Cost: -They charge $150 an hour for 4 guys and a large truck. Our move from the city to Gwinnett took about 6-7 hrs. We paid about $1200 for our move. -They automatically charge 1 hour for transportation to and from their headquarters, so that will be added to the moving hours and does not include their actual drive time of your items to the new move-in location. This is pretty standard. (TIP: Make sure to avoid those places that want to know your inventory or the weight of your boxes. They pull bait and switch tactics and no one on earth knows their inventory or the weight of their items, so I specifically sought out a service with a flat hourly rate). -Overall, spending money on professional movers will be some of the best money that you will ever spend. Imagine the cost if you injure your back or the weeks of time versus hours that it will take to do this on your own or with your friends. -Make sure to budget for tipping your movers at least $20 each. These guys bust their butts more than anyone. Also, keep bottled water and snacks handy for them and make sure to bring toilet paper to the new location since they will need to use the restroom. Pros: -Our point of contact Jeff was super responsive and professional. -The guys that showed up got the job down and we tipped them all. They didn't slack off at all. -We have hardwood floors in the new place and we didn't want scratches. These guys are definite pros and they automatically wrap furniture, lay cardboard down on floors, and listen when you mark certain boxes and fragile. They knew what to do and we didn't feel the need at all to get involved in their process. -There were no broken items and not one scratch on the hardwoods or any smudges on the walls! That is impressive. Cons: -The only minor con that I observed is that the movers stopped to fill up for gas on our dime, once they were in transit with our items. Since we already paid for an hour of travel time, I expected their truck to be prefilled and ready to go before they showed up at our door. Unlike stopping for gas with a car, it takes a bit of time for truck to maneuver into a station and fill up and we paid for this time.

He broke down the pricing, the driving and everything needed to make the appointment. He said I sounded pretty young based on my voice and gave me some advice about the move. It felt like I was speaking with my Dad, which is a really good thing for me! He went over the benefits of hiring them, such as performing routine background checks on all their employees, their employees are full-time - not contracted and they've been in business for 30 years. I didn't end up booking the appointment because a group of friends and family volunteered to help us move. But if I didn't have friends to help, I would totally book them today!

I reached out to The Movers via Yelp to request an estimate for their services. The owner, Malak, immediately contacted me with pretty good prices. On the day of the move, The Movers arrived on time and moved quick & efficiently. It was a three man group, so one guy was wrapping and taping everything while the other two loaded the truck. The one thing I appreciated about these guys was that they wrapped everything before it left the apartment. Good Customer Service Moment: So I'm guessing during the transit, my flat screen was damaged inside the truck. The tv was showing heavy discoloration. I was around the guys most of the move, as I was loading my car as well, so I didn't recall seeing them drop it. I contacted Malak about the damage, he apologized and also gave step by step of how his team manages televisions during moves. He still reassured that he wanted to do what he could in his power to make it right. He eventually suggested replacing the television with something similar and that was suitable. A week after the move, Malak arrived with a LG smart TV that was better than the TV that was broken. Much appreciated! Overall, I'd definitely recommend Malak and his team for a move. Their ad on Yelp says moving starts at $65, but when I called to get a quote it was $100/hr with a 2hr minimum. So, I asked why their ad says services start at $65--I was only moving a bed, chest and dresser--and the owner said, "Because we had to post a price on Yelp. $65 is only for Seniors who may need one small piece of furniture moved". Minus 1-star: They put a dent in my brand new wall while carrying up an empty chest one minute into moving my furniture. Then, when I pointed it out, one of the movers tried to blame it on me and say the HOLE in my wall must have already been there. Lol... Um, NO! BTW, based on all of the reviews, this company seems to always break at least one thing while moving. +1-star: The owner quickly offered to fix my wall or give me a discount on my final total. -1-star: The owner acted like movers put holes in walls all of the time, as he asked for a picture of the damage and said, "Oh that's not a big deal! It's fixable". I've moved over five times (two being interstate moves) and I've never had a mover break something or put a dent in my wall. This is NOT NORMAL!! The Movers should definitely be more careful. TOTAL STARS: 3 WOULD I USE THEM AGAIN? I'm not sure... I definitely wouldn't use them if I was moving something expensive.
