Unlike other shops, John expressed concerned about gasoline-related hazards and our safety. Also, Carlos was nice to us and helped us set an appointment. So after setting an appointment, we brought our car in the morning and met John. John treated us like family from the start. He was very friendly and honest. Right away, he looked under the hood and explained to us what the problem was. He was patient with us and described fully what our issue was and what are options were. We needed to replace the Fuel Regulator. John tried to make it cost-effective for us and gave us a reasonable price. Finally, after having my car towed there for the second time, as arranged the day before, but hearing nothing 24 hours later, I called and was told simply and directly that my car's repair was "not a priority" for them. On the day of my appointment, 11/22/25, I called in the morning to advise the store that I would be picking up the tires only and would not be needing installation, as the tires were purchased through my place of employment. I was not told this would be an issue during my call but that I could come at anytime. However, when I arrived, I was told I needed to speak to the manager. After waiting, the manager, Brent, informed me that he did not know whether I was "allowed" to simply pick up the tires due to my organization's contract. This was the first time anyone mentioned such a concern. When I asked how this could be confirmed, or why I was not informed earlier when I called, his tone became noticeably escalated and dismissive. I expressed that I simply wanted a good customer experience, as I could see he was becoming increasingly frustrated in both tone and manner. When I asked if there was someone above him I could speak with, he stated there was not. When I asked if there was a corporate office, he simply told me I could "call them," offering no additional assistance or clarity. My husband was present and witnessed the entire exchange. After Brent continued to escalate the situation, my husband intervened and asked what would be done today, stating he was not going to "go back and forth." Brent then retrieved the tires and threw them outside the establishment, clearly upset and making no effort to de-escalate or maintain basic customer courtesy. As he loaded the tires into my truck, I asked for his full name. He replied only "Brent," refused to provide his last name, and ended the interaction with "Have a good day and holiday," despite his behavior being in stark contradiction to respectful customer service. If Brent represents the standard of leadership in this store, then Firestone is failing its customers.

Well, after several misfires I decided to go back to where I know people will not rip me off and came back. They now have an online appointment request form which is pretty easy to navigate and I got my request approved quickly, which isn't an easy feat as they are always busy. They still offer the same amenities (coffee, hand sanitizer) and touchpads/keyless drop off for COVID-19 compliance. This time I didn't tell them I go to local med school and they still treated me fairly, which I appreciated. There was a mix up at the front desk because there were two similar cars, one needed filters and tires replaced and I, knowing from my maintenance schedule, needed my rear brakes and oil filter replaced (among other things but those were the big ones). After telling me I didn't need both cabin and oil filters replaced, one of the workers came back and told me I did, by *bringing my air filters to me in the lobby where other patrons were waiting*, telling me "it's time to be replaced". It was weird because it felt like he was shaming me for not maintaining my car after someone else had a conversation with me about not needing that part fixed. I told him that I will do whatever I need to do in order to get my car running well, but told him about the mix up conversation I had and he was pretty rude to me about it. Ultimately, I paid for all the recommended repairs here even though I was quoted cheaper elsewhere because I like John, since I first met them, him and his team have always been kind and honest with me and I want to support local businesses. However, I was just, more than anything, really hurt by what happened. Maybe they just have a lot of customers being very rude/reactionary when it comes to servicing, but that's not me and it never has been. I know I haven't been here in two years but I still recommend JP to everyone who asks for a quality shop. I honestly still recommend JP, but I will probably talk to Paul or Art next time.
