We stumbled upon Russel at the Arcadia shop who was instantly friendly, personable and extremely well versed in his products and their features - a great first impression and experience. We arranged an in-home measurement - Russel arrived on time and brought tons of great samples to choose from (my wife's favorite). We talked about practical matters (installation, remote controls, etc) and had fun talking about other interests we had in common, as if we were old friends. A day or so later he provided a detailed estimate that was right on the button for what we hoped to spend but also expected in terms of cost and value. Our project also included shutters - his recommendation was to repair and refurbish vs replace because our shutters were made of wood and were custom, and, he knew "the best guy in the Valley" who could do the job. This earned my respect because he passed up selling us new shutters (which he could have done for a profit) and instead saw the value in our existing shutters (value we could not see). He convinced us and that saved us potentially tens of thousands of dollars in our project (we had a quote from 5 yrs years prior to replace our shutters for $24k!!). Due to extenuating personal circumstances (a death in my family) we ended up going a different direction with our project, but we did use Russell's shutter repair recommendation, which was spot on and an excellent experience. I requested a quote for shutters installed for the whole house. Colin Grant came at 11:30 am to give us an estimate, and showed us the samples after sitting down at my dining room table. When he got up to measure our windows​, I noticed that the fabric seat of my dining room chair was soaking wet after he got up, and I quietly informed my wife. I wasn't sure why he had soaked the chair or how, but I digress. He continued, measuring two windows before asking if he may use the restroom. He went to our guest bathroom and came ​out about 15 minutes later and said thank you, and continued measuring. Nothing was too abnormal at this point. He gave us our estimate, we thanked him and he left. He also pushed the chair back into the table before leaving. We noticed this, and in hindsight it is clear he was trying to hide how he had soaked our dining room chair. Later, when my wife went to the guest bathroom, she finally saw the worst of what he had done. We don't know if he had an accident, or what his excuse may be, but what's most disgusting is his lack of acknowledgement of what he had done to our bathroom. The bathroom had feces all over the toilet cover, toilet seat, on the walls, on the floor, and on the surface and sides of the toilet paper roll to the point where we had to throw it away. You cannot make this disgusting scenario up. We could tell he had attempted to hide this, smearing the poop and staining everything even more. Colin Grant left his fecal matter all over my guest bathroom and completely ignored it, acting as if nothing had happened when he left the restroom. A simple "I'm sorry, I had an accident" or "I didn't mean to make this mess, what cleaning supplies do you have for me to clean it up" would've been better than what he did. Complete radio silence. My wife spent hours angrily cleaning our now disgusting bathroom of the mess he made. We have both tried calling him separately to demand an apology and retribution for the cleaning required for this disgusting mess. He did not answer all day. My sister in law called him later in the day and he did answer, only for him to hang up on my wife when she angrily told him about how disturbing this situation was and how nasty he is for coming into what he said was a "beautiful home" (his words) only to paint our bathroom with his poop. We do not care what the circumstances of this accident was; it is disgusting that he would not acknowledge his mistake and own up to the mess he made under our hospitality. We demand acknowledgement of this situation and we warn you to never request a quote from this company, especially not from Colin Grant, until this is resolved and this company takes care of the lack of accountability present in its employees.

We called the business owner and explained our issue. He mentioned approximately how much it would cost. He also asked if we would like to take our blind to his house or if we wanted him to come to our house. It made more sense for him to come visit us. We were successful in removing the blind from the ceiling. But since the rope was broken, he needed to reinstall a rope. We set up an appointment with him. On the day of the appointment, he called earlier to see if we were available for a visit. We were available and he came. His visit was short and he had our blind fixed and installed within 30 minutes time. He was polite, did a great job, the cost was low and the blind is working perfectly. We recommend him.
