Grilled chicken wrap
Lisa M.

Bartender got my order wrong twice and the owner was behind the bar and tried to correct it but still wasn't right. Just wanted a Buffalo grilled chicken wrap with no tomatoes and it was just grilled chicken and a bunch of tomatoes still in it. Was decent quality but was really craving a kick of Buffalo

a beef sandwich and fries
Rod W.

A little on the pricey side and proportions are a little on the light side. Ordered a few lunch specials, smoked brisket fries was really good . The shredded ribeye steak was average. The meat lacked some flavor, the bun was basic, and the mushrooms were very light on the sandwich. Service was great. They even recommended we not sit by a section as it was reserved and the group was known to get loud.

Partitions between each bar spot and all throughout the restaurant.

We live not far, so we decided to give them a go. When we arrived we were greeted right away and offered a table by the front window. Our waitress was quick to bring drinks and take Our orders. My wife ordered a Cajun chicken and avocado salad. I ordered the Cobb salad with extra chicken breast. These salads did not disappoint and they did not skimp on the chicken. The restaurant was clean and inviting. All of the staff were friendly and prompt. The prices were very fair and portions were spot on. We will definitely be back soon.

Server number 200 did not do that for me this evening. I went to Archie's on a recommendation from my local host. My Cajun chicken salad was decent, nothing to brag about, nothing to complain about. The bartender took my drink and food order, but someone else delivered my food, and kindly asked if I needed anything else. I said no. The bartender passed by me no less than a dozen times, never stopping once to check in. She busied herself with socializing with the locals at the tables, but couldn't offer a simple check in to see if I liked my food or needed anything else. Before that, my tip was going to be 30%, which is standard. By the time I left, it dropped down to just under 20%. She was not even deserving of that, but I am a decent guy. As I walked out, I expected a parting greeting from the bartender who was at another table. Nothing. As I passed by the host, I expected another greeting. Nothing. There is absolutely nothing about this restaurant, the food, or the staff that would encourage me to return or recommend it to anyone else. Nothing.

Was looking for an authentic style Mexican street taco and I definitely found that here with my two tacos, an Asada (steak) and an El Pastor (marinated Pork) which were well-made with lots of meat and plenty of cilantro and onions. The Al Pastor, which was my favorite, had a little bit of a kick to it, but not too spicy, and definitely was quite flavorful. It had pineapples in it, where the sweetness was there, but not as much as I would have liked/expected. The Asada had less spices where it warranted some salsa and added salt to get the flavor profile up to where I wanted it. But overall was quite pleased with both offerings. Besides the tacos, I was served gratis chips and salsa that was quite good as well where the chips were fresh and the salsa well made and tasty. The house margarita which appeared to be a batch job based on how quickly it was served to me, was sort of just so so. The sour mix used in the margarita was the overriding flavor component where the tequila, which I believe was on the light side, was not very noticeable with no notes of agave to speak of. Overall, the drink was OK but came across as a tad too sweet and again lacking the agave notes and the punch I look for in a good margarita. To be fair, there is an upgraded margarita on the menu, which may very well have been more to my liking, but in this instance I opted to go with the house Margarita to save a little money. Relative to staff and facility, the restaurant itself has a lot of ambiance to offer with colorful Mexican decor and a central visually appealing bar at the heart of the restaurant. Plenty of tables with both inside and outing dining area's which is definately a consideration on days with nice weather. The facility definitely adds a lot to the overall dining experience. Relative to staff they were very friendly with prompt service and nice follow up throughout the meal. Overall, I was fairly pleased with my first dining experience here and would definately consider coming here in the future, especially if the Mexican restaurants on Main Street are busy which is something to keep in mind during peak dining hours

The hot salsa is really spicy, had to mix with the house to cut the spice. Ordered guacamole, cheese dip, Michelado, Michelob Light, grilled jalapeños, esquite, chicken flauta, nopale salad, 3 soft chicken tacos, beef enchilada, Mexican chicken sandwich. $48.21 for everything except for the chicken sandwich and beef enchilada. The corn tortilla tastes stale on the tostada. They totally forgot about my husband's 3 chicken tacos. The Michelado isn't tangy, it's a giant beer with some Tabasco and that's about it. The chicken sandwich, flauta and chicken tacos are all average. The beef enchilada, nopale and chips were all good. The cheese dip is super runny, tastes decent. Guacamole is average.

Dining in was quite nice. We were able to watch the Tiger game and have an enjoyable mid-day lunch. I love the many TV's and from every seat, you're able to watch. The seating is comfortable and the energy is lively. We had a great server, he was very nice and engaging. The food was satisfying. The Mac and cheese bites were a pleasant surprise. I had a massive salad and it had a tons of ingredients, very fresh and delicious. We also ordered the filet bites and this is a tender and tasty dish. The pretzels are sort of common, nothing too special. Next time, we must order the desserts! They looked so tempting. Overall, I would definitely return. Art and Jake's is fun place to dine.

They gave us plenty of food for the money and if it was hotter it would have been a 5 star review.
