Had a similar experience to most of the reviews here. Entered the store and received no greeting nor any assistance. About 6 employees in the store, most of which were huddled together watching videos on their phone, gossiping, and ignoring everyone. Literally two other customers in the whole store. I came in to purchase boots for my wife but after 10 minutes of no help and seeming like I was a bother for wanting to purchase something I left empty handed. Boots are nice but definitely not nice enough to endure such poor customer service. I don't understand their business model as anyone who can afford to shop there expects a minimal level of customer service and will happily spend their money elsewhere. Instead you get a bunch of lazy and snobbish employees who couldn't themselves afford a pair of Lucchese boots yet treat customers beneath them. Based on the number of reviews RE the poor customer service, it seems like a deliberate top down strategy and a serious managerial problem. I would avoid this location at all costs. read more

Walked in on an admittedly busy day, but ready to try on specific pairs of boots. Found a pair I hadn't seen online that I wanted to try on as well. Wasn't greeted by anyone when I walked in. Made eye contact with an associate who was with another customer and even then wasn't even acknowledged or told where I could wait. My sister had rave reviews about the store and the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. Buying a pair of luccheses was supposed to be a special gift to myself that I'd been looking forward to for a while. I might look young, but I came ready to spend money and made a trip just to try them on in person. When I walked in, there wasn't a single other customer in the store. Two employees stood at the register, looked right at us, and didn't say a single word. No "hi," no "welcome," not even a nod. I walked around for several minutes, clearly interested, and still nothing. I ended up helping myself, trying on display boots because apparently acknowledging customers wasn't part of their job. Then, a man and woman walked in, probably in their 30s, and one of the same employees rushed over to help her immediately, grabbing her size and making sure she was taken care of. The difference was obvious, and it was honestly disgusting. I've never felt so unwelcome or judged in a store before. I felt embarrassed and stupid for even wanting to spend my money there. The only reason I didn't walk out was because of Jennie. I am so happy that she walked to the front when she did. She was the one person who actually showed kindness and professionalism. She took her time with me, checked the fit of every boot, and explained everything so in detail. Jennie completely saved what would've been a terrible experience. I went into Lucchese in Nashville fully intending to purchase four pairs of boots. Instead, I was completely ignored. No one greeted me, and I had to line up just to try to get someone's attention. When I politely asked for help, one woman actually raised her hand at me--to stop me from talking. Then, without a word, someone tossed a crumpled, sticky notepad and a pencil at me and told me to "write my name down" so they could eventually get to me. After my experience yesterday I am not surprised to see all the other bad reviews. Like so many others, I walked in the Lucchese Nashville store with the intention of buying boots, and had a pair picked out. We walked right past 4 guys "working" while standing at the counter in the center of the store. We were never greeted or even acknowledged. We were in the store for at least 10 minutes, at a non-busy time. I even picked up the pair I wanted and showed them to my wife, and still nothing. By this point my mind had been changed due to the terrible customer service. Even when my wife asked one of the "workers " who seemed to be burdened to assist. I put the boot back and walked out the door. I even considered going back today for a fresh look, but after seeing these reviews I won't waste my time. Love the brand ... loved the service ...love my new Mules . Quality , service , selection. This is a store where the product is worth the cost. You will wear these for years. If you are looking for a great pair of boots, look no further. Upon entering the store I was greeted with a warm welcome. After looking around and checking out the wide selection of boots, great travel bags , and other gift items it was time to try on my desired shoe. The gentleman who helped me was so accommodating. I tried on a pair , worried it might be tight he brought another pair 1/2 size bigger. But after a make sense discussion , I bought the size I came in for. This mule is a cross between a boot and a shoe. Ohh I love these. Pants, dresses, skirts and shorts ... so very cute and very comfy. I wore them later that night and walked a significant ways. A good selection of boots if you can afford the luxury. They are a higher end boot. We can never find boots that are in our size though, so haven't been able to actually get a pair yet. Upon further examination it turns out I was charged four times for two pairs of boots! I spoke to the new manager David who is helping me resolve this (new) issue. Ugh. Apparently they have good deal of turnover here as I told him I had spoken to 5-6 different people on the original issue. Caution: be very careful with sales people at the register (point of sale) here when you are trying on different pairs of shoes to ensure you are not inadvertently charged. This place is ridiculous...the only other word I have for the store and it's employees is pretentious. I wasn't spoken to until I asked for a size. There were multiple employees in the store on a Tuesday and