I have been coming here for quite some time now and have my fair share of experience. This place has treated me well until I notice a pattern with scheduling and priorities. I have been rescheduled three times with inadequate reasoning and noticed that my other friends were able to get their appointments done. I will not be returning nor my friends for the lack of trustworthiness in the employee and perhaps management as well. read more

I've been getting Brazilian waxes at Ted D Bare for over a decade, when it was just Pain Jane herself! I've literally never gone anywhere else because I don't trust anyone who Jane hasn't trained. Literally the fastest wax of your life (like 7 min fast--can get back to my car in 10). No ingrowns or irritations. They are the absolute masters of the wax industry. Mya is amazing...makes you feel super comfortable and slays that waxing technique! I had a mixup with one of my appointments and she made sure to squeeze me in. The vibes of the office are so fun and welcoming and I always appreciate Jane's humor and creativity read more

The best waxers are we Ted D Bare! I am in & out in 15 mins or less, the studio is super cute and super clean. 10 out of 10 recommend!

I've been coming here for Brazilians for a couple years now and it's always a good time. The website alone is entertaining to read and not to mention walking into suite. The decor and the vibe is a site to see. What makes me excited to come to my appointments, is the staff especially Mya. Her energy is unmatched and its always a bunch of laughs. I don't even realize what's happening during our little chisme sessions and they go by so quickly. Top tier spot! read more

This has been my go to place for years!! Never a bad wax and always great service!! It's easy to book an appointment on the website and I love following their instagram. read more

The best Brazilian waxing! I went to Jane years ago when she rented a space off Santana row and followed her business. Since growing the team, I have probably seen 5 different estheticians. All are very professional and get you in and out. The place is spotless and immaculately clean. All staff are friendly and personable. I appreciate their strict policies because it allows you to not have to wait. read more

It was my first time here today and I had such a great experience! Rika was the sweetest and made me so comfortable throughout the whole experience. This will definitely be my go to place for any waxing services. read more

Pai is thee best!! I've been coming here for a little over a year now. Love this place and I never leave disappointed.

You owe it to yourself to at least try this place! I got my very first Brazilian from Pai. I met her four years ago on the same day I met my now husband- yes, her work was that good! She will always be my favorite because I love free therapy I get with the wax. I have also gotten waxed by Maya. I love her so much, absolutely phenomenal. Maya recently waxed my bff and now this woman is driving 30 miles from where she lives just to see Maya. Jane I follow on social media because she is funny, real, and a bad ass girl boss! BUT PLEASE NOTE- big reason I needed to write this review is because of the amazing products they carry and sell (with out pushing it onto you!) I am a gullible sucker who buys stuff that experts in their field offer and I constantly get disappointed. Not at this place!!! The ingrown hair serum charged my life! I also love the exfoliation towel and the feminine deodorant spray. Best part is the products are reasonably priced and easy to get from the vending machine at the studio. This place is amazing! read more

Very professional. I felt comfortable in what is an awkward situation. I will definitely be back!

I've had going to another wax organization for YEARS!!! Needless to say, I was holding myself back. Ted D Bare was very professional, clean and easy to obtain an appointment. A was amazing! She was super fast, friendly and made the normally uncomfortable experience so easy and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!!!! read more

I have had a different esthetician every time I've came here. They are all professional and talk to you the whole time so it's less awkward getting a Brazilian wax done. You will be out within 15 minutes. There is now online booking where you will be required to pay a deposit by credit card. The remaining balance has to be paid in cash at the appointment. Tipping isn't allowed since the price includes tip. read more

I've already had a couple of sessions as this place since it's right next door and I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! When you walk in, the place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. What I like the most is that they are very punctual. In addition, I usually go here for a waxing session and being someone who is sensitive to pain, it definitely hurts a lot less than you expect it too. The staff help distract you from the pain by talking to you and it feel like a pretty genuine conversation. This will continue to be the place for me :) read more

Been going here for years. All of the ladies make the experience quick and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fast and efficient. You book online through email. They are very prompt so they will get back to you fast. They have a system down. I got in then got out fast. Jane was very friendly. She conversed and just chatted it up,and they usually do this to help distract you from the pain. This place wasn't as elaborate as other wax places. The other place that I've been to had a pre and post treatment before waxing but it's more simple here which I don't mind. As long as it gets the job done. Definitely coming back. read more

