Our initial service call to Keep Smiling was for an electrician to troubleshoot and fix a problem…read moreour sump pump was pulling power from outdoor outlets. Our electrician Joshua Craig was able to identify the problem with the outlets and the circuitry during that visit. We elected to have a brand new sump pump installed as the old one had seen better days and was almost 15 years old. During his inspection of our 50+ year old home, he assessed many more of our outlets are probably in need of replacement and we should consider a full service for the home. We are very safety conscious and keep up with the house needs so we agreed with Joshua and signed off on the work. As we left for vacation that week, we were secure with Joshua having access to our home for the week so he could complete the work without interruption. While we were on vacation, Joshua contacted us several times with an update on the work. There were several critical repairs that were needed to bring some of the wiring up to code that he needed permission to fix. We did that via email and he was able to continue working without stoppage. When we returned home, we were extremely impressed not only with the quality of Joshua's workmanship but the quality of the materials he used. All of the sockets and plates are matching throughout the house. They are quiet, reliable, and many of the lights don't flicker anymore! The new wiring he performed dramatically affected the lighting in the areas addressed. We have GFCI in all the right places now and the security our home wiring is safe. In terms of the efficiency of the company staff, they were on top of everything from setting up and confirming appointments by text and phone to letting us know everyday the timeframe that Joshua would arrive each day. Joshua was very prompt in returning our texts and made sure we understood all the work that was to be performed. We would definitely recommend Joshua and Keep Smiling for a large electrical job such as ours. They were professional and courteous throughout the process. Thanks for the cookies!

Unfortunately, I feel gouged and taken advantage of by Keep Smiling and won't be using them again…read more Short version: they charged me over $400 to cap an already exposed PVC line. I had a water line burst during the recent storm. I shut the water off and located the line break in my garage. I removed the drywall to expose the pipe and cut it above the break. I would have capped it myself but I had to leave town for work, so I had a friend meet the tech so that he could simply cap the line off and I would address replacing the line at a later time. The tech called and told me their book price was $615 for external line repair, but this was internal PVC pipe and not really a repair, so he would call his manager and get a more appropriate price. Unfortunately, he proceeded to do the work without clearing the new price with me, which was still $515. I called around and checked with two other plumbing companies on their rates for the same work of capping a line and they quoted ~$200. I called Keep Smiling and was able to get an additional $100 off the rate, but it was still quite high. I paid over $400 for someone to cap a line that was already exposed. The tech was at my house for 40 minutes and spent less than 15 minutes capping the pipe. He was very friendly, as was Amy at the call center (why I gave two stars instead of one), but this just wasn't handled appropriately. I don't appreciate getting gouged. I still need to have the line repaired, but they lost out on that work and any future work.

I called them up and while I expected to have to wait a few days, they came out same day. They took a look and cleaned out my garbage disposal with no problem. I was worried it might be damaged, but all was good. They were very responsive, quick and most importantly to me: very transparent about pricing. I was very pleased with their service and will call again for all of my plumbing needs.

I'm a retired software engineer, not a tradesman in any sense of the word. I decided to do the job myself. The water heater from Lowe's and all the necessary fittings, hoses etc cost me $900. I installed the water heater myself in under 2 hours. All of the fittings are twist on. Their quote of $3000 included over $2000 of labor. That's an hourly rate of $1000 per hour! I don't know about you but I can't afford to waste money by paying a plumber that much per hour. That's a yearly rate of over 2 million dollars! They claim to be reasonably priced and affordable. In what world is $1000 per hour reasonable or affordable? A reasonable price would be $1100 - $1200. I disposed of the old water heater, for free, at Radius Recycling in Lithonia.

Exceptional Service from Beginning to End…read more I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Isaac Adkison of TE Certified and the exceptional service he provided from our initial consultation through the completion of a significant plumbing repair at my home. I contacted TE Certified after discovering a concealed hot-water leak beneath the slab of my home. From the very first visit, Isaac stood out because of the thoroughness of his assessment, his knowledge, and the amount of time he took to help me understand what was happening and the different options available to address it. This was a major repair decision for me, and rather than rushing me toward a particular solution, Isaac carefully explained the advantages, disadvantages, uncertainties, and long-term considerations associated with each option. Over the days that followed, I had many questions--and I mean many! Isaac answered every one of them with an incredible amount of patience, professionalism, and detail. He never made me feel as though I was asking too much or taking up too much of his time. When I needed clarification about specific items on the estimates, how the proposed reroute would work, the existing plumbing, freeze concerns, accessibility, restoration, or the potential for future issues, he consistently responded with thoughtful and knowledgeable explanations that helped me make an informed decision. What impressed me just as much was his honesty. When there were things he could not know with absolute certainty until the walls were opened or the existing piping was further evaluated, he said so. I greatly appreciated that. I never felt pressured or given false assurances simply for the sake of making a sale. When I ultimately asked Isaac what he would recommend as the best long-term solution for my particular home, he gave me a clear professional recommendation and thoroughly explained his reasoning. That gave my family and me the confidence we needed to proceed with rerouting the hot- and cold-water lines to the kitchen through conditioned interior space. On the day of the work, that same level of professionalism continued. After locating the plumbing manifold beside the refrigerator, Isaac made an extremely clean and precise opening in the drywall, preserving the piece so that it could be neatly replaced afterward. As the routing plan developed, he initially proposed one solution, but when I expressed concern about how it would affect the appearance and countertop area of the kitchen, he listened to my concerns and was completely receptive to exploring an alternative route I suggested. He evaluated it carefully and determined that the new lines could instead be routed behind the refrigerator and stove and through the lower cabinetry to the sink. The result exceeded my expectations. Isaac, with the assistance of Reeves, completed the work with tremendous care and attention to detail. The new lines were insulated, neatly routed and securely installed, and the workmanship throughout was exceptionally clean and organized. They protected the surrounding areas while working, treated the home with care, and left the kitchen looking virtually unchanged despite the extent of the plumbing work that had been completed. You would never know from looking at the finished kitchen that such a significant reroute had taken place. Most importantly, after the new lines were installed and the water was restored, Isaac checked the water meter to verify the result. The meter was no longer moving. After dealing with the stress of a concealed leak and having to keep the hot water shut off, seeing that meter remain still--and knowing the leak had finally been resolved--was an enormous relief. Another thing I greatly respect is that the project remained at the best-case estimate I had authorized: $2,915. There were opportunities throughout this process for the scope or cost to increase, but Isaac remained transparent about the work that was actually necessary and completed the agreed-upon repair accordingly. There is a difference between someone who simply knows how to perform a trade and someone who combines technical expertise with integrity, communication, patience, problem-solving, respect for the homeowner, and genuine pride in his work. In my experience, Isaac demonstrated all of those qualities. I also want to recognize Reeves for his assistance in completing the work so carefully and efficiently. Together, they did an immaculate job. As a homeowner, especially when dealing with a costly repair in an area outside of your own expertise, it is incredibly important to feel that you can trust the person advising you. Isaac earned that trust. He did not just repair a plumbing problem; he helped me understand it, thoughtfully walked me through a difficult decision, listened to my concerns, and ultimately delivered a solution that I feel very confident about. I am genuinely grateful that Isaac was the plumber assigned to m
