I'm currently fostering my nieces, and my five-year-old niece is enrolled in the kindergarten class at the Temecula Student Center. I can't say enough about how grateful I am for TSC. From the very beginning, the staff has been exceptionally kind, attentive, and thoughtful. My niece has a kindergarten teacher she truly adores. Earlier this year, one of her teachers was promoted after only two months, and I was understandably worried about yet another transition for a child who has already endured so much change. The way TSC handled that transition was deeply reassuring; there was a clear, caring plan in place, and my niece quickly formed a strong connection with her new teacher as well. My niece was removed from her home over the summer and has experienced significant trauma in her short life. She carries a great deal of fear and anxiety, and she has selective mutism, meaning she is only able to speak with certain people. At her previous school, she never spoke to her TK teacher or her classmates. Seeing her now whispering to her teachers and a few of her peers at TSC feels like a small miracle, and also a powerful sign that she feels safe. Every part of her day is held with care. From the breakfast room staff who help her settle in each morning, to the gate staff who personally call for someone to escort her inside, to Ms. Heidi, the parking lot safety person who greets her with a warm smile and helps her out of the car, each small act of kindness has made a real difference. She comes home happy every day, more confident, and eager to share what she's learning. I'm also so appreciative of how present and engaged Valerie and Jeanette are as administrators. One or both are outside during arrival and dismissal time every single day. Her teachers, Ms. Smith, Ms. Merrifield, and Ms. K, have gone above and beyond to create a sense of safety, continuity, and belonging during a very tender time in her life. One staff member even reached out to me about resources available for foster families through Springs. I haven't yet had the chance to connect, but simply being seen and thought of in that way meant more than I can express. Springs has brought stability, care, and a sense of grounding to an incredibly difficult season in my niece's life, not just through personalized learning, but through genuine, personalized care. read more

Mrs Erika Nevares Homeschool program and Julie Norman Journey program is the reason why I chose to continue having my kids at Springs Charter School. They helped my kids thrive with self esteem and soar academically. They are those teachers that truly roots and believes in your children and self sacrificing support to us parents. They are the teachers I wish I had growing up. The kind of teachers your kids will look back and be forever grateful for. I hope Springs Charter School gives these two extraordinary women the bonus or raise they deserve. My Special Ed student was lied to, services withheld, threatened with expulsion for not taking state tests, and a whole host of other illegal things. They have funds to provide curriculum and activities, but don't expect support or communication. read more

I love this school! We had done the home school option when COVID shut the schools down, and then we moved to the Venture program. Omg, what a blessing. Teachers are super understanding and realize kids can't sit for hours on end listening to lectures. There are so many programs the kids do to help them learn (no cost to you) from iReady to Moby math. Great, great program for the child who does better outside of the school environment. My son loves his school, but not as much as his mom! read more

My children attended the Corona Student Center (River Springs Charter School) TK - 4th grade. We had a wonderful experience with the staff at CSC. My children attended Springs Charter School during the 2014-2015 school year. I had just removed them from public school and was extremely naïve about homeschooling. I was not familiar with the different methods of homeschooling https://www.time4learning.com/homeschooling-styles/#:~:text=Types%20of%20Homeschooling.%201%20Traditional%20Homeschooling.%202%20Roadschooling.,9%20Charlotte%20Mason%20Homeschooling.%2010%20Waldorf%20Homeschooling.%20 either, and our ES (educational specialist) did not take the time to go over them with us (possibly assuming we knew about them already?) I found the entire experience to be "hokey pokey" at best. We were given worn textbooks without teaching guides and told to find the answer key online. Many of the answers on the online answer key were wrong, which I brought to the attention of our ES. When supplies were to be dropped off, our ES would not show up or call to let us know she wouldn't be able to make it. When I did make a complaint, I was given the excuse "well it's the mountains, and things are done a little differently there." Thankfully we made it through the year. The next year, I found a much better school in Sky Mountain Charter. read more

Enrolled my children for the second time in 2022 after moving out of state. WORST EVER!! Between no one knowing what was going on with enrollment, to no instructional guidance to help get us started we started off behind. Our ES couldn't or wouldn't spell our names correctly repeatedly. It was a mountain climb from the get go, with very little help. They say they have a "learning curve" more like sink or swim. read more

I have to say this is one of the worst charter schools around. The teachers are rude and feel that they are above the parents and bully the students. My kids did go here, I will not say what years. Just know you owe it to your kids to find a better option in town. Shame on you guys, terrible! read more

