Tonite the food was SPLENDID. We don't like chips but we do love guacamole. This is a poblano pepper with spinach & chicken in queso, rice, quac and my Fritos.

Took my oldest to lunch last week, and since she's in the 51st and Lewis area, we tried out Tello's Mexican Grill at 58th and Lewis. TLDR: Friendly folks, great food and reasonable prices. Turned out I had my oldest and youngest for lunch, so we had an assortment. We arrived right at noon and were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered along with queso while the usual chips and salsa made their way to the table. The oldest went with the Speedy Gonzalez plate, which looked quite good. The youngest went with (surprise surprise) a taco salad. Once I saw they had chile verde on the menu, my mind was made up. Orders were placed and we thoroughly enjoyed the queso, chips and salsa while we briefly waited for our entree. I didn't taste the daughters' dishes, but I they did enjoy them greatly. As for mine, it was easily one of the top 3 chile verdes I've had in town. Plenty of slow cooked, succulent pork in a properly done verde sauce. Beans and rice were also well executed. Service was outstanding, with everything being taken care of almost invisibly. I'd dined here back when it was Arizona Cafe, but I'm not sure if the menu/staff were new or the same, it's been that long. In any case, Tello's has it going on. Great food, great service and prices that don't break the bank at all. Lunch for three was under $40, and that's great for what we got. I only took the one picture because we were busy visiting.

I loved the service at Tello's. The waitress was so nice and friendly. The food was good. They really didn't have to give me that much chips for one person. The chimichangas were good without the cheese topping. All the sides were also good. The booths were not well cleaned. There were chip fragments on the seat. This restaurant offers discounts on cash back apps which is another plus.

To start with, the space inside is nice. Spacious. Everyone was friendly from the moment we walked in. Our chips and salsa were delivered promptly. We ordered the $3 house margarita. It was really good. It wasn't overloaded with sweet and sour that makes it look like glow in the dark acid from the sewer. Nothing special about the chip but the salsa was good. Had a nice flavor was just a hint of heat. The pork in the chili verde was tender and not fatty. Great flavor to the salsa verde. Tacos de carnitas came with cilantro and onions. Now I like onions but there was a bit too many. They overpowered the pork. Beans and rice were ok. Nothing to write home about. And oh, queso. Very good. I'll go back if for no other reason than the margarita that wasn't chartreuse.

We love meeting up at Tello's with cousins and friends. We were introduced to the spot about a year ago and it's never been a disappointment. I have tried almost every margarita on the menu and this time I tried the coronarita for the second time. It is TASTY. Just might be my themed drink for the summer festivities honestly. The service was fairly quick this visit and they usually get orders correct so they get a good grade in my book. The atmosphere is cool, not too loud and pretty spacious. As much as we go it has never just been packed to the brim where we've had to wait a long time. Tello's is the perfect spot to get Mexican food and just a great, if not better, than a high profile chain restaurant.

Still good. Broke out of our tostaguac rut and got chicken fajitas. Monday special for just $7. Also $3 margaritas on Monday. Got excellent service from Yanet. Place is nicely decorated with Mexican art.

Great menu and a large selection of margaritas plus wait staff is excellent. During cold weather get a table by the big fireplace!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Tello's! I had their house Frozen margarita, which was perfect! My husband had a Modelo on draft and we shared a small order of queso to start along with the complimentary chips and salsa. The entrees were taco salad with shredded chicken for me and the quesabirria tacos for the hubs. Everything was wonderful! And the service was great. The chef/owner brought our food and visited with us about how he makes his birria tacos. So nice! Definitely going to be a restaurant we frequent in Tulsa!

This is my third time here. They have awesome service, Max is an amazing server. Very professional. and knowledgeable about the menu. Max is always kind and welcoming to me and my large family. The food is always great, from the nachos & queso to the carnitas. This is a great family oriented place but also great for a casual date night or night for margaritas. Super clean, and the decor makes for a great experience.

