We have been coming here for years! Every time we have a family gathering, on Sunday mornings we would meet for breakfast before leaving town. It's an older restaurant, but clean. Great little Mexican restaurant for breakfast. The tacos are huge! The salsa has nice heat to it. I always get the machacado plate. Hands down my favorite. Service is always friendly and quick. Great little spot for huge to go tacos. It's probably good to eat there too. But when I go it's during work and I just get tacos. They are always nice and fast. Everyone talks about this place so I had to stop in and give it a try. Well the tacos are big the flavor is lacking. The Picadillo had only meat in it and nothing else. The potatoes were way over cooked and the salsa has no flavor and no spice. The only reason I gave them three stars is because of the size of the taco. We used to go there at least once a week, the food was good and the portions were great. The prices have gone up and the quality of food went down in addition to charging extra if we pay with a debit card which is SAME as cash. Now we may go there once every other month if passing by. Since they are charging extra by paying with a debit card, I am taking that off of the tips for servers. Simply the owner is stealing from servers and not from guests. read more

COVID/to go review: We grabbed breakfast here on our way from SATX to ATX, and the tacos were fantastic. FANTASTIC. My husband is still talking about their breakfast tacos. Probably because they were more like breakfast burritos, in size and scope. HUGE, they are huge. Breakfast was awful. My eggs, huevos rancheros, were overcooked, tomato sauce was awful, potatoes were lukewarm, and beans appeared to come out of a can. They used to give you 2 tortillas and now the prices have gone up and they only give you 1 tortilla that was old and had been re-heated. They provided no salsa or even offered it. To top it all off, my coffee was like warm at best. I complained and they took it away and stuck it in a micro-wave, because when she brought it back, I couldn't even touch it. My wife's barbacoa taco was just not the same. The barbacoa was not hot and appeared not to be fresh. She didn't like it. Coffee is now $2.59 per cup, barbacoa taco is $5.99, huevos rancheros $7.99. I don't mind the price increase, but you have to provide a good product if you expect customers to come back. I won't be coming back to this establishment again. read more

Saw this restaurant on FB so I had to try it out when I got here in SA. I was about 20 minutes out of the way but I didn't mind bc I was interested on how big the tacos were and how good they looked in the video I saw. The tacos are big and well worth the price they charge (cheap) but the taste was nothing to write home about. The Barbacoa didn't have much taste, the carne guisada was alittle too saucy but the carne asada mexicana was ok. If you're in the area where the restaurant is located you should definitely try it as you'll get your money's worth but I wouldn't travel out of the way to taste it. read more

The only thing that keeps this place from being a 5 star review is that it's in a run down building. The food is always great. I was turned onto it over 10 years ago by a co-worker. Good tacos and service. My issue charging me .65 cents on credit card when my transaction was already $8.30. So it had nothing to do with minimum charge. Makes me feel like owner is trying to cover rent with fees. I do believe it cost $.15 per transaction. It think that has to be posted on front door in a big print. My hubby stopped in and grabbed some breakfast tacos this morning based on numerous recommendations. The tacos were large but didn't have anything special about them. They were simply large, ok tacos. The picadillo taco was just ground beef, no onions, peppers, etc. it was a very bland taco. The Papas (potato) & eggs tasted like over cooked potatoes and unseasoned eggs. The Papas & bacon also had over cooked potatoes and the bacon was more like bacon bits and very salty. We're both huge breakfast taco fans, and after seeing this place reviewed by a friend recently, I knew we had to check it out when the opportunity presented itself. Even though the tacos were huge, I had to sample a bit of his carne guisada, and I was blown away! I promptly added another to our order for myself, since he was not inclined to share. The meat was tender, there was plenty of sauce, and the cheese perfectly complimented the taco. When it arrived, I knew it was a bad idea but I ate it anyway, stuffing myself and clutching my overfull belly as we left. Needless to say, we did not eat lunch. And you know what? One regular breakfast taco runs $1.69, which is heaven in my book! Normally, I get three to try but something told me that I should get two and I'm sure glad I did because I could barely finish. They serve a great cup of coffee and all the other dishes that were brought out looked scrumdiddlyumptious! The tortillas are delicious as well as their generous fillings. I can always tell a good restaurant by their beans and this place had it down! We received the BEST service by multiple waitresses and continued to check on us long after we finished.