Ventures Online School with Springs Charters one of the worst schools ever. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I have never seen anything like it. You work for us the parents not the other way around. Parents beware run don't walk and and find another place. They don't know what they are doing. They are extremely disorganized and their grading is completely off. If you child has IEP or 504 forget it they do not follow thru. Report them to school board. One of the worse educational experience my child has experienced. Moved to another school. I am so glad my student is doing so much better A and B's and most importantly is happy and thriving. read more

We have been with Springs Charter for a few years as part of the homeschool program. Our oldest will be starting high school with Springs and our 4th child will be joining as a kindergartener in the fall. Springs is such an amazing school. Everyone there has been so incredibly supportive of our children's educational journey from the very beginning. When they say they encourage individualized learning, Springs Charter means it. They let our kids follow goals and dreams that inspire them rather than forcing specific content on them. I could not be happier with this school. Not only have we had a great experience with our teachers supporting our kids emotionally and intellectually, but the teachers have been great at providing me with resources to use when helping my own children learn. I am so inspired by this school to push for a more free and happy learning experience that I hope to work for them one day as an ES. I love the Springs Charter homeschool program! read more

The online venture school has to be one of the worst ever ! I now realize the majority of schools In California are just horrible I cannot wait to move out of state ! My child has an IEP that was NEVER followed, the teachers are horrible, my child's teacher never checked in on his progress which I was told they are required to do and at the last minute told my child that she never received major assignments from him on the last day of school knowing that he wouldn't have time to do them, how pathetic.I truly believe that they do not like children with special needs, they lied about offering services just to get us to enroll. This school should make the news how horrible they are ! read more

Nothing was done to help my son when a teacher allegedly touched him. You did nothing and never contacted me. I had to deal with your clown of a teacher who did no real investigation. We left and my son is still scarred 2 years later. Shame on you. read more

This is such a wonderful way to teach your child. Homeschooling has been a real blessing to our family. My child is able to be with friends at an on site school for two days a week and home for three. I strongly suggest it. The teachers are helpful and friendly too. read more

I was hired as a substitute a year ago. I felt good about the hiring because the school seemed to have a good sense of communication. I showed up to every assignment with enthusiasm, and the desire to make learning fun. And, judging by the input of students, that I did so. And all of a sudden the calls for assignments just stopped, as if my phone number was lost. After a short time (7 weeks) I contacted HR to see why I had not been contacted. HR responded with a letter specifying 3 reasons for my dismissal; 1. that I fell asleep in a classroom ( for a few seconds). A teaching assistant reported this. No one asked me, but I was going through some very difficult times in my family, and had not slept in days. But I needed the work, so what could I say. 2. It was alleged that I spoke some "adult words" in the company of students. I am not saying that this did not occur. I am not perfect. But at the time this was reported I was never spoken to about this incident. You would think that, in a loving environment like a school, that someone might have approached me about the incident. 3. That I had not followed a lesson plan properly. Again, you would think that a school might have approached me at the time of this incident, but it did not. Instead it chose to go the wrote of the corporation and have no feeling toward me whatsoever, and not even contact me at all. It was as if they just wanted me to disappear. And yes, HR fired me. My sons are attending this school in Temecula. They love it! Small classes, very professional teachers. I love this school also, because it's a very safe and small school. Drop off and pick up kids take a little bit time, but most important is a safety and I love it! Keep going, Springs Charter! read more

My granddaughter went to River Springs Charter School in Riverside California, we had a very positive experience, when we moved to Temecula in 2016 she went to Temecula Elementary school which was a mistake, we did not know it was in a shady neighborhood of Temecula, she finished 5th grade there, instead of going to the public middle school I decided to put her back in River Springs, she went to the one off of Rancho California Road. Worst experience ever!! As a Caucasian woman I am appalled at the treatment my biracial granddaughter received at this dysfunctional school, unlike the one in Riverside this school is for children with behavioral problems, bullying and racism run rampant. When my granddaughter stood up for herself she was blamed and not the ones doing the bullying. The former principal (R.I.P.) was as racist and she wanted to be. Had to transfer my granddaughter back into public school, where she has been fine. Temecula does not have a whole lot of decent school choices. Which is sad, but River Springs should not even be an option, especially for POC. Especially the one on Lyndie Lane. read more

My kids love the Temecula campus. It is very convenient to our home and the teachers seem really invested in the kids. I love the small class sizes, the personal attention and really love the homeroom teachers that follow my children through all 4 years of high school! Great school! read more
