Look no further for a dentist! Dr. Sean Ma and his team at Tech Ridge do fantastic work. He's very friendly and capable. During my (two) yearly check-up, Dr. Ma found a number of "inconsistencies" and meticulously explained what he was seeing. He referenced x-rays and pictures to show me exactly what he was seeing. I walked away understanding exactly what I needed done and why. He also gave me a bunch of advice and a "goodie bag" (with toothpaste, tooth brush and a prescription for fluoride toothpaste). The office is clean, new and the staff are very friendly. The waiting room is great, although I didn't have to wait very long. I'd highly recommend Tech Ridge Dental and Dr. Ma. read more

The dentist himself did my cleaning, which I have no qualms about a hygienist doing but it was a first. Unfortunately I had to have some cavities filled and honestly didn't feel a thing. I also watched, with ease, a Sandra Bullock movie on the ceiling during the procedure. "Dr. Sean" called me himself a few days later to be sure I was doing alright. Like many others, it had been a while since I had been to the dentist and I knew there was some ugly stuff going on in my poor mouth. I am brand new to Austin so I couldn't even really ask around. So I searched for a dentist on my insurance company's website and just kind of blindly chose this one. It was close to my house and there weren't a ton of dentists listed at the office (in my experience, those huge practices are often the training grounds for freshly minted dentists). When I got there the place looked brand spanking new and was quite comfortable. I was greeted warmly and kindly, and was offered a complimentary beverage. My hygeinist came out of the back and greeted me with the same warmth and friendliness. To make a long story short, the teeth weren't too bad with the exception of one poor guy that will likely need to be extracted (thankfully a way-back molar). Doctor Ma explained everything to me in great detail, outlined all of my options, and was very kind when she told me what damage had to be fixed. I was given a print-out of the cost of any and all procedures that I may need or choose in the future at the end of the visit and was scheduled for a night guard fitting for the next day. I'm so pleased that my first shot at a new dentist was such a success. I would highly recommend them if only I had more friends in the Austin area. read more

So, I haven't been to the dentist in five years. I was a little bit hesitant about going to the dentist in general. Today was my first day at Tech Ridge Dental. When I first walked in the door, Lindsey's bright red hair and big smile. She was very friendly and took care of my insurance paper work right away. I couldn't help but notice how clean nice this office looked. My hygienist, Kim was very thorough with my cleaning and really took the time to show me how to care for my teeth. I could tell that she really cares for her patients. Then Dr. Minnie came did my consultation. She was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions, and I had a ton. She was very patient and made sure that I was comfortable with all the treatments options. I would recommend her to anyone. At the end of the consultation, Ken helped figure out insurance and my payment options. He made sure I knew exactly how much I was going to need for everything and made sure I was in budget. Overall, 5 stars experience. I am looking forward to coming back and fixing my teeth. read more

I have MAJOR anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist; following a traumatic incident that happened several decades ago when I was a child, I've always harbored an intense fear and mistrust of people who come near my mouth with sharp metal instruments. I was told about two years ago that I needed to get my wisdom teeth out, but kept putting it off until finally they grew out of the gums and began running into my other teeth. The pain that came was so unbearable that I finally decided I couldn't put it off any longer. I had just moved back to Austin not too long ago and received a flyer in the mail about Tech Ridge Dental, and started looking into a good place to get my wisdom teeth out. I had heard enough horror stories about dry socket and crappy dentists who did a terrible job with this procedure, so I was a bit worried. However, everything I've ever read about this place was so stellar, I scheduled a consultation appointment. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this was a very well-kept, professional setting. Their lobby had comfortable chairs, water and a Keurig, free Wi-Fi, even a computer you could use. Everyone was SO incredibly nice and addressed everyone who walked in by name. In the actual treatment area, there really wasn't anything they hadn't thought of. There was an ottoman to put belongings on, sunglasses so the light doesn't get in your eyes, even TVs installed on the ceiling. Dr. Sean was very thorough and patient as he explained what the procedure would look like, addressed all of my questions, and assured me that I would be given everything to prevent me from feeling a thing during the procedure. On the day of the procedure, I was extremely nervous! But, Mercedes was very calm and made sure I was comfortable, even offering me a blanket after I took the triazolam and ibuprofen. That was actually the last thing I remembered of the procedure, which is exactly what I wanted. After getting home, the first couple of days were quite uncomfortable but I healed very quickly. I felt like my healing time was a lot quicker than what a lot of other people warned me! By the third day or so, I started eating solid food again (in tiny bite sized pieces and only using my front teeth, of course!) and by the time I went back for my follow-up appointment, I was eating normally and felt 100% better. On the second day after my procedure, Dr. Sean even called to check up on me. During my follow-up appointment, Danielle was very nice and explained to me how to make sure food didn't get into the back of my mouth. It was a very quick appointment, and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Overall, I think this place is fantastic. Their professionalism, customer service, and friendliness all deserve 5 stars on top of the great job they did with my bothersome wisdom teeth! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dentist in the Austin area. read more

I have been terribly afraid of the dentist most of my life. No more. After a couple of visits to see Dr. Minnie Ma, I'm in awe of her skill, kindness and compassionate manner. She and Mercedes put me completely at ease, and did a surgical procedure that I have been putting off for years. I can't say enough good things about Tech Ridge Dental. My husband and I started going after we moved to Austin from Dallas. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and I was honestly terrified of going. Dr. Sean and the entire staff do everything they can to make you comfortable. I had about 5 cavities, but the crowns that Dr. Sean put in have held up better than I could've hoped. (I had nothing to be afraid of after all!) The office itself is wonderful. The setup is very professional and clean, and TVs on the ceiling are a nice touch. They also provide generous payment plans (handy when you have 5 cavities) and their rates are very reasonable (like when I had to go in for an early cleaning because my pregnancy led to some gingivitis and my insurance didn't cover the visit). But what makes this office stand apart is the staff. Everyone is welcoming, nice, and genuinely cares about getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. As cheesy as it sounds, I'm not afraid of going to the dentist and I actually look forward to going now. My husband and I may soon be moving back to Dallas, but I'm seriously considering coming back to Tech Ridge Dental for my appointments. I have been to the office twice and had such an amazing experience from the moment I walk in the door. That is pretty crazy to say too because Dr. Sean told me I had my first cavity ever!!!! I am a huge scaredy cat when it comes to needles and Dr. Sean and his staff have showed me nothing but compassion. They truly listen to your questions and concerns and make the experience very enjoyable. I found this dentist through my insurance (Delta Dental) after I first moved to Austin over two years ago. It's right near my apartment and work, so it works out perfectly. They have been very friendly and professional. They are also very accommodating to your schedule. Each appointment comes with a reminder and required confirmation to ensure you are aware it is upcoming and prevent any cancellations. The technology is much more advanced than other dentists I have visited before. Dr. Sean is very helpful in explaining your condition concisely yet completely. He definitely wants to see good, improving teeth over the lifetime of the patient. After the visit, they'll give you a price breakdown and an estimate for the next visit. The prices are pretty fair as well, especially after insurance. I've definitely enjoyed going to Tech Ridge Dental and I wholly plan on keeping them as my dentist going forward. read more

They walked me through, showing me pictures of troubled areas gaining my trust as it was very obvious of the work needed.