The BFF found this place on yelp, so we decided to go before our Miami trip. We picked this place based on the great reviews & the price! At first, booking was confusing, but not too bad. They're very responsive via e-mail. This place is cash only AND they ask for no tip. For a Brazilian wax, it's $45. Service is quick and easy. I was a little nervous at first, but they're super nice and calm. You'll be okay! If you need some liquid courage, they'll pour you a tequila shot! You're literally done in 15 mins!! read more

Never everrrr going back to European wax center. I went in for my first session today and instantly is committed to this place. First impression when walking in is that the ambiance of the place is very comforting and welcoming. Pai was the esthetician that took care of me and she was sooo nice and friendly. It felt like I was catching up with a friend and made the whole experience very pleasant. I got a Brazilian + bum wax and she even informed me that I didn't really need to get the bum done. It was because at European, they wouldn't take care of anything that was a tad bit extra. 10/10 recommend! read more

What a great experience. I believe my waxer was Mya. I hadn't had a wax in a loooong time so I was a little anxious, but Mya made me feel well taken care of. I actually appreciate that they don't accept tips because it just makes the whole process easier and less anxiety-inducing. Their services are very well priced, too. I don't see why I would ever go anywhere else. read more

I've gotten waxes from European Wax Center & Honey Wax Bar - do not recommend super unprofessional and poor job. BUT Ted D Bare is the BEST waxing establishment in the business. They're name holds true because when I go to other places they always miss hairs but Ted D Bare leaves me the most smooth and comfortable. read more

This is officially my go-to waxing salon. I was lucky to have Pai for all my previous visits and she is great. Quick, painless and fun conversations. Love the vibe and decoration too. read more

Had such a great experience here! Booked for a same day appointment (through text). Had an appointment w Mandy and she was awesome! Super cool and easy to talk to! She was fast but thorough! (I got a Brazilian) it was $45 cash, and they don't accept tips. 10/10 recommend! (Also she poured me a shot of vodka at the end lol ya know, take the edge off) read more

Ted D Bare - Their business "cards" ^_^ - Waxing Near Me - San Jose, California

This place is a no-nonsense place! Their website will direct you to online booking, and I find their sense of humor hilarious. Props to whoever did that, because the sarcasm, but utmost professionalism is sometimes something we need. After feeling a little better about actually going to places late 2021 since the Pandemic Era, I found my way here after shaving was giving me anxiety to get cut down there. :dramatic sigh: Okay, I lied, I actually used the same clippers that I use on my dog. It was my first time, so I just scheduled whatever appointment I had first. Mai was my lady and she was sweet, professional, and efficient. I had underarms, lip, and Brazilian done, and I was out in less than 20 minutes as the first appointment of the day. She was able to drive the conversation normally so that it didn't feel too awkward. All of my hair wasn't able to get out, because of the clippers made it grow off, but it was a lot better than before and I'll be back in 4 weeks. Also, don't be worried that the front door is locked. I was so shy that I didn't knock hard, but they really only open it at about 10:00 am. Haha. I thought I was at the wrong place, even though it clearly said Ted D Bare on the door. It wasn't my first time getting a brazilian, but anytime I feel like it will get easier, it really doesn't. It's still hella painful. Cash Only! No tips, which I felt awkward about. Parking lot can be missed, so drive slow or you'll pass the exit. There was tons of spots available. read more

OMG first timer here and how lucky did I get to have Jane!! Yea I was scared but after reading all the reviews and my friend's recommendations of this place, I took the leap and it was worth it! Yea it did hurt a bit, I mean you're getting your hair removed from a sensitive area lol but Jane made it go by quick, clean, and to the point. Def will be back, 10/10! Oh to add, I tried soooo hard to tip her and she wouldn't accept it LOL woman you deserve it though!!! read more

It was run by my favorite Esthie Jane back then and for 11 years since I've known this business they're still doing an awesome job and yes this place don't accept tips. I recently moved to the Bay Area a few months ago & had been searching for a new waxing spot. After trying a few different spots I finally came across Ted D Bare's ad on Instagram and decided to give them a shot. I've gone a total of 2 times so far and I couldn't be happier with my experience. First of all, their location is so cute! Second, the waxer's I got both times were super sweet and chill. Not awkward at all and my wax was quick too! I will definitely be returning! read more
