Do not EVER do business with any Ted Britt dealership - especially Chantilly Ford. I don't use the word "misogynistic" lightly, but after repeatedly being ignored while the manager, Hassan Yousufi, directed every substantive answer to my husband - even after being explicitly told I was the buyer - I don't know how else to describe the experience. It was demeaning, insulting and completely unacceptable.   I was shopping for a 2026 black EcoBoost Mustang convertible and had done extensive research before ever stepping into the dealership. I knew exactly what I wanted, understood the market, and had already begun negotiating over the phone.   My initial interactions with Gleb were fine. Unfortunately, everything changed when the manager, Hassan Yousufi, became involved.   From the very beginning of our conversation, I made it explicitly clear that I was buying the car, I was making every purchasing decision, and my husband was simply accompanying me. He is not a car enthusiast, was not involved in the negotiations, and was there solely as a spectator.   Despite being told this directly, Hassan repeatedly directed his responses to MY questions to my husband instead of me. Every time I asked a question, he turned to my husband to answer. He might briefly glance in my direction, but his attention consistently returned to the man sitting beside me--as though my questions somehow required his approval. It was disrespectful, dismissive, and incredibly unprofessional. I walked into the dealership as a well-informed customer, ready to spend $50K on a new Mustang. Instead of being treated like the buyer, I was treated like I was invisible.   In 2026, there is simply no excuse for salespeople to assume the man in the room is the decision-maker after being explicitly told otherwise. If your sales staff cannot respect who the customer actually is, they have no business working in sales.   Buying a car should be an exciting experience. Instead, Ted Britt turned it into one of the most frustrating dealership interactions I've ever had. There are plenty of other dealerships that know how to treat customers with respect. I bought my car from a dealer in Maryland with a great price and respectful salespeople. This is even worse because Ted Britt Chantilly is the closest dealer to me. Parts department treats you like it is your privilege to be there. Pales in comparison to service at Chevy or Honda in the immediate vicinity. Disappointing ! I was interested in a truck online. Called dealership and spoke to Mohammed, confirmed the vehicle was available , explained I was coming from out of town (2 hrs). Mohammed advised he would hold the vehicle for us ! I arrived two hrs later to find out the vehicle had sold! Mohammed had texted an hour or so earlier but I was driving and didn't hear it.. a courtesy call to tell me would have been nice !!! plus what happened to holding the car for me to get there!! Also when I got there within the 2 hrs I was told the truck was sold !! and all he said was " sorry, it sold" !! Never even suggested he could show me another truck!! Avoid this place at all cost! Every single department! I bought a used car there with only 20,000 miles on it. That was supposed to be GOLD certified. It had four major leaks and ended up needing an entire new transfer case. Did not pass state. Was a nightmare trying to get it fixed. They told me they would have it for three days. They had it for three weeks. The used car service advisor they stuck you with does not call doesn't have a phone line of his own so you can't even call him. He only text you. And that's only every few days.. Once I finally got my car back, there's still a major rattle And get this right at the end, the rental department is trying to charge me $400 for a scuffed wheel. Because Jennifer did not do a walk-through with a customer and didn't verify any damage to the loaner poor she didn't even verify the level of fuel given to the customer. Avoid: I decided to utilize the service department for a warranty item, but I was thoroughly disappointed. They kept my truck for a week and refused to return my phone calls for an update. I called three consecutive days, and each person who answered the phone insisted that only my service representative could answer my questions, but she never called. Finally, on the fourth call, I got through to her, and she informed me that my truck was completed and that I could pick it up. This was extremely frustrating. Upon retrieving the vehicle, I inspected the work they did on the brakes and noticed that they had overfilled the brake fluid reservoir, spilled fluid, and failed to clean it properly. I am not sure how this dealership can get 5 starts on Google and 2.5 here on Yelp, but they certainly deserve the Yelp rating. read more

