I brought the defunct drive into Run PC to see if they might be able to recover my data. They called me right away to tell me they were able to recover everything and I dropped off my external for them to place the 250 GB of recovered data, and it only took them a day to transfer everything over at USB 2.0 speeds (not their fault, it's the capability of my hard drive.) They only charged me an hour ($69)! I am really impressed by their speed and the price. I expected it to be much worse. I'll definitely be back if I ever have another technology issue. This sure was a disappointment. I downloaded a Windows update and my computer started acting…read morestrangely and running very slow. So, I took my PC to The Computer Guy (TCG) and he says my PC is fine and wants $30 for the diagnosis and another $300 to install a SSD hard drive. My PC is not fine, it takes almost 15-minutes to reboot, is slow and Outlook is not working despite reinstalling it and changing the email password multiple times. TCG said my Outlook problems was a GoDaddy issue (they host the email through Microsoft) so yesterday I spent 4.5 hours working with GoDaddy and they eventually said it was a hardware problem, exactly what I told TCG GoDaddy would say. I'm now hiring another IT company to remotely access my desktop and help me find a solution. What really bothered me about this situation was TCG asking me technical questions over my head when I am not a computer expert. It was like going to the doctor complaining about a pain and being told there is no problem because I don't know the cause.

They were very straightforward and got the go ahead from me for every additional cost fixing my laptop would require. No surprises. A little background about me: I'm an IT Professional myself with experience in the Computer Repair industry. Now mostly in software development, but when my daughter's laptop started having issues that I suspected were Hard drive related, and me not feeling like going DIY on this (just didn't have the time to buy hard drive, figure out how to crack open laptop, replace HD, re-install windows 10, etc.) I opted to find a good repair shop in Loveland, so I came here and was not disappointed :-) Prices were reasonable considering the work done. Job was done right the first time, HD is cranking like never before, their employees were friendly, seriously what more could you ask for.
