We made contact with them through their…read morewebsite and I was contacted immediately by Nicole who I would have the pleasure of speaking to many times after, for better or worse. The cons: Definite breakdown in communication between the employees and also with their suppliers. We ended up having to reschedule numerous times over the course of several weeks due to failed communication and issues with orders not arriving on time. The pros: Nicole was the star of the show. Due to the miscommunications on several occasions, I had to contact Nicole several times to follow up or reschedule. Nicole was responsive and professional regardless of whether she was in the office or not (happened a few times). She was their saving grace, to be honest. I would normally not have stuck around after the third reschedule. The installers were all extremely kind and professional and did their jobs very well. All in all, we understand that businesses are having to make adjustments due to closures that may impact business. The Truth is that many of the issues that came up in coordinating the installs could have been avoided with better communication. We will probably not go through Triple Crown again but I definitely want to give the employees their due for the services as and when they were provided.

In an attempt to lower our cooling cost and to take advantage of our views during the dog days of summer, we opted to give Mintuemen's solar screens a try and we couldn't be happier that we did. The solar screens definitely keep our home cooler and the entire team at Minutemen has been a pleasure to deal with, from the front office to the team in the field everyone has been friendly yet professional. Minutemen understand it is not only important to provide a good product but to also provide good service. If you are a home/property owner and need solar screens, window work or shower doors I highly recommend using them.

They offer a military discount- which I'm always down to save some money if I can- AND they are EXTREMELY reasonable in pricing. They offer many types of glass- thickness- dimensions- colors- etc. And every piece is CUSTOM MADE to order. I have 3 more pieces I want made- and I don't see myself using ANY OTHER COMPANY.- Nor do I even think of calling around for quotes... Because- back when I 1st started- Killeen Glass was the BEST in price!-- and after seeing their craftsmanship- I wouldn't dare use anyone else, and cheapen the value of my Home's appearance. :) Being a Hipster- I've extremely Artsy! And i 'LOVE' projects around the house.-- All I'm going to say- Consider getting THE MOST FOR YOUR BUCK- as well as SAVE SOME MONEY IF YOU CAN- by checking this place out. :)

The most ridiculous thing, however, was they put all the drywall dust and debris IN MY BATHTUB! THEN to top it all off, I noticed there was a scratch on my large mirror where they'd put the brace on!

I ordered custom interior shutters from Custom Draperies by Lydia, who in turn ordered them through…read moremanufacturer, Metro Blind in Shade. I placed my order in mid-June 2010. As of September 18, 2010, only three pieces from my order (less than half of what I ordered) have been installed and delivered. The list of issues with this order. is long: there were production problems, a lost/misplaced order, and, finally, an inability by the manufacturer to expedite the delivery of my shutters due to rain and the Labor Day weekend. Two times I've been contacted by Custom Draperies by Lydia's supplier (Metro Blind and Shade) to confirm installation only to find out 24 hours before the scheduled installation that the complete shutter order is STILL not ready. Obviously the supplier used by Custom Draperies by Lydia is lacking in quality control as this was noticed after I was told that everything was ready to be installed this week. I have spent several thousand dollars on these custom shutters and this has been, by far, the worst service I've ever received from any company in any industry. Case in point: two days ago I was contacted by "Jay" @ Metro Blind and Shade (Custom Draperies by Lydia's supplier) and informed that there was a mis-match in the paint color on my shutters and that they were working to get the issue resolved and would be back in touch ASAP to reschedule the installation. 48 hours have gone by without a word from either Metro Blind and Shade or their local agent, Custom Draperies by Lydia. I will never, ever do business with either firm again and I will never recommend Custom Draperies by Lydia or their supplier (Metro Blind and Shade) to any family, friends or colleges.
