Beware! I was over charged by at least 5 quarts of oil. My bill was $246.08 for an oil change on a Diesel engine. Invoice shows 5 qts at 52.00 then 8 additional at 131.20! What a rip off. As a single female traveler, from out of state, I felt very taken advantage of and do not recommend. read more

I've only been here twice and I'm new to Bowling Green, so I chose Tech Tune based on their Yelp reviews. They have not disappointed me! I came a few days ago to get an oil change and tire rotation. They were unfortunately booked full for tire rotations but the lady working at the desk was very kind and gave me her card telling me to call the next business day and set it up. It took me a little longer to get back to her but when I did call, she was so helpful and got my appointment scheduled right away. For the oil change, the employees were very kind and got me in and out very quickly. Another plus, they have complimentary coffee while you wait! I went back for the tire rotation and was disappointed it wasn't complimentary (as the yelp offer says). $25 is a lot for me to pay for a job I can do on my own (it's that time of life where I have more time than money). I will likely be back for services I can't do, but still bummed about the tire rotation. read more

Absolutely horrible business! Do NOT take your vehicle there to be serviced!!! I took my vehicle there this morning for a simple oil change and while I was there they said that the lights next to my license plate were not working and stated that to fix/replace it it would cost an additional $14 which I said was fine and to do it. I left there and ran some errands before going home. I was home for about an hour before I had to pick up my son from school and when I went outside there was a huge oil/fluid spill under my vehicle. I got in and went to head to pick up my son and called Tech Tune immediately to let them know and they said to go back home and not to drive it and that they would send a tow truck. I'm fine if they made a mistake and were going to fix it, however, they (Lee/Jimmy) are stating that it wasn't oil and that it was transmission fluid and that they had notated my receipt of the issue yet never said a word to me. That my hoses had out of the blue busted and caused the leak despite not having any previous issues in the past. I explained to them that I have a regular mechanic that works on my vehicle that hasn't said anything in regards to any leaks and that the only reason I brought it to Tech Tune was because it was so cold out and didn't want to inconvenience him. I spoke to my mechanic who is aware of the shady dealings they have in regards to trying to upcharge for unnecessary repairs and he stated that leaks weren't an issue before. I've only had my oil changed at Tech Tune and my mechanic for the last several years and NONE of my receipts from Tech Tune indicated an oil leak. But (BAM) out of the blue my vehicle has issues after getting an oil change and they conveniently notated on my receipt that there was an oil leak but didn't tell me ...yet let me know about the lights on my license plate not working??? They are stating that where they worked on the vehicle was no where close the those hoses. Their response was that they notated on my receipt about the leak which absolves them of responsibility. Big scam if I have ever heard of one!!! I will NEVER be back and will be pursing legal remedies! Stay away from these CROOKS!!!! Update: Now they won't let my mechanic (who went with another mechanic) to look at it without paying for the towing fee. And they stated that they didn't care if I never brought my vehicles there to be repaired they just wanted their money for the tow. Bunch of CROOKS!!! read more

I sometimes go here for oil changes. I mainly rely on this place if I need to have my car services immediately. The crew is pretty good at documenting issues with my vehicles. Oil changes are a little expensive relative to the dealership and mechanic that I prefer, but they do complete their work without a wait. For oil changes, this place is better than average. I have not used their other services, so I defer to other reviewers. I might use them again in the future. We'll see. read more

Well, another service shop to not trust! This is very minor, however, my first oil change with them was a bit more expensive than anticipated, but my major beef is when a company claims they check things and/or top off fluids, that it actually happens. According to the invoice, my washer fluid was filled, when I got home, later in the evening, I decided to check under my hood. Surprise! washer fluid was less than half. Gotta wonder if they checked other things that they claimed. read more

SUMMARY: THEY ARE LIARS. THEY ARE OVERPRICED. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. I highly recommend that you read all the negative reviews out there for this place. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to get my serpentine belt replaced and I knew the alignment of my pulleys was probably off, so I expected to pay a little more than normal. They replaced the belt and tensioner which cost me about $300. THEN THE MAGIC HAPPENED. I (like a fool) trusted that everything was fine and did not check under the hood. That is until my power steering went out BECAUSE THEY PUT THE BELT ON INCORRECTLY. There is LITERALLY a diagram of how the belt should be routed RIGHT UNDER THE HOOD. So I took it to them and they had the AUDACITY to say the belt WAS put on correctly but my power steering pump was out and said they'd fix it for $505. I had other people look at the diagram and look at the belt to confirm it had been put on incorrectly so TECH-TUNE LIED TO MY FACE. When I went back there (because I was taking it ANYWHERE else), I checked under the hood and they had UNETHICALLY TRIED TO HIDE THEIR MISTAKE AND PUT THE BELT ON THE RIGHT WAY BUT STILL CLAIMED THEY PUT IT ON CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME. They then charged me about $50 just to check it out after lying to me. Front desk lady was deceivingly nice. This place may be nice for an oil change, but for anything otherwise, take your business somewhere else. And I don't want to hear anything else from tech-tune so don't call me or email me or even respond to this. read more

