From the moment you walk in, the energy hits you. The festive front and large bar set the tone right away--it practically invites you to kick things off with a tequila and just enjoy the night. One of the highlights was the tableside Guacamole Al Molcajete. Freshly made right in front of us, and absolutely delicious. The chips were warm, colorful, and clearly made fresh--always a great sign. For the main course, we ordered shrimp fajitas, enchiladas rancheras, and chimichangas. The fajitas came sizzling with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, along with all the sides--guacamole, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, sour cream, yellow rice, refried beans, and flour tortillas. The shrimp had a nice char and great flavor. Everything was generous in portion--we ended up with more food than we could finish. Between the lively atmosphere, attentive, service, , flavorful food, and fun overall vibe, this place delivers more than just a meal--it's an experience. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We were a party of 9, all anxious to experience the new changes. We were Delighted! We were warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant and our reserved table was ready. Melvin, our skilled waiter introduced himself and ensured we were all comfortable. Fresh, delectable, Salsa and Chips were generously placed at our table and proved to be the perfect accompaniment to the large, very tasty and refreshing original and strawberry margaritas we ordered. Roberto, Joselyn and Finn were most hospitable and periodically checked on us to ensure we were enjoying every offering. The Ceviche appetizer could have been a meal, plentiful with lots of shrimp, avocado, onions and peppers - Oh, So Delicious. In fact, the Best We Ever Had! Our table had a great variety of entrees which elicited lots of oohs and ahhs. The Seafood Crepes and Tres Amigos were two of the many standouts. Even the rice and beans were special - extra creamy and yummy! As delish as all the desserts looked, we didn't get to sample any because we were all invited for coffee and holiday treats back home. Just one of the reasons we Can't Wait To Go Back!

We ordered variety of food including guac and chips , side rice and beans, plantains and chicken quesadilla. Food was good. Good flavors. Just wish a little more flavor and spice. It was good. The chipotle gave the chicken a tasty amount of heat without being overwhelming. It was perfectly spiced. Only thing was that it was a bit expensive for what we received. My addition of guacamole added $1.50 to the overall price of about $12.00 for 2 soft-shelled making it $13.50 just for mine. The tacos are a regular size, not large. I just want you to be aware of this. I would still eat here though and left sufficiently satiated. They have a good variety of drinks and offer an ample variety of food on their menu. They even offer desserts. The staff seemed friendly enough. The eatery is clean, cozy, with cute decor. There were outlets close to our table which is nice. I'd recommend giving this place a try.

My girlfriend and I decided to share the very generous portion of paella. The rice in the paella was absolutely delicious and there was a good assortment of seafood. My only criticism if any was that it was a little bit oily as we worked our way down to the bottom of the dish. We ate plenty each and had plenty to take home. We then decided to try the desserts. I had the bread pudding or Tres Luce (spelling?) and she had the flan. Both were delicious but unfortunately, towards the bottom of each, we discovered that they had just recently been frozen. They hadn't quite thawed out at the bottom! The service was excellent - warm and inviting. I wish I could've given an extra star, but between the frozen deserts decide and the oily paella I couldn't.

Their skirt steak and lomo saltado are amazing, shrimp burrito very tasty, and you absolutely must end with the churros. My biggest complaint is service is slow which is strange because I've never seen it busy and it can get frustrating waiting around for someone. And though the decor and space is really nice, the lack of people doesn't make for a fun and/or lively atmosphere which I find really important for any restaurant experience.

The calamari we ordered as an appetizer was excellent, we were all impressed with how crispy it was and the family sized was the perfect portion. I ordered Chicken Capriccioso and found it to be just ok, it was a nice portion but could've used more flavor. Even though it was crowded for Mother's Day it wasn't too loud and we had no problem hearing each other. Overall a decent meal, would recommend if you're in the Briarcliff area.

I did not know this happened but I wish I did. A manager by the name of Jose, told my in laws last minute the room I wanted to given to another party because "they paid more". I also had a onsie station the vendor was there and she needed a chord to put together the onsie station. I learned after my shower that the manager Jose was extremely rude to the point that she wanted to walk out. My father in law was able to calm the situation. My onsie lady stated she had never experienced this ever at a venue. I wish I would have known. The manager Jose does not seem to know how to actually be a manager. He sounds like a person that is too power hungry and does not know actually how to one talk to people and two, actually manage a restaurant. What happened was very unprofessional and not right. I will never give my money to Tierra Rustica ever again after this event happened. To Jose you really need to learn how to speak to people and learn communication skills, because it sounds like you lack them to the extreme. You do not succeed in a business with your type of personality.
