You will pass through a metal detector and asked if you are carrying in any food or drinks ( not allowed) EVENT SPACES: The groom had reserved two private cabanas overlooking a semi private pool just steps from the beach. There was ample shade provided by sturdy patio III umbrellas, private casitas, each seating 10 adults. ATMOSPHERE: Common areas are look tired in the day light. I'm sure that the flaws are masked by the pool lights once the sun sets. Our private party was at the far end of the club; a 10x14' pool flanked by patio furniture in one side and 5 private cabanas on the other. The cabanas were set up living room style with a sofa, coffee table and cabinets for personal belongings. The view from one of the casitas was oceanfront making a lovely backdrop for photos. The music was obnoxiously loud most of the time with pounding bass. Our crowd was celebrating the Grooms and they a great time. In our case, the grooms were running a tab- open bar and order from an extensive bar menu. FOOD: Well presented and the guests seemed to enjoy it. My allergies were an obstacle to most of the menu, but I enjoyed the fruit OUR SERVERS were amazing. Taking orders and finding the guests was like wrangling cats but somehow they did an amazing job. This please is really suited for a 25-40 year old crowd. You know: the clubbing set. Would I recommend it for an older group? No. Was the event successful? The grooms were pleased, so we were also.

While I do wish they played a tad more reggaeton, they do classify as being a "top 40" club and the DJ lived up to that by playing a perfect blend of 120+ BPM pop, EDM, hip hop and Latin music. We got there about 10:40 and I guess they still hadn't open yet so Diego walked us straight into La Vaquita to get us a drink while we waited. Once Dady'O opened he walked us directly inside and hooked us up with a table! This wasn't included in our basic open bar tickets, but we weren't complaining! It was definitely nice to have and kept my wife comfortable throughout the night. Enrique was our bartender and while he did hit me up as we were leaving for yet another tip, he was great throughout the entire night and kept bringing us our drinks and rounds of shots for us and the tables next to us! Yes, there was a guy (don't believe an actual club employee though) who would ask as you left if you "needed anything", but thankfully I never had to talk to him as he was always busy when I walked by... but kids, just say no to drugs and you'll be alright! We're definitely coming back to do it again... however, I would bring a little extra cash since these guys really do take care of you when you take care of them.

Didn't wait on any lines. Didn't have to go to the crowded bar. Was able to dance by our table and on the crowded dance floor. Staff all super nice & kept the drinks flowing. Music was basic AF (perfect). I'm still drunk writing this review and it's 9AM the next morning. You walk in and it feels like a cave. It's darkly lit. There are small tables surrounded a tiered dance floor. It started to get really crowded around 11:30 PM. I highly recommend for a girls night- such fun, dance-y music AND clean bathrooms w no lines (score?!? where all the girls at in Cancun?!). Do yourself a favor, though, and get some sort of deal otherwise you'll be waiting in line forevz.

The club itself is pretty small and the way tables are set up on the rows are very tight spaced. We had been walking in the area earlier that day and made a plan to come back for dinner. When we arrived there were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. Martin was our waiter and he was great. There were a few large screen TVs playing sports. There was live music. A lot was going on but it really worked. People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families. I'm sure the place gets a little more livelier as the night goes on. If you are in the area, this is a good place to eat and enjoy your time in Cancun.

I just drank water, so cannot comment on the drinks. I had the flan for dessert, which was generous in size & ok. One of my friends had the flaming bananas & said it was so yummy! Everything is surprisingly (for Cancun) priced affordable. My enchiladas were about $12. I would happily return here! So much fun!

Outrageous lighting, falling balloons, super loud music, buckets of beers, cheap alcoholic drinks, loud MC yelling, and dancing girls on small stages rounds out the Congo Bar. You will also have the typical opportunity to buy jello shots, roses, and photographs of you and yours; pretty standard at these types of places in Mexico. The Congo Bar is a fun place, and almost every crowd I have seen there has been friendly. Everyone just wants to have fun. On only one occasion did I see a drunk out of control, and the security quickly dealt with it. Speaking of security, the bouncers are very good keeping an eye on who's coming in and going out. They seem to do a good job searching folks on the way in and making sure people don't get too out of control. One of the officers, Alexander, is awesome. He always greets us and hangs out nearby while we visit. We don't stay very long, but it's still a fun place to visit.

Had so many drinks spilled on me. The floor was literally black with mud, dirt, and drinks, they had people coming around to mop the floors. It was insane. We spent an hour just trying to get drinks at the bar and they were not even strong. The music was ok. Mostly hip hop. It finally got less crowded at 2am but the place closed at 3am and it was a very rough place. Absolutely zero room to move and dance. One of the worst club experiences. Only good thing is it's open air so it didn't get too stuffy or hot.

I wanted to leave, but my fiancé wanted to give them a chance. I cleaned the table myself. The server came to take our order & it eventually came out as requested. I ordered chicken strips thinking it was a meal that couldn't be messed up. They had no taste at all. None! My fiancé loved his burger and ate his fries and mine. The chicken went to waste, unfortunately. All in all, it's an ok place to try if you're looking for American food. I just didn't enjoy my experience. When we left the restaurant and walked towards the street near the ice cream shop, the photographer from this restaurant ran after us and asked us to buy our photos. She was so far away from the restaurant & I was shocked that she followed us just to make that sale. My fiancé felt sorry for her and bought a photo and let her keep the change.
