Dr. V is the only dentist on the website and her name is on the door. We thought we had found the perfect dentist for our 2 anxious children.... However, today when we came in for our appointment we were not seen by Dr. V. No one told us that our appointment was with someone else. We were not told we would not see the dentist my son was expecting to see. The new dentist was not warm, not informative, and honestly didn't seem kid friendly. She didn't warn my 6 year old that the fluoride would string and when he asked for water and said his mouth was burning, she wasn't comforting at all...in fact she seemed annoyed..... Her tone was condescending (made him scared and feel guilty that he has a grown up tooth growing in behind the baby tooth) instead of encouraging. Again, he is 6. Shocking day at the dentist and it's sad that you can have such different experiences.

The newly expanded office and team are just as great as before. I love entering the whimsical forest and seeing the woodland creatures. We try to go early so that the kids can get game time on the ipads. Their "dentist shirt" is the one item of clothing that they never lose because they get so excited to get a 2nd token for prizes. They've saved every shirt over the years, even if they no longer fit. I love Tatum pediatric and am so happy to have them caring for my kiddos.

I like that the staff here is super friendly, our appointment was on time, I think it may have even been a few minutes early, the office has video games and a movie playing to keep the kids entertained while they sit in the waiting area and on the way out they gave us a gold coin to use in their toy / prize machine after our appointment. I'm so happy we decided to switch to Camelback Pediatric Dentistry, the last place we were at was such a stark difference from this, bad service, appointments were always 45 minutes or more late, the waiting room was dark. Anyway, we went ahead with braces and $5K later, my child's top teeth are still too forward, and bottom teeth are getting crooked again. Wish I would not have gone to Children's Dental for braces. They are good with cleaning and other regular stuff but not for my kid's teeth straightening. Will need to revisit braces again, both with another place. Wish I could get a refund.

Today, I received a call from Cassandra that my insurance is HMO and it's not accepted, which is not correct as it says, "PPO" on my dental insurance card. She passed me on to another employee named Eduardo who then told me the same thing, but it seems like there's some sort of discrepancy between the first time I made the appointment and four months until now. I asked him why their clinic didn't call or verify beforehand or even after a reasonable time from the get-go about the insurance issues to resolve instead of waiting until the last minute. His response was we have more clients than just you. WOW. Very unprofessional and I was very upset at this point for the disrespectfulness. I told him to cancel my appointment. This dental clinic does not even have out-of-network benefits. I do not recommend this clinic at all.
