Inside, Chinpala Kitchen doesn't look like much. Tables are adorned with plastic covers and surrounded with humble looking seats. Past the makeshift counter, you can see directly into the kitchen where the cooks prepare meals with a relaxed and carefree smile. Don't worry, its all good. If there's one thing that I've learned about Thai restaurants and takeaways, it's never judge the establishment by the way it appears.
When I first arrived, my initial though was, I knew it was too good to be true. It was only that afternoon when my wife and I oow'd and ahh'd over a new thai menu found in our letterbox. We'd tried everything around the area and were happy to find a new place to indulge in.
We ordered and were told our pick up would be ready in twenty minutes. This was great. When served at the counter, I was told that our food would be another five minutes. This was forgivable. When the plastic containers came out, steam building in the transparent containers, I took notice of the vibrant colours of the curries and warm beef salad we had ordered. That was reassuring.
Arriving at home and opening our dinner, we were surprised that there was a genuine fresh look to the meals. The aromas themselves indicated that our meals hadn't been taken from some big pot of premade food. Compared to similar takeaways Chinpala Kitchen, doesn't serve as much, but makes it up in pure contentment through oral satisfaction. read more