Serverhe never said his name. But, he does seem to be pretty attentive. Ambiance Its a local Mexican restaurant, complete with Hispanic music. Nice. Food The chips and salsa came out right away. The chips were NOT warm nor hot. The salsa didn't have a lot of flavor. The beef and chicken tops were good. The chicken was definitely better. The fajita grande quesadilla was good. The chicken was quite good. Overall It's okay . Tastes pretty much like every other place like it. Military No

Formerly Arizonas is now Tellos Mexican restaurant. They did an upgrade inside and it's very nice. The menu is huge! The chili Colorado was good!! The queso and top shelf guacamole were also very flavorful. The guac was fresh as well! Our server was attentive to us and we will def be back!

My mom brought my boys and I here for lunch one day and i was truly impressed! Their guacamole was out of this world fresh and delicious! Nothing was too spicy or soggy in it what so ever. The chips and salsa was complimentary and was very tasty. They weren't overly salted. Everything was so authentic which is so hard to find in Oklahoma. So much Tex mex not enough authentic Mexican food. They just got their liquor license and had a bar i noticed if it wasn't lunch I'd be ordering a margarita to give those a try also! The lunch portions were very large and very affordable!! I got the shredded chicken lunch tacos and was very full afterwards. I ate every bite of my meal and my one year old son inhaled their rice like he hasn't had a meal in a week. Service was prompt and alert we were never left with an empty cup or a need. I also loved that they offered authentic Mexican cokes yummm!

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

The menu features many Mexican food favorites. Enchiladas, burritos, tacos and more. They're cooked well and served in large portions by a helpful server. A note - some of the dishes are plain and include a protein charge. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm okay with it if it's explained. I was confused during my visit because my enchiladas listed a $2.50 protein charge, but the protein charge was for each enchilada not the plate, so my three enchilada plate was $7.50 more than it was listed because I asked for chicken. I don't necessarily feel cheated, however I was surprised when the server gave me the bill. $2.50 is one thing. $7.50 is a lot more.

I've heard of the highly lauded 918 Maples Tacos & Cantina many times since I moved back so I finally decided to try it on August 28th, 2025. Since then, I've experienced 918 Maples on different occasions and I'd say that it deserves the high praise. I've eaten at 918 Maples atleast 4 times, twice at the food truck (4931 S Union Ave.) and twice at this location. On 8/28, I arrived around 5:50pm. The walls are filled with color & different decorations, from murals to Latin-American art as well as TV's behind the bar for entertainment. The area is very home-like, compact, with just enough space for walking lanes. There's only one booth while the rest of the seating is either tables or at the bar. The host podium is at the door immediately upon entrance, I sat at the bar. Their menus are large but not overwhelming. On Tuesdays, tacos are $2 each. This doesn't include Birria, fish or Shrimp which are $3 or $4 on Tuesdays. My server was Diego, great guy! I ordered 5 Tacos: 2 Birria, 1 chicken 1 Carne Asada and 1 El Pastor. I also ordered a Paloma and a small queso. The meal comes with chips & Salsa, brought out immediately. Their chips are thicker and their salsa is mild. Add a little salt, good to go! I'm a fan of white queso but I particularly enjoyed theirs, worth the $2. The food came out within 10mins, not long at all. Two ramekins of salsa & 4 tacos. Each taco was amazing individually. The el pastor had crispy edges on the meat, the carne asada was soft & delicate while the birria was to DIE for. Only criticism is that the chicken was a little too salty but not terrible overall. As I mentioned, I ordered 5 tacos, queso & a Paloma but only received 4 tacos. I wasn't upset about the paloma, I could do without. But, I was a little uneasy about being shorted 1 taco, especially since I paid for 5. However, I didn't fret. I paid the bill & praised the staff because they deserve it! Since then, I've returned once or twice. Each time, usually on a Tuesday, the space is decently filled which a sign of a well-run & good quality establishment and the food is just as good. I consistently ordered tacos but I would gladly try their Queso Chicken, Rustic Quesadilla, or Birria Pizza. I've had their tacos at their food truck as well and, though the ambiance isn't comparable, the service is sweeter & the food is just as good. Bummer that their food truck doesn't do discounted tacos on Tuesdays. Photos here are from 8/26/25, 9/16/25 and 1/6/26. Had it not been for the forgotten taco, this would be a FULL 5-Star review!
