The Doc goat leather Scotch colored. Post-shine 7 weeks in
    Daniel T.

Have had nothing but positive experiences with Tecovas. Got my first pair of cowboy boots here. The rep was super helpful and patient, answering all my questions. I was debating between cow leather (Dallas style) and goat (Ft Worth style), and opted goat for the patina and the less shiny look. Also liked the scotch color. I ended up getting the Doc because the square toe was more comfortable for my feet. Definitely recommend trying multiple styles and sizes. You want it to feel like a firm handshake. Also got complementary sparkling water (they have other drinks)! Excellent hospitality. Haven't had a problem with service when I came on a Sunday and a weekday afternoon. They also provide free boot shines and branding of the pull up straps! Definitely a good experience and if you are thinking of investing in boots, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Tecovas. The quality is worth the price. There's a website 10% coupon you can apply for your first purchase. Pic below of my boots post-shine about 7 weeks in

Socks, very uncomfortable logo, and prints on the bottom of your foot.

Company does not stand behind defective products. No customer service. Do not buy socks there.

1 star for Tecovas. Bought a pair of $250 boots and they came apart on the first wear. No cowboy/ workboot should do this after 1 use To make it worse. They won't do anything about it in-store. They gave us the customer service number for us to process. Couldn't exchange boots or get a refund Tecovas customer service is seriously lacking. Won't ever buy anything with this name on it.

My sister flew all the way from Germany wanting to take a piece of Texas back home with her, and we are so grateful we found this place. We were initially struggling to find boots that fit, but we were quickly approached by an incredible gentleman who turned our frustration into an education. He was so kind and passionate; he explained that for tall boots, it's about the calf fit, not just the sole size. He taught us how to read the codes inside the boots rather than just the size tag and personally helped us try them on and off with such patience. When we moved to the hats, he was just as helpful. He made sure we picked hats that wouldn't fly off while horseback riding and helped us color-match them perfectly to our new boots. He even steamed and customized the hats right there (the photo of him working his magic with the steam is a memory we'll cherish!) to ensure a perfect, firm fit. Beyond his expertise, he shared the wonderful 70-year history of his father's store. He made us feel so welcome and happy--it felt like talking to a great father figure. We didn't stop talking about his kindness all the way to the car. If you want top-notch customer service and an authentic Texas welcome, please go see him. He made our entire trip special!

They want you to make an appointment to shop here but there's no one inside. The destitute situation in downtown Dallas also makes it seem depressing; who wants to shop in a store with no customers inside (since they won't let them in without an appointment) and then buy a $2k Rabanne dress with desperate homeless people outside? The security is fierce. I guess they need to be.

This pathetic excuse for a "manager" lacks even the self-awareness to recognize her own incompetence. Her leadership is as inconsequential as a lepton, and her professional conduct is an outright joke. Arlette SILVA A laughably inept "IT Coordinator" at Forty Five Ten, whose technical prowess rivals that of a box of hair. Even the simplest task--like removing an email address at a client's request--somehow exceeds her baffling incompetence. Frankly, this IT department would be more effective if it were staffed by lab-rejected monkeys from failed pharmaceutical trials. An embarrassment to the IT profession.

Long story short - I have some evidence suggesting that Mr. Taylor's account has been hacked and none of these messages are from him. I talked to people familiar with Mr. Taylor and his business. He is currently away from the store and isn't super familiar with the inner workings of Instagram. I was very skeptical at first but I now think that this may be a case of a weak password and some savvy hackers. The messages people are receiving from this account are awful and sexist. I've been told that this Instagram account will soon be shut down and disassociated with this store. It seems, from some of the non-Instagram reviews on here, that Mr. Taylor has been running a decent business for a while. Here's to hoping that this is a case of technological-ineptitude and not disgusting lechery. Giving you one last shot Mr. Taylor!
