My 1-year old attends Temecula Montessori and has since she was only 6 months old. I've always felt shes under the best care, she's so loved, is learning so much, and loves her teachers. Miss Nina and Miss Kaye are the sweetest teachers and love my baby as if she is their own. They keep her busy with all the activities and I also love receiving her photos throughout the day via the app. I would recommend this place to anyone with an infant/ child. read more

this school seems great, once enrolled I realized quickly it is not. not sure if it is understaffed or the teachers just don't care. I have seen many staff members with displeased stares on there faces. the communication is not great. I constantly reach out and realize that because I do this my child gets the care I request. but that shouldn't be the case! all the children should receive the same care. I do believe the staff would benefit from staff training in regards to toddler personalities, how to teach different ages. I have run into staff having phones out in the open and not paying attention. Miss Kristy I can say has been great, Miss Lucy, and Miss Renuka you can feel and see their dedication and care for the work they do for the children. I do think the school has potential. (and we have been to quite a few due to moving and life changes) My daughter started her at 3 in the pre-school area and has continued thru, currently in Second grade. I highly recommend Temecula Montessori! My daughter was there for 5 years. Ms. Melinda and all the teachers are wonderful. They have been there since potty training to my daughter being able to read, write, add, and subtract. The teachers are attentive, caring, and always available when needed. Honestly, I would not recommend this school and feel terrible for letting my child stay here for the few months she did. We were here a few months and all this happened: -A staff member swung a door open, knocking my toddler to the ground. -They gave my child yogurt from someone else's lunch, despite me making it known that she was sensitive and me NOT ever sending it to school for her. -They lost one of her blankets after a staff member took it home. -They "threw out" her sunscreen because it was "expired" despite it being less than a month old and without telling me. Then, when I asked if it had been being applied (since it was the middle of summer), they told me it had. -They would refuse to give her the avocados I sent to school with her; likely because they didn't want to clean up the mess. This came after I specifically asked about it. -One day, according to her daily sheet, they didn't provide her with any snack/food from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. -A staff member continuously called my child the wrong name after I corrected her in person. -They allowed another child to repeatedly hit my child without recourse; saying nothing until I saw it myself. - My concerns weren't taken seriously when addressed with the School Director who always said "I'll take care of it." They were very flexible when it came time for me to pull her out at the last minute and gave me $25 cash to cover the missing blanket and sunscreen. However, how long had my child been allowed to sleep without it and how many days was she outside, skin burning, in the sun without it? I wanted this to be a great experience for us. Been bringing my daughter here for several months now and I can't say enough how happy I am with the staff, schedule, and learning and development that my little girl is now getting. Mrs. Cynthia, Mrs. Nina, and Mrs. Treasure are all so awesome and our little one loves them! They are always very caring, professional and involved with all the kids, and our experience has been better than I had hoped going into it. Mrs. Melinda (site director) is also very courteous, informative and professional as well! I'm a first time dad so I was very nervous about just leaving my little girl anywhere. After time has passed I'm not nervous at all anymore and every time we tell her we are "going to school" her face lights up with a huge smile. The principle was very nice, but very hard to get in touch with. The teacher for the 1st-3rd is terribly rude. She gave me 10min tour. Gave me no information. Being a grandmother, helping every which way I can, found the teachers non engaging, I donated a gallon of bleach, a sprayer, a can of Lysol and paper napkins never got a thank you or acknowledgement. This school and daycare is amazing!! There way of teaching is fresh and exciting!! I love Miss Lucy in my son's 3 year old class and Miss Nina and Miss Cynthia in the infant room! All 3 of my children have attended this school. I especially love the infant room. My 9 month old daughter smiles when i drop her off! That speaks volumes. I feel safe and secure knowing my children are in good hands. The security system also is a bonus along with the police station right down the street. This is the worst school I have ever experienced. It didn't matter what time or day I picked my child up she came home filthy with sand all over her clothes, in her hair and shoes. There have been multiple times they sent my daughter to the door with a runny nose and wet clothes on. I believe they have too many children to keep up with all. They are constantly giving the children the wrong water bottles of other children. It became so bad and I was tired of my child getting sick every other week, that I had to literally attach my child's picture on her water bottle in order for it not to get mixed up with other children. This school will also give your extra clothes that you bought for your child to other children and when you ask where are there belongings they will go and pretend to look for them and then come back and say they do not know! The staff also can't be trusted. My daughter had a very hard time with Ms. kristy and stated that she called her a BITCH ( I believe this because my daughter was only 2 at the time and repeated what she said word from word). Lastly, my child came home injured daily. She would have a scratch or large bump on her head and other parts of her body and when you ask what happened they would say you know kids play or she was playing with the rough group. Im like excuse me, at the age of 2 a rough group should not be a such thing. Needless to say my child is no longer under there care and she has advanced so much academically since leaving this school, and she also rarely gets sick. read more

