In all three cases they showed up on time an the jobs were completed in what I would consider to be a timely manner. I could have a brand new toilet in place for that amount. The tech who came on the last trip did give some good advice to prevent the problem from re-occurring. This ended up being a learning experience. Most companies used scare tactics--pushing urgency and pointing out issues in a way that felt overwhelming. We already knew it needed replacing, but we didn't want to feel pressured. Then Jimmy from J. Joyce came in. Instead of pushing, he said something completely different: "If you have problems before you decide to replace it, give me a call--there are a few things I can do to keep you going through the season." That told us everything. He was the only one who led with honesty instead of fear--and that's why we chose J. Joyce. When we received the quote, we were even more impressed. It was fair, thorough, and included everything--equipment, installation, removal, and warranty. We even compared all five quotes side-by-side and felt confident we were making the right choice. Once we approved, they were there the following week and completed the job efficiently. The team was professional, respectful, and kept our white basement impressively clean throughout the process. We want to give a special thank you to: * Angelina - always helpful and great to work with * Jimmy - for your honesty, hard work, and attention to detail * Taylor, Big Joe, and Little Joe - you guys were fantastic and clearly take pride in your work Everyone we dealt with, whether by phone or in person, was outstanding. Joe and his crew are AMAZING! We purchased a new house in Providence and IMMEDIATELY discovered…read morethat everything we flushed, showered, etc. was being backed up into our brand new finished basement. We discovered this on a Sunday evening. Joe became our plumber that night because he made himself available to come out the following morning. And he arrived on time. What he found was a catastrophe that involved a crew to rip out a whole section of sidewalk in front of our house to clear the several feet of city tree branch that had grown into our pipes. He got the right people in to do that job, was onsite to oversee it throughout, and he fixed a few other plumbing hiccups during the interim and even offered to install the new toilet seats we had sitting in their boxes while his excavation guys were doing their thing. He's a really helpful, friendly, and dedicated person who seems committed to making his customers' homes "right". He also put us onto the most fantastic crew to mitigate our basement disaster. After how happy we were with those guys (who were in our home to fix our basement properly for five weeks), I will take recommendations from Joe for anything we need. In fact, we are already working with an electrician he recommended to sort some crazy-wired switches out and move a junction box (not a small job). I recommend Joe and his crew with a 5/5, no question. These guys are great.
