Prices are more expensive than Les S, go find another tire shop, anyone will treat you better.

The is no feeling quite like being on a road trip, finding yourself in an unfamiliar city and seeing your car's low tire pressure light coming on. Luckily, I was in downtown Arcata at a street corner across from a gas station with a-thankfully-working air pump. Thank goodness for Yelp. Tehama Tire Service was close by. They help customers on a first-come, first served basis. I parked, walked into their office and explained my situation. There was no one else waiting, so they were able to inspect and repair my tire fairly quickly. Service was excellent. Cost of repair was fair and reasonable. Staff was personable. Tehama Tire Service deserves it's high Yelp rating. read more

Needed new tires and Tehama had the best price and service period. After calling a few of the area tire shops I gave Tehama a call and got Juan on the phone. Juan is very professional and prompt to reply. He went above and beyond to get my business and also help me find new rubber within my budget. Best price on a new set of four tires in the area. Was almost $200 less than the next quote, and over $400 less than a couple quotes for comparable tires. Got a call at the end of the day that my tires were in and to come by the next day and they would get my ride handled. Rolled over there that next morning and they got me in right away and the work started. In and out in about an hour, and there is no fancy waiting room like some places, or free coffee burning all day. But they get the job done fast and at a very competitive price. There are also several coffee and food places within a block or so of the location as well for killing time if you dont want to wait at the shop. A decent set of tires and a very competitive price, installed promptly and professionally and the GM goes above and beyond to help you get your needs met. 4 Stars - a good company, service and staff with competitive pricing. 00888 read more

I purchased tires at Tehama Tires. As a senior, it is difficult to know who to trust. I was treated with great respect. I appreciate the time taken to inform me of everything from the high quality and future care needed for my tires. read more

Best local tire shop in our town. I've been going to TP Tires for many years. Great customer support and service. The new new owners Tehama Tire Service bought the business and kept the great staff. Good products and super good people. They deserve your business. read more

I had a great experience here. They were efficient and did a great job! Thank you to Carlos who helped me out!

I went to TP Tire after several other places couldn't find the problem. All staff I dealt with were helpful and lifetime locals. I was out the door for under $100.00. Separating radial plys replaced by a nearly new Michlin Radial. I'll be back. read more

Had a slow leak in my Subaru Outback. I brought it in, they fixed it in 15 minutes or less. Very knowledgeable, polite, and willing to share their expertise. Recommend highly. I will take any tire issues I might have in the future to these folks again, without a doubt. read more

TP tire is the best in the business. They've been local for decades and they do take care of people. Their service is quintessentially above the rest! Went in for a new tire minutes before closing. They got the job done and at a good price.

Traveling from Illinois with our fifth wheel. After a day outing we stopped for gas in Trinidad only to discover a nail in one of our tires. Mckinleyville was the closest place for repair, so we went to T.P tire service. They were very helpful, professional, and explained why we needed a new tire as the nailed one couldn't be repaired. Great service, we were done in just about an hour. Thanks!!! read more

On Oct 3, 2018, while driving home through Arcata, we had a serous blowout on our RV fifth wheel. After getting the spare on, I decided to have all tires inspected as a safety precaution and to get a spare. T P Tire in Arcata was recommended so we drove right there. The manager inspected the other tires and 2 were showing significant irregularities (Goodyear) although they had a lot of tread left. The manager gave me a competitive price for 4 new tires. He installed them immediately and we were able to get home that evening. I greatly appreciate the speedy service provided by TP Tire and highly recommend them as a fine example of a fair businees. read more

Fast, profession, and honest. I walked in and spoke with them about the wear on my tires. The gentleman told me that my tires were showing some wear but that it was likely they would last me a few thousand more miles, but said ultimately if it led to my peace of mind they'd be happy to replace them. Since I was on a road trip and intended to put another 5 thousand miles on them in the coming week I opted to play it safe and have them replaced. They gave me an excellent price on new tires and had them fitted in half an hour. In all my life I have never had such a quick and painless experience at a repair shop. And they offer free tore rotations too!! Definitely stop in if you need tires. read more

My fiancé and I were on a road trip up to Oregon and got a side puncture on one of our tires. TP tire was SO hopeful and everyone was extremely kind! Couldn't have had a better experience with a bad situation! Russ was great! Thanks guys! read more

I went here to get all new tires because one of my tires was all messed up. I was a little nervous because I have never gotten any work done on my car and I really don't know a whole lot about cars. They broke everything down for me and what needs to get done now and what can wait for later (I'm a college student working a full time minimum wage job so I don't make much). I did not have the key to the lug nuts on my wheels because I bought it used and consequently it did not come with it. They tried everything they could think of and had every mechanic come take a look. They warned me the only other thing they could do was a whole heck of a lot more expensive and pointed me in the right direction in order to get another key. I just received the key in the mail today and I WILL be going back to T P Tire Service to get my tires done. I was impressed with how they handled everything and will continue to go for any other car service needs. read more

