We are on a mission to find the best food around town. We pass by here daily and decided to stop in and give it a try. The server and service were good but we felt a little rushed. There wasn't that many people in the restaurant so I didn't understand the hurry. We ordered one of each street tacos, chicken, beef, and pork. Me and familia came to try dinner here for the first time. I thought this place was pretty good. Their chips and queso were awesome. The queso really stood out to me; it was great! I got the bean and cheese burrito. It was pretty good. The only down side is it didn't come with a side of rice and beans. So, I ate my brothers rice. It was very delicious. The service was great here. Our waiter, Domingo, was very nice and helpful. The inside was clean to; except for the bathrooms. The bathrooms were not clean. There was dirt all over the floor. The Real Taco is so legit. It's looks like a hole in the wall (so you know it's the real deal). I got the 3 tacos combo and chose fish, grilled shrimp, and birria taco. All super delicious. I recommend putting some avocado sauce to go with the birria taco and also the beef dip that goes with it. The combo also came with rice and beans. The rice is one of the top Mexican rice around. Some restaurants shockingly make them terrible, but not The Real Taco! Beans are smooth and flavorful. Wife got the brisket quesadillas and holy smokes - it was amazing. In OK for a work trip. Wanted Mexican food but after living in San Diego for thirty years I am a little skeptical when people tell me their spot is the best. This place isn't fancy at all and the service isn't over the top but the tacos were amazing! I had fish, shrimp and a birria. Review of Glenpool location: we really enjoyed this place! They have great hot sauces in a buffet type area that has onions, cilantro, limes etc that you can however much you want. The green hot sauce was my favorite! They also give you chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious and was medium to hot. But had great flavor. I loved the chips because they were thick and not thin to where they broke easily. We got asada taco and quesadilla and pastor taco and quesadilla. The asada was really good but I was a bit underwhelmed with the pastor. It was really greasy and I didn't really like the taste of the seasoning. Service was fast and prices were great! This is my second time ordering takeout here, and the quality of food is so delicious and consistent. For 3 street tacos, it's around $10 or less. But most importantly, the meats, tortilla, salsas, and sides are so well-seasoned. Each taco is packed with meats, onions, and cilantro, which ultimately make it quite filling. I recommend trying the birria tacos. The two menu items that didn't suit me were the asada tacos and tamales. I had expected thicker chunks of beef for the asada tacos, but it was more like ground beef. For the tamales, they weren't as moist and soft as I liked them to be. For the level of business I see them do when driving by, I guess tonight was a miss food wise or I just don't see the hype. I simply cannot fathom why I'm rushed in restaurants here in Bixby. Date of check in 4/7/2023 Been out camping this week, didn't catch any fish. Back in town today. Need Mexican food and for some reason craving "Fish Tacos." We haven't been to The Real Taco, one of Bixby's best Mexican restaurants in a while. I asked the owner how the fish tacos were and the immediate response was "the best on earth." Naturally he would say that. What else would he have said "they are terrible and cause cancer?" Well, they were good. I haven't eaten that many fish tacos, but the best on earth may be a bit of a stretch. With my limited exposure to this version of a taco, I would only be willing to commit to "they are the best in Bixby." This brings up a new challenge for me. Where are the best fish tacos in the Tulsa area? Do You know? This is not a menu item that is in high demand and dominates the OkieMex restaurant scene. In my travels across NE OK I have not encountered a single restaurant with a sign outside that proclaims it to have the best fish tacos in Oklahoma. The winner in my mind would have to have grilled fish instead of fried fish and not served from a food truck. The search is on. My wife went with her favorite, two delicious tamales. read more

Cons: Minus a star for not having tap water. What a scam. I heard several people asking for tap water; and when that wasn't an option, they ended up ordering pricey drinks. Mexican cokes for $4 or margaritas. No one opted for the $2 bottled watered. House salsa not good, but the salsas on the salsa bar are great. They kept talking up their guacamole, but it was so plain/boring. Tasted just like mashed up avocados. The guy at the table next to ours said he liked it.
