The reviews stand up to it expectations. Always wanted to try getting a wax but the thought of someone seeing my goods is quite awkward and scared of the pain. But I took a chance and gave it a try. Had an appointment at 2:45 and was out of there in 10mins!! Level of pain 5 hands down. The top hurt and stung the most but it went by really quick. These ladies always treat you with the best of care. I drive all the way from Monterey because they are the best. Their personalities, the looks and cleanliness of the place, their amazing work! If you're hesitant at all about waxing, you HAVE to come here! My usual wax lady's salon was closed due to covid, and SIP is the longest I've gone without a wax. I have been a patreon of Ted D bare for years now. I've always loved how quickly they can get a Brazilian done but my bad review is for my last experience. I was late for my appointment, actually walked in at the same time as another customer who was also late (staff let us both know we were late) I was told that if another client was late then they can take me in. I asked if I should come back later then, the waxer let me know it shouldn't be long. I waited close to two hours and was not taken back or told they were booked and I should come back another time. There was another waxer there that saw how long I had been waiting and let me know she would try to squeeze me in. The other customer that walked in late with me was able to be taken back and waxed by the nicer waxer that offered to squeeze me in even though she was also late. I understand a late policy with businesses that book so tight but I have been taken in late previously when I've arrived on time due to their scheduling. If I've been accommodating to them being late to wax me I should receive the same treatment back. Their communication needs to get better with clients so we're not waiting 2 hours to not even be seen when we were less than 10 minutes late to the appointment. read more

She seemed to be interested in my life and our conversations didn't end up being very superficial and bland which was great! - Talked about the ingrown hair serum but only because she thought it might be something I would be interested in. It didn't feel like she was pushing a product on me at all and never brought it back up. - Even though I'm not new to waxing, she made sure to talk about post-wax care and all of that which was very nice. - When I left, I felt like I gained a new friend and could trust Rika with my life. Studio: Very Clean and professional. She wore a mask and wiped everything down. Booking: Easy, I was able to book an appointment 2 days ahead via the website and there was a lot of availability to choose from. Pricing: Credit card deposit when making the appointment and cash only to pay off the rest, but no tips which is a plus. The wax: There's a bit of pain, but I would say it's as minimal as waxing could be. Definitely the least painful I've ever had. It was the quickest too. Location: Make sure you park in their complex. I've been to 2-3 other places for Brazilians and they are... 1) usually more expensive (this place has a no tip policy) 2) isn't as aesthetically pleasing 3) hurts like a $#% This still hurts, trust me. But a lot less because they're so fast that in a blink of an eye, you're out. I wish I'd come here sooner and I didn't move away to East Bay only because I would spend significantly more time driving to San Jose than the 15 MINUTES it takes for a FULL SERVICE (full Brazilian, underarm, lip, and chin). They do take appointments which is great! CASH ONLY and they will refuse your tips; they are amazing to confirm price/total via text for those like myself who don't otherwise carry cash. They're cash only and don't accept tips, but the price is extremely reasonable (cheaper than any other wax I've had) and the esthetician is very clearly experienced.
