They got me in right away (when I called back the 2nd time to book, they came the same day!). Two nice guys showed up, were here for about 30 minutes, and cleaned the vent. I asked them to take pictures since the work was done in the attic, and I didn't go up there (see attached pics). We had not had them cleaned in about 4 years, and they needed it! On their way out, they quoted me to clean our HVAC vents, which I had not even thought of doing. I will definitely use them again.

Excellent service…read more Miki from GL East was professional, responsive, communicative throughout the process, and very accommodating of all my requests and questions. I discovered on Sunday that birds were flying in and out of my exterior vent openings and potentially nesting inside the ducts. I reached out to GL East that afternoon, and Miki responded the same day. He followed up by phone first thing Monday morning to gather additional information and was able to schedule my appointment for Tuesday. In addition to dealing with the bird nests, I also needed my dryer vent cleaned but was not sure which exterior vent opening it was connected to. Miki inspected both vent openings with a camera, identified the correct one, cleaned the vent from the outside, and then vacuumed it from inside behind the dryer. I live in an old Boston brownstone where laundry closets tend to have challenging configurations, and mine is no exception. My washer-dryer stack is located inside a very tight laundry closet that is difficult to access. Miki was able to complete the cleaning without having to move the washer-dryer unit, which was a big win in my book. He even helped me move the suitcases that I store on top of the washer-dryer stack, and then put them back in when finished. Afterwards, he showed me a photo of the inside of the cleaned vent so I could see the results for myself. My appointment was today, and he is returning next week to install protective screening over the vent openings to help prevent birds from entering and nesting in the future. I would absolutely hire Miki again for future dryer vent maintenance and am recommending him to all my neighbors.