they were dressed to the 9s. I'm not sure what Lucchese is trying to sell but I will not be paying the prices. They have cowboy boots for 16k in the store. I get it... you pay for quality. But this isn't it anymore. I have never seen a business forget where they came from more than Luchesse. We visited the store over the summer and it was empty. There were 4 or 5 sales people in a tight cluster at the register. They didn't acknowledge us when we walked in. So we mosied over to the boots. They are very well made and had a lot of flair. I was looking for something more discreet. Eventually a sales lady provided some assistance. When I later showed them a picture of the boot I wanted to buy on their website, they shrugged and said they couldn't assist. I would have LOVED to have bought some boots. I respect the artists who create their boots. But the sales people in the Nashville store did a real disservice to the artisans. I feel it comes down to poor training and sales management--the sales people should see their jobs as ambassadors of the brand and leave people with a sense of pride and excitement that these boots are made by people highly trained in their craft in the US. After reading the reviews I was skeptical. We entered the store and went to the women's section, I browsed for about 2 minutes and decided that I did not really think they were for me. Kendall came up and asked how I was doing, I let her know I liked the more square toe and she suggested a pair of Savannah's. I said ok let's try it. Kendall sat with me as I tried on the boots, answered all of my questions, even pulled in a young man to verify as I have large calf's. When I found out that my company was rewarding all my hard work last year with a trip to Nashville, I knew I had to come home with a pair of "real" cowboy boots. When I found out that being one of the seven elite top performers came with a trip to Lucchese, I was ecstatic. I knew who they were. I loved their stuff, but they were way outside my budget...unless you were getting a gift certificate that could put a giant dent in the cost! Which is exactly what happened. The moment we entered the store we received VIP treatment. There was champagne waiting for us, all of their associates and managers were there ready to greet us and assist, and they were extremely patient with us as we asked our questions and made our selections. My choices were a little more difficult because of my wide feet and small shoe size, but the manager found 3 awesome pairs that fit my criteria. I walked away spending over my allotted gift certificate amount and being sold the tools to help loosen and condition my new boots, as well as instructions on how to properly care for them as they're both leather and Python. A 7.5 Narrow, I went with a 7 Medium as this style had no narrows. Fits like a glove. 7.5 M would have worked as well and given a slightly looser, sloppier fit; just depends on how you like your boot to fit. Cannot go wrong either way. The Service: 1 out of 5. Lucchese is a small company and it is inflexible, making online purchases challenging. The boot was a Christmas gift and ordered mid-November due to pandemic shipping delays. Arriving with a defect, which Lucchese confirmed, customer service said the boot had to be purchased by Nov 25 to be eligible for a Christmas return. I could get only a store credit. The Conclusion: I paid an increased retail price. I paid a restocking fee. I had a terrible experience involving a lot of my time. I did get a great boot. And I WILL NEVER purchase another pair. Try Tecova! The Problem: Not sure of my sizing, I wanted to try two sizes. With no brick and mortar Lucchese store in my geographical region, I had to order online. The Quandary: How to order two sizes, return the one which did not fit and use my store credit? Seems straightforward. Not so for a small company with no online sophistication. The Nightmare: Comprised of only 4 customer service agents, it seems coordination should be simple. Problem #1: 4 agents, 4 distinct procedures. Problem #2: Lucchese didn't have both sizes of boots in stock. A narrow return window required both boots to be ordered and delivered simultaneously. Problem #3: Finally in stock 3 months later, the retail price increased. Problem #4: Lucchese divided the credit between both boots. To return the pair that did not fit meant I would not have used 50% of the credit, so the only way to solve this, according to Lucchese: return both boots and reorder the boot I wanted. Good policy? Force a return of something the customer wants to correct bookkeeping? Problem #5: Lucchese ignored its written waiver of the restocking fee. I love the boots, have a couple pair. But the customer service is just abysmal here. I went in with questions last week and wanted to know about the process of ordering a custom pair. I was told I would have to have an appointment to look at custom ordering. There were two other customers in the store. I asked if they had any appointments available and if the person who handles custom work would be in that day. "Oh, it's just the managers who do it..." Guess where the manager was: standing behind the counter 10 feet away. For the next 20 minutes, every time I asked a question about a boot, my salesperson would say "I don't know... let me check" and then walk 10 feet to the manager, ask her, and then come back with a one-word answer. It got so comical in the end, I just started asking my questions to the manager across the store. She still never acknowledged me. In the end, I sat down in the store, looked up the information I needed online, and then told the saleperson what I was looking for. She still couldn't help me find the boots, I found them on my own.
