It is literally the nicest school staff you could imagine in too many ways to count. From the beautiful and inspirational Principal to the assorted parent volunteers, the PTA and the sweet custodians, these four years we've spent at this school have spoiled us and if we were considering a move at any point before 5th grade graduation, it would be a deal breaker if we had to leave this school. Seriously.

My child experienced relentless bullying while attending this school, and it had a devastating impact on her mental health. When she reached out to the principal and counselors for help, she was dismissed instead of supported. No child should ever be felt this way under any circumstance but maybe that's just what I think for all I know. The academics were just as disappointing. Instead of providing engaging instruction, many classes consisted of students watching YouTube videos that still left all the kids confused. My child left this school feeling unprepared academically and emotionally. The trauma my daughter experienced here is something our family is still dealing with. She is now in middle school, and she has repeatedly said she would never want anyone else to go through what she experienced at this school. Based on our experience, I strongly urge parents to look elsewhere. No school is perfect, but this was indeed the worst experience our family has ever had. Please do your research before enrolling your child I would not recommend this school to anyone.

My son has no music class, no field trips, no art class and a PE class that's barely that. For PE the have free time 9 times out of ten. Never once has my kid learned something like a sport or anything athletic. For Art the teacher puts on YouTube! When she has nothing else to do for her second graders she puts on Elmo and Disney. The special needs children have pushed her to the floor. No aids in the classrooms of this size! All this school cares about is there standardized testing! Not how the kids do or what goes on in these classrooms. They are not learning. They are put in front of computers ( but not to be taught computers or coding or anything useful) and told to sit still. And to top it off....Twenty pumps on the swings and you must get off.

I'm currently fostering my nieces, and my five-year-old niece is enrolled in the kindergarten class…read moreat the Temecula Student Center. I can't say enough about how grateful I am for TSC. From the very beginning, the staff has been exceptionally kind, attentive, and thoughtful. My niece has a kindergarten teacher she truly adores. Earlier this year, one of her teachers was promoted after only two months, and I was understandably worried about yet another transition for a child who has already endured so much change. The way TSC handled that transition was deeply reassuring; there was a clear, caring plan in place, and my niece quickly formed a strong connection with her new teacher as well. My niece was removed from her home over the summer and has experienced significant trauma in her short life. She carries a great deal of fear and anxiety, and she has selective mutism, meaning she is only able to speak with certain people. At her previous school, she never spoke to her TK teacher or her classmates. Seeing her now whispering to her teachers and a few of her peers at TSC feels like a small miracle, and also a powerful sign that she feels safe. Every part of her day is held with care. From the breakfast room staff who help her settle in each morning, to the gate staff who personally call for someone to escort her inside, to Ms. Heidi, the parking lot safety person who greets her with a warm smile and helps her out of the car, each small act of kindness has made a real difference. She comes home happy every day, more confident, and eager to share what she's learning. I'm also so appreciative of how present and engaged Valerie and Jeanette are as administrators. One or both are outside during arrival and dismissal time every single day. Her teachers, Ms. Smith, Ms. Merrifield, and Ms. K, have gone above and beyond to create a sense of safety, continuity, and belonging during a very tender time in her life. One staff member even reached out to me about resources available for foster families through Springs. I haven't yet had the chance to connect, but simply being seen and thought of in that way meant more than I can express. Springs has brought stability, care, and a sense of grounding to an incredibly difficult season in my niece's life, not just through personalized learning, but through genuine, personalized care.

Yes, Bev (the FORMER front office clerk) wasn't the most friendly person you run into but after my sons first year I had a great relationship with her. If you treat people with respect, you get respect in return. That's clear in some of these reviews that there was no rapport or relationship with any of these people and the school. Are you surprised the school told you no to pull your kid out because you missed them??? Wait 2 hours and enjoy them after school. The school doesn't owe you anything...ever...except to keep you child safe while they learn. And this school does both very well. Highly rated be Great Schools for a reason. My family has only ever had one teacher we didn't care for and her contract was not extended from what I understand. The staff and administration do care for these kids and do a wonderful job educating them both academically and socially. Kinda seems like a few parents in the area could use some lessons based on the reviews I just read. Proud Alamos parent signing off!

My experience as a parent with Alamos Elementary School was extremely disappointing, particularly…read morebecause of how a serious racial incident involving my son, Amir, was handled. On May 1, 2026, two students admitted to using a school-issued iPad and Google Translate to program the device to say, "Amir is a N-word" out loud in the classroom in front of other students and staff. As a father, I expected an incident this serious to be handled with transparency, accountability, urgency, and concern for my son's well-being. Instead, I was left with more questions than answers. I had concerns about how the incident was officially classified, what consequences and protections were put in place, how the students would be separated from my son, how staff would prevent retaliation or additional harassment, and why my son could potentially be the one removed from a classroom if he felt uncomfortable rather than the students responsible for the incident. I was also disappointed with the lack of transparency surrounding the investigation. I was not provided the information I requested regarding the iPad, how the device was programmed, screenshots or messages, or other documentation related to the investigation. My experience communicating with the administration made the situation even worse. A meeting was changed to 8:30 AM without me receiving written notice, an email, phone call, text message, or updated calendar invitation. I was later told that I had verbally confirmed the change, which I disputed. When I attempted to address my concerns in person, I felt dismissed and disrespected. My experience with Principal Jenniffer Aynesworth was particularly disappointing. I felt that instead of having an open conversation with me as a concerned parent, my concerns were not given the attention they deserved. I was also frustrated that I was unable to have the conversation I was seeking with Assistant Principal Cassandra Grace regarding the situation. This was not about a minor disagreement between children. My son was specifically targeted with one of the most offensive racial slurs possible, using school-issued technology, in a school environment where he should have felt safe. As a parent, I expected the school to communicate clearly, provide transparency about what occurred, protect my child, hold those responsible accountable, and treat me with respect when I advocated for him. Based on my experience, I did not feel that standard was met. I hope Alamos Elementary and the district take situations like this seriously and improve how they communicate with parents and respond to incidents involving racial harassment. No parent should have to fight this hard simply to get answers and ensure their child feels safe at school.

She would send my son home with a sweater that wasn't his sometimes, his water bottle went "missing" at school somehow, and when it came to IEP meetings she would schedule, but would forget to cancel or would try and act like I forgot we had an IEP meeting whenever she did. During the meetings she seemed unprepared. I now know never to sign an IEP until it's all in paper because teachers say one thing, but write another thing in the IEP. At the end of the school year she kept suggesting for my son to attend another school. Did I forget to mention she called cps claiming my son had belt marks, hand marks, and bruises on him?