I ordered parts from Ted Britt Ford on Ford Parts online website and picked up the parts at the dealership. There wasn't a problem there except I realized one of the parts came with another I had ordered. I tried to return the item and they said to contact Ford. Called Ford and they said the dealer needed to return and ship the item back to get the credit. When I went back to tell the parts manager about what Ford said, he seemed annoyed and processed the return. Except now it's been a month and no refund. The system says awaiting part so I assume they never sent the part back to Ford. I tried emailing the manager for an update and no response. A complete mess and not worth my time anymore. It is a combination multiple things. Mach E - breaking a part when there is a week left for 3 year warraty expiry. I have called dealership about the issues a week before warraty expiry and they said no worried and we will take care of it. As soon as warrenty expired things broken and Tedd says we do not care and I have to pay. Service manager said that he will take care of it. No use. Ford said that will take care of it. No use. It is like a German cars BMW, Benz or Audi... the day warraty expires, things starts breaking. Same with Ford and its dealership. Never buy Ford again. Every time I come here the experience is poor and customer service is bad. They more times than not will not fix your problem. Bought a car from them took it in to get serviced and they dinged my door tried to deny it. Brought my car in to get it the bumper fixed and repainted and they didn't match the paint to the car. Went to get a rental in which they state "pets are not allowed" if you look at my review photos they gave me a rental that clearly had a dog in it and was obviously not even looked at or cleaned because if they had there is no way you could miss the accumulation of dog hair all throughout the vehicle. Totally unprofessional customer service. I set the appointment last week to guarantee the (same day) repair/at least diagnose. I met with Trinity who said that I have to leave my car for 3 days for diagnosing only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No loaner cars available! No co-operation, No understanding for the fact that I took a day off my work, and can't live without a car for three days. Don't know what I should had done more than taking an appointment ahead. They did their best to send me back home without even diagnosing the car knowing that (I only have 300 miles away from the warranty expiration) Note: I went to another place after I left. I absolutely hate to write this review but I have no choice at this point and want others to be aware. I reached out directly to Mr. Will Britt after receiving his contact information from a client I work with. I had a smooth process of trading in my old vehicle for a 2023 Subaru I had my eye on. The entire experience was fantastic up until the point that I got ready to leave with my new vehicle. AFTER signing all of the paperwork and handing over my two keys to my trade, I was given only one set of keys for my new car. Mr. Britt told me he would cover the cost of a replacement second set (nothing in writing - just verbal). After spending over $500 on a replacement key fob, I have been officially ghosted by Mr. Britt, as well as the sales people at this dealership. I have called, texted, and emailed multiple times and have received no response. If you make a purchase for a used car at this dealership, make sure to get two keys before signing any paperwork. At the end of the day, I do love my new car, but I feel this loss of $500 hits a customer harder than it does a large scale dealership. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. They held our vehicle for nearly a month before they even took a look at it. They finally looked at it after we came around asking about the progress. Angel, the service advisor, never answers our phone calls and rarely replies to our text. She is very unprofessional as is the service manager. As I read through all the complaints, there's no way in hell I'd buy a car from Ted Britt. I was told to bring my 2016 Ford Taurus down on Friday am. I left 2 phone numbers and my advisor only called my husband's phone number, which is his work # and couldn't answer. Lindsey didn't even try the 2nd # in the PM. So I called Friday night and Lindsey was gone, I called Saturday and she asked if I got her message. I said No, she didn't seem to understand there was a 2nd #. So now with phone calls our car stayed a whole 7 days. Ugh I was so upset . The only issue was a clogged sunroof drain. So when we got our invoice it was listed only: unclogged sunroof drain $520.00, from what the service technician told my husband, since this is the 2nd time it's happened, he might be able to order a larger drain to avoid it clogging. So, from my understanding after keeping our car for a full week, they would have ordered the larger drain, nope!! Also nothing was described in what they did, it's just the generic's way of saying, checked all fluid levels, etc. how do I know all was done. read more

