I highly recommend Temecula Smog. We've taken our cars in for years at this smog check place. Excellent customer service and very professional and friendly staff. There right next to the Toyota dealer on Ynez with the big yellow smog check sign half way down the row of businesses. Ray was our attendant and he greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. Beware of "Bait & Switch". He told me since I was a repeat customer that I would receive $10 off (which is the discount he offers to everyone on Yelp) and when I reviewed my invoice he only gave me a $5 discount. I was going to promote him at my work because we have a lot of walk in automotive customers but I don't think I will now that I see how he does business. 3 stars for the speedy service on a Saturday. UPDATE: Peter the Manager called me and said he would fix the error. I have updated my rating to reflect the correction. Josh is a good guy and probably was just having a bad day. They went above and beyond to find reasons to fail my diesel truck. The strange thing is I have used Temecula Smog several times in the past, and every time it has passed. No changes to my truck between the last time it passed and its current state. Either Temecula Smog got caught doing something they should not have, and are now ultra paranoid, or they are just unqualified to perform smog test services. I went here because they have a Groupon promotion and it was NOT WORTH IT. If you just got your car fixed, don't come here because if your car doesn't pass the test, you'll still have to pay the fee compared to others that you don't have to pay until your car passes the smog test. I recently got my hybrid battery car replaced and took the car straight to get it tested and it failed. I obviously didn't know that it will be an issue so if you're not sure that your car will pass, then go somewhere else that will guarantee you that you don't have to pay until it passes. Save your money! Here's an UPDATE on my review. 2 days after I posted this, I received a call from the owner HARASSING me about my review and basically getting mad at me for writing in my opinion and experience. Save yourself some headache and frustration. Go somewhere else! Not worth it at all!! read more

Poor communication skills, took 3x as long as they claim, and no consideration for my time. Incident 1: I called ahead to see how busy they were, and they told me that there's hardly anyone ahead of me. When I drove in, they told me the machine they use for older vehicles has been broken and will not get fixed for another two or three days. The guy on the phone could have asked me my vehicles year before making me drive down there. Strike one. Incident 2: after driving there so only be disappointed, he told me he would call me when their machine gets fixed. I never got the call. I have to call in a few days later to ask. Strike two. Incident 3: I called to see if the machine they use for old Vehicles is fixed. He said it was. When I got there, he told me that normally they don't take older vehicles after a certain time, but he'd squeeze me in (what a nice guy). Strike 3. Took over an hour to do the job when I was told it would be about 20 minutes. read more

My experience at Temecula Smog was fantastic! Fast, friendly and affordable service made it a breeze to get in and out super quickly. Check online for a Groupon and simply tell them about it when you get there instead of buying it on Groupon.