Sorry I will not be able to call Tech Tune my new home for Auto Repair. stopped in with no appointment near the end of the day and they were gracious enough to take a look at my brakes for a loud squeal. Turns out that your brakes have an indicator that is supposed to tell you when they need to be replaced... who knew?? very thrilled that not only were they able get the brake pads replaced, but they took the time to explain options so that i could make a decision that fit my budget and my needs. love the service and the value.. these guys are great and i would DEFINITELY return for service if in the area again.. i recommend Tech Tune for all Auto needs. I ended up paying twice what the Kia dealership would have charged. Here is the breakdown: $89.95 Diagnostics - Okay with that $29.95 A/C Check - Okay with that $54.95 Oil Change: $12.00 Labor - Great price on labor $42.95 Oil and filter - A bit high but reasonable Everything above is fair enough... now for the problem $59.94 (6) Spark plugs - More than doubled from Napa's $28.14 Martin Kia's Price - $111.00 for (6) $62.99 Manifold gasket - More than doubled from Napa's $25.99 $440.97 (3) Ignition Coils - More than doubled from Napa's $81.49 Martin Kia's Price - $287.61 for (3) $259.78 Labor - Really high when it should only take 2 hours Martin Kia's Price - $198.00 $19.85 Intake system cleaner - Reasonable?? $14.85 Fuel Injector cleaner - Reasonable?? $14.85 Throttle body cleaner - Reasonable?? $100.36 Labor - WTH... I was trying to get my minivan back home to NY from Nashville. Front end clunking & vibrations started on highway. I paid $35 for a diagnostic & they explained the rack & pinion system was loose internally. It would cost ~$2200 but when I told them I just needed to get back to NY they said it was not a safety issue at all. Then they stayed late to replace a blown headlight bulb so I could get back on the road that night. Trust these people! Professionals. They have too much straight business to bother to lie. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have had nothing but bad experiences with TechTune. The first time that I brung my vehicle in was about a year and a half ago to replace a water pump. It turns out that the water pump wasn't the problem because it was a transmission problem , and I had to get it fixed from a different place. Just recently, a couple days ago, I came in again under the impression that my water pump was bad, and since I had of warranty, I went there to get it fixed. They did their own inspection and said that the real problem was the heater core. They wanted $1300. Ridiculous!! So I decided to call around other places, and I found one that would get it done for a lot better price for $885. TechTune is all around a very expensive place and they try to rip you off for your money. As a college student and a female who does not know much about cars, they tried to take advantage of that and charge me more than necessary. After taking it again, to a different mechanic, it turns out it was not the heater core that was bad, it was the thermostat. I since got my the thermostat replaced somewhere else, and my vehicle runs perfectly now. I am so very disappointed with TechTune for trying to charge me $1300 for a repair that ended up costing only $200. If I would've gone ahead and went with the heater core repair, I would've Lost $1300 and still would've had to replace the thermostat. I will never go to this place again, and I hope whoever is reading this won't go there either! read more

I took my vehicle to Tech-Tune without an appointment on Tues morning. Tech-Tune inspected the vehicle made suggestions on what all needed to be repaired (brakes, rotors, rear CV axles - left/right, lower ball joints, alignment, a/c not cooling). Tech Tune called me with an estimate and completed all repairs by Friday. Tech-Tune offered a 3 yr/36k mile warranty and the local dealer only offered 1 yr/12k mile warranty. Tech-Tune was slightly cheaper than dealer prices. Tech-Tune has been very honest about what services they could provide and about what services would be better preformed at a different shop. I would highly recommend these folks. read more

All the guys at Tech Tune get a big thumbs up from me. They are fast (obviously you have to wait if there are multiple care in line), and I never feel "little lady'ed" when I pull into the garage. The first time I went they didn't have the filter for my car - a Subaru CrosTrek - it was the first CrosTrek they had serviced. It was ordered and I returned the the next day. Now they always have the parts for my car available. Last week, they asked if my windshield wipers, which I had purchased there and had a one year warranty, were working okay. Indeed, the left wiper was not working great, so they replaced them free of charge. Tech Tune is awesome! read more