This review is specifically for the Service Department. Communication is terrible. You have to go through so many people just to get a response. And they are very slow. The service, or lack there of, takes longer than any other Service Department I have used in the past. I will never buy a Ford again because of the disaster that this Service Department is. Terrible service, they don't care, no one takes responsibility & they just blame each other for the bad service, like it's someone else's fault. This nightmare started back in summer 2023, and after and and last months of back-and-forth, I finally the green light to replace the motor and dropped off the vehicle on July 20. Nearly two months with the "truck in there possession, later--on September 18--they denied my claim over a single oil change I had in North Carolina during the first instance of low oil. That was the exact moment I noticed the problem, and the dealership there documented it clearly.The issue happened again shortly after in Manassas, Virginia, and that second occurrence was also fully recorded. Both times, the records explicitly pointed to the oil consumption defect, which is why they reinstated my warranty tablet and approved the engine replacement process. But apparently, that North Carolina oil top-off was enough for them to back out entirely.This was a massive waste of my time, energy, and trust. Ted Britt gives endless runarounds, ignores every email you send about concerns, and then accuses you of being disruptive when you push for answers. Do yourself a favor: Buy your Ford anywhere else. My husband and I took our car in to be serviced on August 16th for a standard 120k mile service but also told Lindsey the service manager that the car wasn't starting properly and that the remote start did not work. They had the car for the day and said everything checked out ok and sent us home. The next morning found that the same issue with the car staring continued. I called on Monday and asked to have the car looked at again. I was told I by Anna that could drop it off, however, no loaner was available. I asked to please be contacted when a car became available as we couldn't go without a vehicle. I then received a call and took our car back in on August 20th. We went 6 days and heard nothing. Then we get a call saying that Lindsey had called the wrong number even though she had called and texted both my husband and I prior to this. She told us she still wasn't sure what the issue was but we're going to charge the $210 diagnostic fee plus parts and labor to put a new battery in to see if this worked. However, as a Ted Britt 4 Life holder, batteries should be free. It is now August 28th and I have called and left voicemails for Lindsey as well as Michael the service manager and finally left a voicemail for the General Manager and still no call back. I don't know what kind of service this is but it is absolutely unacceptable. What do I need to do to get my car back from you people? read more

Bought a truck here 2 years ago and wanted to trade it in for a new one but was offered $10k below carfax (straight robbery). Still thought I could get a fair price for a new Bronco but they wouldn't even match online-published prices from their competitors (look in Manassas for a better deal!). Service sucked as I could never get a loaner despite having a $3000 maintenance plan that literally covers nothing but oil changes and inspections (not even kidding, don't be fooled like I was, doesn't cover brakes/tires/any other fluid changes), but they have a new maintenance manager so maybe you can get a loaner now. Just too late for me. Oh, and "free" coffee, but you'll end up paying for it another way. read more

Worst experience and dealership I have ever dealt with. I wish there was an option for zero stars. Purchased a $60k vehicle and after a week had issues (eLSD rear differential warning). I took it back to have it fixed under warranty and the dealership had it for over 2 weeks just to replace a sensor. I drove the vehicle for almost a week before getting the warning indicators for the same issue. Again, took it back to the dealership to have it fixed under warranty and they said new repairs needed to be made. The dealership had the vehicle for 39 days, yes 39 days, before "fixing" the repairs. Over the course of the 39 days they were never responsive and provided little to no updates. Moreover, there was ZERO urgency to get my vehicle back. The dealership provided a loaner which came with a half tank of gas to start and when I returned the loaner to get my vehicle I made sure it had the same amount of gas, half tank. The dealership then decided to charge my credit card without my permission a day later for $49.99, stating they had to put 8 gallons of gas in it because I didn't bring it back as I received it. So they gave me a loaner with a half tank of gas but expected me to fill it fully upon returning. The dates on the invoice also reflect only a week of use instead of the actual 39 days. The dealership also attempted to charge me a $100 "warranty deductible" for the second repairs, despite being covered by Fords warranty. If I had to go back I would spend $10,000 more to buy a vehicle at another dealership with better service and one that actually cares about their customers. Avoid this dealership at all cost because they dont care about your long term customer loyalty they just want to make a sale. read more

We feel trapped! We always buy an extended warranty because we keep our vehicle for a long time. We have a 2020 F-150. Has had problems since 32K miles, which Ted Britt would not address. Now it's backfiring in the engine compartment. They have had the vehicle all day and are not able to tell me if they even test drove it this morning to start with. TED BRITT FOR LIFE IS A JOKE. Do not buy your vehicles here! I'm not even sure Ford is good anymore. A $60,000.00 vehicle only has a 3yr/30,000 mile warranty? Other manufacturers have better warranties then that. read more

