creativity of man. You construct it however you would like. Being able to create your own destiny.... It's. Just magical.. I'm crying just thinking about it. So that's why I'm giving Chili's five stars.

Growing up in Hammonton, you learn pretty quickly which places matter. West End Grill & Bar is one…read moreof them. What I love most is that this place has kept all its charm. Walk through the door and it still feels like the West End should--comfortable, familiar, and unapologetically itself. No forced updates, no trying to be something it's not. The wings are really good. They do serve half wings, which I normally don't prefer, but these are huge for halves. Meaty, cooked right, and more than satisfying. Easily one of those orders you'll come back for. The crowd is friendly and lively, the kind of place where conversations flow, people are laughing, and everyone just seems glad to be there. It has that true neighborhood bar energy that's getting harder to find. West End Grill & Bar has held onto what made it special in the first place, and that's exactly why it still works.

We've been to Uncle Ricky's a few times over the last few years and visited again last Friday…read moreevening, July 19, 2024. Overall, the experience was great! I am not 100% certain that Uncle Ricky's offers inside seating: the main dining areas are outside, complete with a full bar that's enclosed (but still outside). There is a second bar that's fully exposed to the elements. It is definitely a low-key, relaxing environment and very enjoyable when the weather cooperates! Some key takeaways from our visit that may help out fellow would-be patrons: there isn't any draft beer. No big deal. I tried one of the specialty drinks called Cherry Ale and wow was it amazing! Uncle Ricky's offers standard "bar food" fare but above and beyond that, there's a full menu of items available as well as daily specials. A friend of mine likes Uncle Ricky's because they offer many seafood dinner options. There is also a strong chance of live music. Their Facebook page will alert you to the evening's specials as well as if there is a band playing or not. On Friday, there was a band and yes, it was pretty loud, but this didn't impact our evening negatively. Also, it's a bar atmosphere populated with regulars and locals. We find the buzz of a busy environment, filled with people enjoying life a rather pleasant experience. If you're looking for a more intimate, quiet place then you may want to reconsider. The server we had was attentive and pleasant. I also think the pricing of food and drink was extremely reasonable. Good service, a nice variety of different food options, and a relaxing atmosphere - what more do you need? For these reasons, I would patronize Uncle Ricky's again and recommend this business to others who are seeking a similar experience.
