I had a service appointment scheduled with Ted's Air, Plumbing, & Electric at my home. I rearranged my schedule and asked others to adjust theirs as well so I could be home at the agreed-upon time. Unfortunately, no one from the company showed up, and I only received a text message more than an hour after the scheduled appointment time stating they could not make it. I understand that delays and emergencies can happen, but the lack of communication and respect for customers' time was very disappointing. They just left my house, OUTRAGEOUS quote of $1820.00 to basically replace (1) frost free hose bibb and hook up a second that I had already run most of the pipe for. Giving them the benefit of the doubt about $150.00 worth of material and and (2) manhours labor. I paid the $105.00 service fee to make them go away. I'll do the work myself for material cost. They are charging monthly "Prority Memberships" fees using the name of a company they purchased (Triangle Heating & Cooling), but they are unable to provide timely service (4 *month* wait for an appointment with a "Priority Membership.") They are not reliable, terrible customer service and money hungry! They required a significant amount of money for a deposit to service a unit that is under warranty and it was paid but the heat is still not working after 4 days. If you are looking for an affordable, skillful, reliable company to fix issues with your heat and air in a timely manner without stringing you along until they feel like sending someone out to home after business hours then look elsewhere! read more

Had an appointment back in June this year. First told the technician ran into a problem at an existing client. Waited. For over two hours and since time is always an issue for everyone including customers we rely on being informed on any changes. I was never Inflater loosing an entire day waiting so i called Ted's and the receptionist told me me they would not be able to make it on that day!! Dio I want to resched the appointment?? Horrible experience with an inexperienced crew (less than two weeks for crew member "A" and about two years for crew member "B"). In summary: 1. The two person crew arrived without two of the most essential "tools of the trade"- a bucket and towel. We were asked to provide both. When water from a pipe they cut leaked on to the unpainted dry wall and floor we had to rush around and find paper towels to soak up the spill and dry the wall. We also had to find a fan so we could blow dry the dry wall. 2. "A" was so inexperienced he needed to completely rely upon "B" to guide his every action. It was clear he was learning on the job and struggling at best. We were concerned he might make things worse and we didn't want our home to be a classroom for training plumbers. 3. We asked "B" to take over and do the work themselves and we were shocked when they argued and said that it was necessary to teach others how to become plumbers. I again told "B" to have "A" step aside and they again argued and became belligerent. "B" only acquiesced when I pushed back once more. This interaction with "B" left us feeling uncomfortable having him in our home and we considered asking the crew to leave. 4. "B" ignored our instructions, clogged our kitchen sink spray head and then failed to repair it properly. When it was time to turn the main water back on and bleed air from the system both my wife and I told "B" not to use the kitchen sink for this purpose because we knew from previous experiences that our very expensive spray head always clogged if it was used to bleed air from the system. We were bewildered when he ignored our pleas and charged ahead to do things his way, i.e., he opened the kitchen faucet. Of course it clogged as we had predicted. Before we even knew what was happening "B" dismantled the spray head and in the end was unable to reassemble it. Now our kitchen sink was dysfunctional. Had "B" simply relied upon our advice the system would have been properly bleed without creating any new problems. 5. We asked "B" to have his supervisor contact us. The supervisor was quick to get in touch but he was unable to promise that someone would get over to fix our now broken kitchen sink by the end of the day. We insisted he come over and he did. 6.Before the supervisor arrived we found, in the sink, a gasket from the spray head that had fallen and not be seen by "B". The supervisor installed this part and declared the spray head fixed. We knew he didn't properly test the spray head so we did and discovered it actually wasn't fixed. So the supervisor tried again and succeeded. Conclusion: Ted's inexperienced plumbing crew and supervisor were not up to the task. In the end it was our supervision and actions as "crew" that accounted for the successful outcome. When we brought our concerns/frustrations to Ted's they "fired" us from the HVAC service plan we had joined. Might Ted's have an aversion to customers who watch too closely and complain when things go wrong? read more

