Terry messaged me back and forth for a whole weekend helping me to narrow down the issues with my TV.. for free! He unfortunately did not have the part but sent me a link to where it could be purchased and has offered to come install it when it arrives if I want. Crazy ( I paid for it ! ) Anyway, that was years ago and it had been in storage ever since . It was new when he broke it so I figured why not see if it could be fixed. I looked around at possibilities, and saw good reviews for Firefly. They were close ( located across from Waterfront station in the Harbour Centre ) I tried to get an online quote on their Yelp page, but it wasn't working. I emailed them, and was told to come down in person. I went to the shop. It was easy to locate, and very clean and organized. I didn't have to wait, and I explained the problem. I didn't get an exact quote, but was told it should be around 60$. I told him I didn't care about what it looked like, as long as it turned on. I also told him to let me know if it was going to be more then 60$ I got an email the next day saying it was ready to be picked up. I replied asking what the total was, but I just went In rather then wait around. It worked like a charm, as I tested it out. He had made a custom power button that was cute and actually looked better then the stock one. The total was around 67$ with tax. Fast, friendly, efficient service. I will be back !

The lady was extremely courteous even when I was calling frequently to check on the status of the repair. They had to close due to the coronavirus but made sure that I got my drive back, and didn't charge me anything despite all the hours they put in. I managed to recover a portion of the data myself with a software I purchased, but I'm grateful for all they did for me.
