Shopping for a mattress has to be one of the most dreaded experiences in my life. I have been…read morethrough more mattresses in my life then I would personally admit too. So life has me moving to a new home and I am once again looking to buy yet another bed. The showroom was clean, every person was provided a sanitized bed sheet to lay upon, and mass will required. A perfect shopping experience during these covid times. There was a wide variety of mattresses to choose from and the sales staff was helpful but not intrusive. This allowed me to take my time and feel no pressure. I did not purchase a mattress today, I do plan on returning within the next few days to make a purchase. Mattresses are made in the warehouse and you can see through the windows the workers busy crafting your new bed. Best of all, they have reasonable prices compared to other mattress retailers in the area.

We purchased a $1400 mattress set from the Raleigh location. The first night left us both with…read morebackaches. We quickly realized our heads are below our feet and the middle of the mattress sags when we sleep in the middle (yes, we sleep cuddle). I notified the store, they sent a guy out with a yard stick. We ALL know what that means! There is no visible sag in the mattress but how it performs when we are in the bed is a problem. We explained our experience, and the guy suggested we give the mattress more time and that we had a year to exchange it. He also said he'd check in on us in a few weeks, which did not happen. Skip ahead 10 weeks and we can't take it anymore! We call, they say come down and pick another mattress. We go, we pick a firmer mattress ($799) and they want us to pay $300 more for a mattress that is $500 less than what we've already paid. Wait? What!?! He said flip mattress and see if that side is better, if not, WE (the customer) CAN PAY for them to pick it up, take it to their factory to be dismantled to see if there is a defect. This is the worst purchasing experience we've ever had. Their sales person says you can exchange if it doesn't work but the reality there is 25% fee (of lesser mattress) and you pay to pick up the bad one and deliver the new one. We are a senior couple on a fixed income. We saved for a new set and thought a locally made product sounded like a good idea for many reasons. If the company doesn't stand behind their product, clearly they know their products are not quality and they don't truly care about customer satisfaction. Posted for my neighbors. This is their experience.

Zero frills, just a step or two above a warehouse even, but it serves the purpose just fine, and that's what counts. * CUSTOMER SERVICE (5.0) - Loved working with Tom, such awesomely nice, professional guy with a no-pressure style. * SHIPPING SPEED (5.0) - Arrived in about a week, just as promised! * SANYA HYBRID SEPHORA MODEL (5.0): Love, love, love this bed! And boy, let me tell ya, we shopped until we dropped, drove ourselves plum nuts driving around and laying on different beds, settling on this one, and after 6 mos of well rested use, we honestly couldn't be happier! * COMFORT AND QUALITY (5.0) - Most comfortable bed we've ever owned! Yes, everyone's tastes are different, but for the two of us, we wanted a bed that was softer while still providing that underlying firm support, and this mattress delivers in spades! * Laying flat after unpacking (5.0) - The genius of getting a king size bed in a box that's about 2'x2'x4' and it still laying out flat with zero issues, is amazing ... zero concerns there! * PACKAGING QUALITY (1.0) - As far as quality of the box itself, the mfr should really be shot: putting a 70 lb mattress in a sgl-layer cardboard with no handles was insane, box showed up ripped and tattered, poor shipper (FedEx ground) had to cobble tape around it just to get it here. Then, just try to drag that heavy thing up the stairs ... it took every ounce of strength my wife, daughter, and I had to get it up there. That box should be twice as thick, with 2 plastic straps on each end and even greater support at those connection points.

This is a no frills place, but don't let that deter you! I was surprised by the selection they had and they were definitely competitively priced. Upon seeing a sectional I liked, Ronnie was super helpful in answering any questions I had. He had me pull up a virtual view of my apartment so he could see the layout and if my selections would fit. He even suggested a left-side chaise which would fit better in my apartment. Once I decided on a couch, I feared I would have to wait weeks for delivery, but Ronnie said they would have it to me by Saturday (I bought it on a Thursday). The delivery guys were early and they called before they arrived, set up the couch in about 5 minutes and took all the trash with them. I would 100% recommend RDF to anyone looking for some quality pieces for their home.

Kind of embarrassing to wait 2 years before writing a review for excellent service. Even worse that…read moreits the excellent service experience that got me back to writing Yelp reviews as we excited covid. Back in late 2021 we finally settled on a new house. We were all exiting covid and our stuff had been in storage. We had moved back to Raleigh from out of town only to hit Covid. So our stuff had been in storage for several years. We moved in right before the holidays. As part of that we had to also get the new house ready for holiday guests. Yes it was stressful. Even worse, we found that our hand made cherry bed had been partially destroyed by the previous movers. Lucky enough a friend of a friend could recommend an outstanding wood craftsman. He came quickly and repaired the frame. That left the next issue, the mattresses had not done well in storage and needed to be replaced. And I don't need to remind you how much businesses and all of use were struggling to get back in a rhythm. So with maybe a week or a week and a half to go, i went in search of a mattress. Turns out it was an unusual size. I can't recall now. Thats what happens when you wait to long. But for YEARS while we had been in Raleigh before we left town in 2012, Original Mattress Factory had been our place for mattresses. What we all liked among other things, is that they are made here, in the store. So I messaged the corporate portal. Again, remember how much businesses were struggling to get back on their feet then. Wish i could find the email. I got an IMMEDIATE response from some executive. CEO? Can't recall. Clearly there not staffed at HQ yet. he had understood my need and called the sales rep at this store who was ready to have me come in. it had been, like, minutes. RESPECT. i raced over there and the sales rep, wish i could remember his name, was Johnny on the spot. he showed me my choices, said my unusual size was not on the floor, but they made them there and would whip it out for me. They could deliver next week! I almost propsed marriage right there. And sure enough on the day, the two guys showed up very professionally. they delivered, they even moved the old mattresses for me downstairs. The next day my long awaited nephew showed up none the wiser. What a fabulous experience. Each year since we have had holiday guests in that bed. The whole experience was an outstanding value. Attitude of good service starts at the top!

The women in the showroom were very knowledgeable & made the purchasing process seamless. The color couch we wanted was not something that was in stock & was going to take 6-8 weeks to be delivered, which we were fine with. They had plenty of other options that could have been delivered sooner but this was the one we really wanted. They had everything delivered to us within the given time frame! The gentlemen who delivered the couch were professional & efficient. It had been raining on the day of delivery so the ground was wet, but they got the couches in our back door and not a spot on them. Very reasonably priced furniture & a great team to assist you! We will definitely be stopping here first for any future furniture needs.

Every other store had delivery for the sofas we wanted estimated for 8-12 weeks (Covid, back orders, pausing in manufacturing). We came into this store and began looking around. We also purchased a sectional sofa and a lift top coffee table. The sofa was also available to be delivered and set up on Monday (two days from purchase!!). All items (full dining room set with 4 stools, large 3 piece sectional, and lift top coffee table) plus delivery came to just under 1800. They also have some financing options available as well! The folks who worked there were also incredibly helpful and worked with us to get the items we wanted as quickly as possible. I would 10000% return to this place for my furniture needs!