The sweetness of the staff, the relationship building between the staff, kiddos and parents is sincere. When I have had an issue (ie. a lost item) it has been rectified quickly and professionally. Our 4-year-old daughter has been attending Temecula Montessori for just over one year. After researching and visiting several preschools in the area, I selected Temecula Montessori based on location, quality of staff, and - most importantly - the demeanor, behavior, and intellectual aptitude of the students. Since beginning here, my daughter has progressed through three different classes where she benefitted significantly from the respective teacher's style of teaching, disciplining, and encouraging including: potty-training, learning colors and numbers, how to write basic words including her name, and the beginnings of reading. An added perk is her ability and enthusiasm for folding laundry! :) The staff (director and teachers) is very accessible via phone and e-mail, and communications between staff and parents are clear and organized. My son started there when he was 3.5 and was reading within weeks. I toured about 10 preschools in the area before giving Montessori a shot and they had the best prices as well as the only true curriculum for young children I could reasonably find. My daughter attended the montessori at jefferson/overland in temecula. Great school, Mrs. Melinda was great, loved her and the staff. My daughter learned so much. She went there from preschool to kindergarten, and they prepared her for 1st grade and beyond. They had her doing phonics and reading by kindergarten. The children had uniforms, it was great. Amazing curriculum. My only dislike was the location, hence the 4 stars. I think it is time for them to find a more child friendly location as it appears they have been there a while and its a little rough over there. read more

I am always amazed at how wonderful Temecula Montessori is. My son has been a student at Temecula Montessori for 5 years. This school has played such an integral role in my son's life and education. Their curriculum spans areas such as social studies, science, art, music, and math. I called several times for more information and the person Melinda ? who answered would always tell me she would email me the information. Finally I got a response to my email inquiry that I had sent out 22 days later!!! Literally responding to my original email !!! AND i have the emails to prove it. I actually went quickly for a tour and walked out. the infant room was not clean and out of order. From the outside it looks great but the place doesnt look great and the customer service really made this an easy decision. My husband and I decided to put our daughter into preschool at the age of 3. She is an only child and she needed the interaction of seeing how other 3 year old kids behave and play. We were able to take her in for a Trial Day with one of the classes. On her own, my daughter went to the 3-4 year old class. She had such a Great Trial Day that she was super excited to start going to school. Since starting school in May, my daughter has started to write her own name, she no longer asks for the teachers help, she says she is a "Big Girl now and can do it on her own." All of the teachers are Wonderful and super friendly. I Love the weekly progress reports the parents get about how the kids are doing in class. I'm so thankful that the school (Miss Melinda and staff) are flexible when it comes to making up a missed day during the week. I'm very Happy that my husband and I decided to put our daughter into preschool when we did. She has thrived tremendously and she will be moving up to the Pre-K class once school is back in session. She has talked about going "upstairs like the Big Kids" for a while now, and she is Super Excited to finally be making the transition upstairs with the Big Kids. Thank you TMA! read more

My oldest daughter spent almost 3 years here and it has been nothing but an incredibly positive experience. The teachers are outstanding and care about the childrens development. Our two boys, aged 2 & 4 had so much anxiety about going to school and were total homebodies, and the staff at Temecula Montessori did literally everything they could to make the boys -- and us! -- more comfortable. Teachers were incredibly accommodating to their unique needs and our ever-changing schedules, never judging and always supporting our parenting. We truly appreciated that they took a one-size-DOESN'T-fit-all approach to childcare, and, in doing so, created the most warm, safe and compassionate environment we could ask for our kids. My boy's tenure at this little gem of a school and daycare was far beyond my expectations. He went in nearly potty trained with separation anxiety and 2 years later came out reading, understanding numbers and a confident, social being, who is remarkably self sufficient. The richness of this school encourages an individual, child centered pace that is loving, creative, instructional, and fun. They have wonderful field trips, interesting in house quest programs, parent participation events, winter and summer talent shows all providing layers of potential growth for the children. At one point I had a concern about my child's ability to focus and take instruction. I took my angst to Melinda Sones, the director, who calmly and expertly took me through the pieces of his development assuaging my worry. She also opened the live video feed of him sitting in his classroom, working diligently through his lesson. I can not recommend a school/daycare more highly. Did a walk through of this preschool and I was over whelmed. The director didn't seem even engaging. The down stairs is an open concept daycare. They had 3 different class rooms all playing different songs, it was over whelmed. We went up stairs where the older kids are at, the AC was off and it's was quite warm. The director acted as if it was an accident if wasn't on. Didn't seem like that. Needless to say I didn't enroll my child here. read more

My children, b/g twins have attended this school/Temecula Montessori Academy from preschool/age 2 through 2nd grade/age 7. It is a wonderful school and has a loving atmosphere. I can honestly say everyone there is like family to us. My kids have learned so much and are very advanced in all areas of curriculum for their age. I especially love the concept of Montessori and how it brings out the individual best in each child. I noticed in another review concern about location. I'd like to mention that the school has made many improvements inside and out in the last year, including brand new playground equipment and the addition of an infant/toddler room. In any case I've always loved the vintage feel of the buiding's architecture. My kids are moving on to another school for 3rd grade and we are SO SAD to be saying goodbye now. I only wish the grades went higher so they could still keep attending! We will miss Ms Melinda and all their teachers very much. But we'll be back for sure for summer break! read more

