This is a lovely Thai restaurant in Milton. It has a fantastic location on the corner of Milton Road and Gordon Street, so when you drive by it automatically creates interest, especially with it's super large 'Temple' sign on the side.
Built with dark thai wood decor, this place has a certain warmth about it. It feels calm and cosy, which is especially important for nights when you want to have an intimate dinner with someone. When you walk in you will find the bar on the right, the bar which serves NO alcohol and strictly BYO. It's a shame though, because when you come to a place like this, you would assume you can just order a glass of wine or bottle to share while you have your meal. Also, the bar looks really good! As if you really are in Thailand- but all you can get are soft drinks and teas.
The curry is quite good, the ambience even better, but the service could do we a makeover. On the few occasions I've been here, I find myself less and less impressed by the staff there. They seemed a lot more interested in talking amongst themselves than attending to its diners. I've taken my family here and felt almost embarrassed at the fact that this place made us all feel a bit unwelcome. When we got our table it took a very long time until someone came to take our order. When they did and went to the kitchen, another waiter asked for our order, which then created confusion between the staff. Ah! Few more confusing incidents followed that evening, like receiving the wrong order and waiting for the last dish which came out 15 mins after the first, at this point the first couple of dishes were almost done. Geeez.
Mediocre food, great ambience, not the best customer service. read more
