El Hub and I, having spent 45 minutes looking for wood stakes for our annual kite-making extravaganza, emerged quite hungrily from Bunnings circa 7 pm on a random Thursday evening, ready to devour the next plate of food that should be so unlucky to make eye contact with us. Several minutes of yelping later, we stumbled across Thai Ways, and what a little gem it was. There was only one other couple dining there, and when we walked in we were greeting immediately with a pleasant smile and utmost attentiveness. The food was reasonably priced considering the massive portions (which we did not struggle finishing, being the gluttonous Americans that we are). I ordered the Drunken noddles with chicken, and El Hub got the Pad Kra Pow with chicken as well. If you're familiar with my reviews, you know I'm way past normal with my criteria for good Drunken Noodles (regarding the kitchen's respect for the concept of wok char). I can most assuredly say that these noodles were definitely wok charred pleasantly enough to hint at some flavour, and were loaded with tender chicken and veggies. If I am in the area again, I would not hesitate to eat here, and would whole-heartedly recommend this place to any of my friends. Moreover, Thai Ways was very clean and tastefully decorated. read more