Guys who work there were very helpful and made a quick adjustment for me without an appointment. The waiting room is very old school, but I am glad I took my car here. read more

I was driving up from Santa Rosa and got a flat. Took it into TP Tires and they "fixed" it. Subsequently that tire kept losing air. I took it into Costco to have them inspect my tires and once they took off that tire that was repaired at TP, they said they could not put it back on my car because it was a road hazard and not safe to drive because of the shoddy way it was patched. They explained that patching a tire is a three step process and they had only done one of the steps. That is why the tire kept losing air and potentially could have blown out. I called TP to let them know that maybe they should know that one of their employees was not doing a good job repairing tires, which is serious business. The person I talked to was not concerned at all and offered all kinds of excuses, and even said that they would say anything just to sell me a new tire. The truth is that Costco had ordered me a new tire and are not charging me anything. I have been driving around for four days on a skinny little spare though, no thanks to TP tires. So if you have a flat, I would recommend going somewhere else to have your tire fixed. read more

Excellent customer service and prices! Local business and much better than chain stores!

Great deals on tires, they do suspension too. I trust this shop to work on my brakes, front end. They do awesome work at a reasonable rate.

The best tire service I have ever had. I called Les Schwab for the same tires and it would've cost me an extra $126 for my trailer. The staff was great. I would definitely come back to the area to get tires again from the same place they have met all my expectations highly impressed, they were very professional excellent service thank you very much read more

Russ at TP Tire is a real professional, and TP Tire provides excellent prices and excellent service. We ordered tires for our farm tractor, thinking they would be 6-ply sidewalls. We are hard on tires! When they came in, they were 4-ply, though solid tires. We wanted the 6-ply, so Russ ordered the more expensive tires, and when we brought the wheels and tires back in, replaced the 4-ply with 6-ply at no charge. We tried to pay him for it and he refused. He said, "I want you to be happy!" Well, we are happy. We have had several good deals at TP Tire but this time they really went the extra mile and deserve a solid 5 stars. read more

I needed to replace all four tires on my car. Very shortly after I received my new tires, I was pulling up to park in front of my home. I barely touched the curb as happens sometimes when pulling into a parking spot against a curb. Somehow this ripped a massive hole in my brand new tire. My neighbor saw it happen, and we were both baffled. I couldn't have been going more than 3mph. I thought surely they'd work with me as this a defective tire or something like that. When I attempted to speak to the guy about it, he accused me of driving much harder into the curb. So, essentially, that I was lying. I get it on some levels, that it's hard to comprehend, but come on man. That's the point of it all. Nothing else on my car was damaged, the wheel wasn't bent, etc. I wasn't lying. The least he could have done is said, yeah, what a fluke! I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do. Instead, he felt it was professional to imply that I was lying. I just bought 4 tires from you, and I can barely afford to get this cheapest different tire now. I was hoping for a long term relationship with this shop, but I'll never go back now. Sigh. read more

We were from out of town, Florida actually. We had a flat tire on the rental car and the rental car company told us we are on our own or it could tow the car to Sacramento (6 hour tow) and have it repaired (crazy I know!, welcome to Payless rental car...). I called one place and that was T.P. Tire Service. I was blown away by their understanding and desire to help. It got better after we arrived! This family owned shop was just outstanding in all ways. From the warm reception and coffee to the nice young gentleman repairing our tire. He did not leave even a fingerprint on the car! The tire was repaired promptly and the price was more than fair. We received directions to the best place to eat, the best place to find agate stones , the best place to find great pie...The people of this shop made me wish we lived in Arcata! Unfortunately, we do not! I highly recommend this family owned and operated shop... read more

Love this local tire business - I have been going there for many years and wouldn't go anywhere else if I have a choice (like being broken down away from here). I am about to take my car to them again just this afternoon - I was looking up their hours and came up with this website and the negative review and just had to respond. I have never had a bad experience with them - from getting a whole new set of tires (with excellent recommendations about the best to get) to fixing a flat to getting me a good used tire, snow chains, tubes for summer rafting... you name it. If you get a set of tires from them they will rotate them regularly for free. Yeah, their waiting area is old fashioned funky but they have free coffee and very nice people and you don't have to wait long. Sorry Kelly, that you had a bad experience but that isn't the usual case with TP Tire - everyone else should know that. Thanks! read more