Both our boys attended this school. Miss Devi was their teacher. She is a very kind, fun and loving teacher. She treats each differently based on their kids personal goals, which is given by the kids parents. I would never forgive myself if I didn't post this review. I was pressured to write a positive review by Melinda, the director, while my child was still enrolled in the school and since I've seen the way the teachers treat children based on how they feel about the parents I knew it was in my child's best intersst to write a good review. I promise this is worth reading and it will be more honest than most reviews because a lot of parents were put under same pressure as I was. I overheard and watched these teachers mistreat the children at least 5 times a day every single day. This ain't an exaggeration. The staff is genuinely AWFUL here. I must point out that miss Dave, Dare and especially Miss Renuka and Miss Jessica were the ONLY reasons I allowed enrollment to continue. The teachers would never watch the children. My child was often hit and bit and had things thrown at them from other children at the school and the school would never address it. But when my child did something back I was contacted immediately and blamed. Now I will always take responsibility for my children and teach them how to behave but my point here is it was the school that did this. I have my child enrolled in another school now, another Montessori and things are drastically different. So much better. Let's talk about the homework. There is not a single study that suggests children under second grade benefit from homework. However, this school would often send my child home with 30+ pages a week! I felt that family time was much more important and when discussed it was said to me it's non negotiable. This out way too much stress and pressure on my child and actually was counterproductive. My child is a natural reader, but when books were put in front my child freaked out. The pressure was unreal. I feel sick for allowing my child to attend this school for the years I allowed it. I always felt like I was the problem or maybe the way I approached things but in reality it was the school and the director, Melinda, along with some horrible horrible staff members that were truly the issue. I will admit I have seen some children thrive at this school and excel. But for the most part children hated going there. They were always stressed and unhappy. Oh and Can I just mention that this school will legit milk you dry of your funds?! Why on earth am I paying $25 for a clown visit one Friday and $15 for a slice of pizza the next? Melinda will nickel and dime you to DEATH! This is the worst place for a child to go. And like I said I had to post this review or I wouldn't ever forgive myself. This is an honest review that I am posting over a year AFTER I took my child out of the school. We don't even live within 200 miles of this school anymore so I hold no reason to badmouth it for my own benefit. read more

I "attach" parented my daughter, as many would say, for almost 3 years so the transition from stay at home with mom all day to going to school for 10 hours a day was huge. I wouldn't ask for a better place to send my girl because this was it. She needs a lot of love and attention and she definitely needs patience and guidance that isn't harsh. The teachers here offer it, I couldn't find this anywhere else in Temecula. Anyways, this is a wonderful place to send your children. Summer activities are all through the months for kids, field trips, hot lunch option, little parties etc that the kids enjoy through the year. She is happy here which is a relief on me because I know she's taken care of and not being scolded for simple things or snapped at for doing something wrong. I've seen teachers snap at kids at other schools and it really bothers me. Sharp tones and an angry attitude towards innocent kids is just sad but not here, so I am just really thankful for that. The teaching methods are visibly effective. She's learning a lot and I'm really impressed. Did I mention they potty trained her?! Hands down, the best preschool we could have chosen for our son. The staff there is so caring, nurturing, and involved with the kids. My son started out in the infant room with Ms. Rhonda, moved up to Ms. Kristy's and is soon to head out to Ms. Ranuka's room (once he turns 3). I feel that academically he's doing great. At the age of 2 he knows how to sort, he know his numbers, colors, shapes, he draws straight lines and circles, holds the pencil appropriately, capable of using scissors, they are learning their ABC's, they paint, do crafts, the list goes on and on. Throughout the room you will notice that everything has a place, and once they are done with their activity they are responsible for the cleanup of their workspace. Rugs are put away and the activity used must be placed back where it belongs. The areas are kept clean daily, and major disinfecting happens on weekly basis. Apparently the outdoor equipment is truly fun, he never wants to go home. I feel communication is good between parents and teachers. The Director, Ms. Melinda is understanding and flexible to each child/families needs. In the infant room we fill out information on our child every morning so Ms. Rhonda knows our child's schedule, mood, and necessities. In the toddler room, we are given a daily report on our child's behaviors, potty training, moods, and activity they work on that day. Signs are posted in the waiting room that inform parents of events throughout the calendar, usually in big bright poster paper. Tuition has gone up, but still what I would consider to be fair. Although I would like to see a bit more social interaction activities amongst the kids, I do recognize that they are tots and they are also encouraged to learn at their own pace, in a Montessori environment. All in all, a great place to learn and have fun with people who care for your kids when you need a home away from home. read more

My son spends 5 days a week here and always comes home super happy every day (some days not even wanting to leave due to having so much fun). He began going to Temecula Montessori when he was just a little over a year old and prior to that was at another childcare facility.