Just had the worst experience with Ted Britt and their salespeople. I looked at a vehicle on December 27 and took a test drive. The vehicle wasn't even fully listed online yet-- no photos. And the check engine light was on and it hadn't been detailed. I said we were very interested. My salesperson said it would be taken to the mechanic right away. I have been in contact with her almost daily since then to get updates. Still in the shop. Granted, the holidays may have impacted the delay, but still: two weeks? Last night she texted she would let me know an exact date when it could be expected to return. This afternoon at 12:51 she texted that it would be back from the shop shortly and she will speak with her manager. 10 minutes later I get a voicemail saying it came back and it was sold. Unless the universe has lead you into a circumstance where you cannot avoid this place, there is somewhere better. You will pay premium for mediocre work and the worst customer service I've ever seen. Doesn't necessarily mean the actual service team is bad, but their reputation is smothered by sales and customer service making this place an actual hellhole. I paid $800 to get a battery replacement and a $100 part replaced on the body. I sat in the lobby for 8 hours as was barely acknowledged. This review is for the service department. I brought my car in for service with an appointment and the gentleman told me it would take a max of two hours. At the three hour mark I walked up to the desk to see the status of my vehicle. The gentleman told me that they were not finished with the car and that it needed thirty more minutes. Considering the car was in the parking lot still, I asked what needed to be done as I needed to leave. He told me they were not done with the oil change. This had me suspicious as an oil change is done all at once. He made me to believe they may still need to replace the oil filter, again concerning me as this is done during the oil change itself. I asked what was accomplished on the car and after he went back to the mechanic, told me they never started on the car at all. This is just poor customer service and communication. If the car was going to be longer it would have been nice for the update as I sat in the service department during the whole time. The gentleman in the service department also told me the appointment is not the time my car is serviced, but the time it is "checked" in. And finally all of this was voiced with rudenesses. I had to tell him three different times what my name is to look up everything. Ted Britt will not receive any more of my business. read more

We made a service appointment to have our (new to us) 2016 Lincoln MKC evaluated for a front end rattle. Making the appointment was easy, shuttle service was fine. Dropped off the car at 8am. Waited all day for a call.. no call. We called at 1pm.. car had not even been looked at by the service department. Arrived at 4pm and the car was never driven, evaluated.. nothing. Service rep was full of excuses.. under staffed, getting lots of cars in, blah blah blah. Rep then shared that even if you drop off the car and they look at it high probability it will NOT be worked on the same day. So any repair is a minimum 2-3 day escapade. SERIOUSLY?!?! And even if you want a loaner while your car is in the shop the next available loaner is in 2+ weeks. RIDICULOUS. Land Rover, Infiniti and Toyota actually honor appointments and get the car done in one day. We are HIGHLY disappointed in this first service department experience. Purchase my vehicle 04/2017. (actually we purchased two vehicles the same day a navigator in a MKX). I live in Maryland and was initially going to have the vehicles transferred to Maryland, to allow all service to be performed at a dealership in Maryland. Both sales manager and the salesman assured me, The Tedbeitt for life would be honored as long as all services were performed and another Ford/Lincoln dealership, because I lived in Maryland. . Four years later, having a battery for life agreement, i'm told because the service was not performed at Ted Britt Ford, that the agreement will no longer be honored. I've never missed a service recommendation, and all work has been performed by a Ford/Lincoln dealership; which can be verified. -this is not a neglect issue, and there's no routine maintenance done on a battery. I'd give this crooked service department -90 if I could. They are complete scam artist. Tuesday February 18th, 2025 I called their service department and asked if they had availability to do a diagnostic on my 2008 ford escape and tell me why it of of a sudden would not start. They said yes it would be seen that day. I had my car towed in at 10am and never received a call from my service advisors to inform my the received my car. Then after waiting all day I called back at 5pm and was told my service advisors had left and they did not have an update on the status of my car. After calling relentlessly all Wednesdays morning I finally spoke with their lane advisor Lindsay who informed me that my hybrid battery was dead and needed to be replaced but it was obsolete and they supposedly couldn't find a hybrid battery for my car. I confirmed with Lindsay that they only thing wrong with my car was my hybrid battery after i replace that my car would run fine. I paid the $209 over the phone and paid for another tow back to my house. Fast forward today 2/27/25 I found a wonderful service with a wonderful technician that came to my house ans replaced my battery with a brand new hybrid battery for $2700 only to discover my original hybrid battery was not bad at all but instead my standard 12v battery was dead this whole time. Which would been $2400 cheaper. Their Service Manager Michael Darling who is more of a lying man child does not return phone calls and instead pushes it off on to his poor service advisors that do not get paid enough to deal with what they deal with. My daughter bought her first pre-owned vehicle at this dealership and they could not properly repair a rear differential leak after multiple attempts to do so.