I had a gas pack unit installed and it was a great experience. The crew was very professional and answered any and all questions I posed to them. I was amazed at how fast everyone worked considering it was raining I mean raining as nothing hampered their work. Corey King made sure I knew how to operate the new thermostat. They are a Christian company that sympathized with me as recently widowed and handicapped. They came out by request from my pastor and worked on my RV that I reside in which is something that they do not work on but they wanted to help, so they fixed it at a very fair price without an estimate charge which the other companies wanted to charge $180 an hour or more which I was unable to afford. The work was complete and the service was impeccable, so I'm extremely grateful for Ted and his crew! I highly recommend them to you all!! read more

A friend had recommended this company for a HVAC inspection and told me they offered a free inspection in May, however it turned out to be a $150 inspection. Anyway the technician told me my upstairs unit was low on refrigerant but he didnt carry it and couldnt fix it. He told me it had pitted contacts on a switch and needed a new switch on an upstairs drain tray and would cost $850 to repair 2 switches..... He couldnt put a meter on the downstairs unit but said it was fine as it was running and cold air was coming out.... Hmmm I could have told you that.. Despite all this i was charged $150 for a worthless inspection. read more

March '21- We had Ted's come out to replace some bathroom vents/fans. They had already sent us an estimate detailing everything for the job which was appreciated and spot on. No one likes surprises! Carson and Richard were right on time, very pleasant and professional. They got everything done and you'd never know they were here. Not all workmen clean up after the job. Ted's kept us updated throughout the process, texting and letting us know times. We loves the fans and would definitely use Ted's again!! April '21- We had Ted's install our new A.C. unit. These guys are super friendly, professional got the job done in the time they stated. They cleaned up after all the work was done, and kept us updated on everything they were doing. Had an appointment scheduled for September 3, 2024 to get a quote for 2 new heat pumps. Got a call saying they would be an hour late. OK- 2hours later they call saying 15 minutes out. Get a call back saying he has to take his partner home and won't be out for another hour. Very poor time management with no regard for customers time. At my semi-annual service call, I was told by LJ Lunsford that several things needed work -- water tank to be replaced eventually, water filter made more secure and a pipe that was loose needed work. Today, LJ came out to work on these items and successfully completed them. He was not only very professional and friendly, but was never pushy about getting things done. I found this company online and called to come figure out what was causing the electricity to not work on only one side of my kitchen. They told me they would be able to fix it and it would cost $1,300. I was not convinced so I asked for someone else to come in and turns out there was an issue in one small wire, paid $40 and everything is fixed now. read more

First and last time we will be using this service. I have never in my life heard of " we don't do itemized statements" in this type of HVAC and Plumbing industry. Y'all want to charge us $378 for a $20 fix on an item? And did not want to inform us it'll be a $99 fee just to come out and see what the issue is. Where's the statement of the items and services that was used? Don't bother wasting your money and time with this company. The Ted's team is responsive and responsible people who work with integrity and professionalism. A Ted's Club membership is a great deal as they visit twice a year to inspect my 3 HVAC units and point out potential issues. This company is all about the money. Was quoted $1600.00 for a repair while technician was doing annual maintenance check on unit. Was able to get repaired for $435.00, called Ted's back under maintenance contract we had with them for a follow up and they got salty because they didn't do the work and cancelled our maintenance contract. Be very careful dealing with this company, don't let their biblical quotes on all their paperwork fool you - some of the worse customer service EVER other than technician who was awesome ! read more

If you EVER have to have work done on your HVAC AC or Heating unit, you need to call these guys! No question about it. They are the BEST. On time, friendly, affordable, helpful and knowledgeable! I can not say enough good things about Ted's HVAC. They had the parts and knowledge to find and fix any problem I had on my 22 year old HVAC system!! Who has parts handy for anything that is 22 years old?!?!? Nobody! But the guys from Ted's HVAC did!!!
