Beyond expectations. I was looking for the impossible: somewhere wheel chair accessible with parking, washer & dryer in the unit, and close to Kaiser, where my partner needed 10 days of radiation to get him on his feet again.
Enter Eric, from Air BnB, who rents some of Tellus's apartments. We wound up in a lovely top floor apartment with 10-foot ceilings and a view of the Space Needle! I love the floor to ceiling windows; our space was light & bright. Simply beautiful! All the amenities were modern and smoothly operational; we'd brought a TV to computer cable and found the flat screen TV a wonderful diversion.
We received our mail & packages in locked boxes just above the entry lobby; so mail arrived securely. Though my partner has no handicapped license through the state (he's been bed bound only 1.5 months), Tellus gave us wheelchair parking, anyway. Result? _ Our days of med treatment went like clockwork: our apartment is steps from the elevator; and our mini-van is just outside the Parking Level door. We were arriving at the hospital 15 minutes after exiting the apartment!
Such ease! This stay was like a vacation and made the difficulty of medical complexities so much easier to handle. I couldn't have been more pleased. I walked to the grocery (QFC, 15 minute walk each way) or had items "InstaCart'ed" from the Fremont CoOp, just a 10-15 minute drive. The deli below was handy for snacks and light suppers; plus they sell soups, wine, and other snacks.
The management was friendly and accommodating, as were the deli staff. And our Air BnB hosts, Eric & Devon, bent over backwards to meet our special needs. I loved this stay and wouldn't hesitate to come again.
PS Something to note in hot weather: these apartments are not air conditioned. And though Seattle is a temperate climate, I was glad we brought our electric fan. read more
