This place doesn't look like much. And to be honest when i walked up on it I was a little worried because it reminded me of Roberts Test Only Smog Check. Which was a complete joke. Don't even consider that place. Anyway, I wish I knew his name because he was working his tail off. When we walked in it was obvious he was slammed and he warned it could take an hour. No big deal, we needed our truck tested and we had some extra time. The man was very professional and courteous. We walked around the Toyota dealership for bit and went and checked the status after 35-40 minutes. He was wrapping it up and said he just needed to disconnect and check us out. What even made this more amazing is it seemed like he was doing everything all alone. He was hustling all over the place to get his customers taken care of. That's a way to earn some business! Don't bring older cars! Sorry- I brought a couple cars here in the past and they passed because they were newer cars. Recently, I brought my daughters older (1999) truck and it didn't pass. I'm not faulting the fact that it didn't pass but I upset that the technician knew he was going to fail the truck the minute the hood was raised and saw an aftermarket air intake but proceeded to give the test instead of letting me know so I can fix and have a better chance of passing. He said everything else passed except the visual inspection which he noticed immediately. I still paid the price of the full smog and then was told I could get a small discount when I returned. I didn't go back after installed a CARB approved aftermarket air intake. I went next door to Excellent Auto Care instead and they were very nice and you can find coupons for them online as well. read more

I came by for a smog check about 3 weeks ago and it was probably the best smog experience I've ever had. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. They had no hesitation when I asked about price matching to Groupon which I greatly appreciate seeing that I lost my job last year due to COVID and so every dollar counts. There is a small waiting room with a TV and they are so friendly. Couple of tips: beware of your GPS routing you into the very back of the Acura dealership and be sure to have cash on you to avoid a credit card transaction fee if the total is under $35. I'm new to the area, but I'll definitely be recommending Temecula Smog to neighbors and friends. read more

I went on a Wednesday about 10:45 thinking middle of the week, middle of the day would be less busy. No. This is a one man show. He checks people in, checks people out, drives the cars around back, runs the tests. I was there about an hour and a half in a tiny waiting area with a large TV where you are forced to make small talk with the other customers lol I had five separate conversations which made the time pass quickly. So I took the homie for his biennial smog check. I wasn't worried about passing or not, just about pricing. The last time I was here I remember paying nearly $60, so I wasn't hoping for a repeat. I pull up and notice that the same technician that ran the diagnostic on my car two years ago is still working there. It's hard for me to forget a face, especially one that's missing teeth. When you're missing more than one tooth, fingerprints are no longer necessary as a form of identification. So the car passes with flying colors and it's now time to pony up. The total comes to $52--not bad, but not great either. I asked the owner if he had a loyalty program. He said yes, but he just recently bought the place so he wouldn't be able to give me a discounted rate until 2011. He mentioned that the previous owner had shot himself and didn't keep any records of his business transactions. I thought this was very interesting segue. They are not the least expensive by $$, yet they are probably the most responsive, courteous, and fast in their business. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I will definitely return.
