They had a few uniquely cute items in their window display that caught my eye. I picked up a trucker hat and was immediately told the hats were all 30% off, which sounded great. I looked at a few other items in the store and noticed they were ridiculously priced and noticed they were (as high as luxury designer clothing, which nothing in there was even close to). A t-shirt was $500 and a bomber jacket was $1500. Crazy right? I walked to the register to simply check out my trucker hat and asked the sales associate how much the hat was. She immediately said "$40" and that there would be a 30% discount off of that price. I said "ok, I'll buy it". As soon as I said that she grabs the hat from me and goes back to the shelf where I found it and acts as if she's looking for the tag. She then says "oh, the Cowboy Cool hat as are higher so this one is $60 and you'll receive a 30% discount off of that price. I was skeptical of that entire exchange and felt like she was lying, but I really liked the hat and was in a hurry to check out so I could get on the road back home. Once home, I decided to look online to see what the actual cost of the hat was and saw that it was on the Cowboy Cool website for only $25!!! The NERVE of this store taking advantage of tourists in such predatory fashion. This is your standard DSW for the most part, and there is nothing wrong with that as I am a definite DSW fan! I have been to this location a few times now. The first was disappointing, as I had ordered a pair of boots online that were confirmed to be at the store. However when I arrive, turns out they did not have them. The staff searched the floor and stock room, but to no avail. So, disappointing. They were polite and apologetic, and ensured I was refunded though. My latest visit was for another online order and this time they actually had the boot. We pulled in, parked at one of the designated spaced and called to have it brought out. The staff member was friendly and quick. From phone call to delivery was less than 2 minutes. The third visit was a normal and successful trip, no online orders this time! The store is well put together, well kept and clean for the most part. One of my visits was later in the day, so the store was a tad disheveled, but the staff were working on straightening it and was well with no issues. My first stop for any DSW is the clearance racks in the back and this location has stocked shelves, so I am always happy! Overall, this is a solid DSW location, one that I will certainly be returning to time and time again!

This is the third or fourth location of Fleet Feet that I have visited in the Nashville metro area and the one thing I enjoy is how consistent they all are across the board from service to cleanliness, condition, and selection! I popped in here to pick up some 5K gear for an upcoming race and decided, when in Rome...and ended up at the shoe and insole wall. As I was looking, Allie, popped by and asked if I needed help. Walked her through what I was after and then off to the races she went. She was able to pull a few sample insoles, allow me to try them on, gave me the details of each, and when I landed on a pair, she trimmed them for me. She was engaged, helpful and super friendly. The store is pretty good size, possibly the largest of the brand in the metro area. I enjoyed wandering around, I like the feet scans and love that they have a dedicated clearance room! Overall, since I have started running, Fleet Feet has become one of my favorite stores, and this location is a good reason why!

I actually visited the store twice. I couldn't stop thinking about those cute shoes, so I went back about 15-20 minutes before closing. Even though they were getting ready to close, the two gentlemen helping me were incredibly welcoming, patient, and attentive. I never felt rushed. Since this was my first pair of Birkenstocks, they took the time to make sure I found the correct size. The size I originally thought I needed wasn't available, so they suggested I try on another style for sizing purposes. They also encouraged me to try a size smaller and a size larger to ensure the best fit. I'm so thankful they did because I actually ended up needing a size smaller than I wear in almost every other shoe. Their knowledge and guidance gave me confidence that I was making the right purchase. During our conversation, we talked about all the shopping I had done and how little room I had left in my suitcase. One of the employees suggested shipping my shoes to my home in California free of charge so I wouldn't have to worry about damaging the box or packing them for my flight. What a thoughtful service! A few days after I returned home, I realized I hadn't received my shoes or a confirmation email. It turned out I had accidentally entered the wrong email address when placing my order. I called the store, and Dylan immediately helped me track everything down. He found my order, corrected the issue, verified that my shipment was already on its way, and emailed me the tracking information. Just as he promised, my shoes arrived two days later. Dylan was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Even though the mistake was mine, he took the time to help me without making me feel like I had inconvenienced him. There's much too much history to unpack for that to ever be a comfortable experience for me. So, when I need to make sure my shoes look good, I do it myself. And I, like Andy, had need to add a little sparkle to my shoewear. From my long history with mall stores, I remembered J&M for being a shoe store but when I walked in, all I saw were clothes. Had the brand changed in the umpteen years it had been since I'd last been to one? I was greeted with smiles by the two ladies working and I inquired about shoe polish. No worries, they had just what I needed. I had a tin of dark brown at home so I was just in need of black. To my enjoyment, I saw that they sold tins. I'm all about that shoe paste. Liquids and creams just won't do. Give.me.the.tin! Along with my tin, I bought a proper brush and rag (for fibers). I'd been using an old t-shirt but I figured if I was going all in, I'd go all in. Plus, all three items cost, about, $20. Not a bad price to maintain, preserve and extend one's sexy. Sold.
