Their ice creams are bombskeez. Pistachio ice cream is crazy good. Cheap and delicious. Can't beat it.

Best nieve limón in town! It's so worth coming in on a hot day for a refreshing Mexican ice cream. Everything here is so delicious.

Honestly my favorite Salt & Straw location! Lots of space and GREAT AC haha…read more Mekhi was so delightful and really helped me find a good flavor, the Apple Cider Donuts, because I usually just get the double fold vanilla. The rest of the staff was super nice as well.

There's even a bathroom in there for customers -- brilliant !! The variety of flavors is pretty standard, but they provide their monthly specials and some last chance ice cream flavors. I got the Daisy Chains limited edition flavor, as well as the apple cider donuts flavor from the September apple series. They both complemented each other fabulously since the Daisy Chains flavor has pink frosting and sugar cookies in a vanilla base, whereas the apple cider donuts flavor has a lot of cinnamon and some caramel adorned inside. I also have routinely skipped out on their waffle cones -- a crime because they taste superb and smell even better. It holds a surprisingly generous amount of ice cream and doesn't melt so long as you stay inside or are not in hot weather.

The place is super small and no line, but the flavors were plentiful. I forget what they do, but you can get a combo of flavors in a single scoop. Cookies n cream and cookie dough are my two favorites, so I got that combo. It was super yummy. No wonder the place has so many positive reviews on Yelp!!

So an absolute eternity ago, like a decade ago, there was a Paradis in Belmont Shore in Long Beach…read more(which felt like almost as much of a trek from downtown Long Beach as DTLA is, but by bike rather than by train, so we felt a bit more of an excuse to go there and eat ice cream.) Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

We ordered the Honey Affogato, Dear Chocolate, and Apple Affogato. We even added flakes to one of them, which made it even more delicious! They had run out of boba by the time we arrived, but that didn't take away from our experience. Our orders came out quickly, and all three were delicious! They also offer shakes, iced teas, hot teas, and have some really cute merchandise! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

Their milk-based soft serve is incredibly creamy, flavorful, and wonderfully balanced--like classic Japanese desserts, it's not overly sweet and lets the real, high-quality ingredients shine. You can truly taste that nothing artificial is used. My absolute favorite item to order is the Honey Affogato specialty. It comes topped with real honeycomb and a hot shot of espresso/coffee poured right over the cold ice cream. The temperature and flavor contrast is amazing~~~ On top of the delicious treats, the service is always super friendly, the shop is spotless, and they even have a fun Photo Booth inside~ Highly recommend stopping by, you won't be disappointed~
