Jodi the office lady is phenomenal! She is so kind helpful and knowledgeable. This school is lucky to have her. As for my children's teachers, I think they're excellent. They excel in many areas. The other children at the school have all been very welcoming and kind. My kids have adjusted well and are happy with all their new friendships. I love how active their PTA is and the activities they sponsor. My only complaint is pick up and drop off car line is horrible.

My child attends Temecula Valley Charter School. The teachers are doing their best under pressure,…read moreand many of them genuinely care. The problem is not the classroom. The problem is the administration. Dr. Charity Hennings serves as Treasurer on the Board while also controlling student medical plans. That conflict of roles alone should concern every parent. When parents have asked for protocols, she has repeatedly refused to provide transparency. Instead of accountability, she deflects and blames parents when something goes wrong. She has received multiple raises while teachers and staff are stretched to the breaking point, forced to cover multiple departments and responsibilities just to keep the school operational. Educators are overworked, morale is strained, and leadership continues rewarding itself. When you bring concerns to the Board, you quickly learn there is no real oversight. Complaints are simply forwarded back to Dr. Hennings. The Board President does not independently investigate he redirects. Parents are then forced to deal directly with the very person they are filing concerns about. That is not governance. That is insulation. I have attended 6 of these meetings and they are no help. The attitude from administration is clear: if you don't like it, leave. That is not how a publicly funded charter school should operate. The health office is understaffed. There have been multiple student medical emergencies on campus that parents believe were minimized or quietly swept aside. Communication lacks transparency. When student safety is involved, silence is not leadership it is negligence. The promised new site lacks transparency and clarity. Questions go unanswered. Information is vague. Families are expected to simply trust without being given fact. Event the Temecula school district is questioning TVCS. Save your children, do not go here. I am pulling mine out.

Wow, just wow. Some of these reviews are pretty terrible in my opinion…read more One parent complaining about their child being suspended for a misinterpreted comment. Guess what - good lesson for the kid. It's doesn't really matter what your intention was, only how the comment was received. If you have to explain yourself, you probably should have thought a little more in depth before opening your mouth. As far as the front office staff is concerned, I've had to pull my 8th grader out every other month for orthodontist appointments since 6th grade and I've never had a problem. Sounds like the logistics and some of the personal problems of some of these parents might be causing issues for the school so a little push back is taken as rudeness. I'm reality, they're doing their best to make sure the kids are safe and secure. This is my son's final year at Bella Vista (6th grade was full COVID, distance learning) and he's excelled academically. He went in with straight A's from elementary school, started in advanced classes, and has maintained his excellent grades. The teachers are reasonable and firm with expectations based in realism - face it, they're working with freakin' pre-teens and young teens - terrible job in my opinion but glad they are there doing their best for my son everyday. My daughter will gladly go to Bella Vista after another year of elementary school because big brother has had such a positive experience.

So, I've read these reviews. They're just blatantly false…read more I've had two kids in this school since 2015 (one now in 8th grade at the middle school around the corner and one in 4th grade currently). Yes, Bev (the FORMER front office clerk) wasn't the most friendly person you run into but after my sons first year I had a great relationship with her. If you treat people with respect, you get respect in return. That's clear in some of these reviews that there was no rapport or relationship with any of these people and the school. Are you surprised the school told you no to pull your kid out because you missed them??? Wait 2 hours and enjoy them after school. The school doesn't owe you anything...ever...except to keep you child safe while they learn. And this school does both very well. Highly rated be Great Schools for a reason. My family has only ever had one teacher we didn't care for and her contract was not extended from what I understand. The staff and administration do care for these kids and do a wonderful job educating them both academically and socially. Kinda seems like a few parents in the area could use some lessons based on the reviews I just read. Proud Alamos parent signing off!

I would strongly caution parents, especially parents of color, before sending their children to…read moreAlamos Elementary School based on my family's recent experience. My 10-year-old son was the target of a verified racist incident where two students programmed a school-issued iPad to say "Amir is a N-word" out loud during class in front of students and staff. According to administration, the incident was confirmed and the students admitted to it. What has been most disappointing is not only the incident itself, but also the handling and communication afterward. When I initially contacted the school trying to get information regarding this serious situation, I was told by the front office that the Assistant Principal was out sick and that the Principal was not aware of or tracking the incident because it is "a big school." During my later conversation with Principal Jenniffer Aynesworth, I was informed that information was inaccurate. I also felt dismissed during my attempts to get answers as a concerned parent advocating for my child. Instead of immediately treating this situation with the seriousness it deserved, the communication was inconsistent and at times felt unprofessional. Principal Jenniffer Aynesworth further informed me that the school would not remove or relocate the students responsible "because of one student." I was also told that if my son felt uncomfortable remaining around the students involved, my son would instead be moved from the classroom. As a parent, that is unacceptable to me. A child who experiences racial harassment should not feel like they are the one being displaced while the students responsible remain comfortable in the same environment. This situation has emotionally affected my son deeply. He spent the night crying because he was hurt and struggling to understand why this happened to him. Parents deserve to know how situations involving racism, student safety, and parent concerns are handled before deciding where to send their children.

All year last year I actually thought the VP was the Principal because he is the only person I saw all the time doing the duties of the Principal, having contact with the kids and parents. Don't even get me started on the lady in the front office. I just don't understand why people are so unhappy working when there are so many people unemployed looking for work. Many people would love to have her job and would enjoy coming to work everyday, why can't they find someone like this. All the other schools I've been too, the people working there are very happy and helpful, they are excited to have a job and get out early and have every Holiday and Fur-low day off. A major grip I have is that it seems that there is a lot of favoritism going on with the kids and their performing arts. For example when they do shows on/off campus, they have some kids singing a set of songs or one song by themselves when NO other kids where given an equal opportunity to audition for that spot. The teachers that are running the performances are putting their kids, or kids they know or like in the show with out giving every child at that school the opportunity to try out for it, it is not fair to the other kids; every one should have a chance to try out for these opportunities as well, and the best kid should get the chance? After all, I thought this was a performing arts type school, all these kids should have equal opportunities, regardless of who their parents are or who they know at the school.
